I know you can take a sprint phone to boost, but can I do the reverse?

I am also wondering this as well.

I'm wondering if I can like flash the factory ROM/radio/bootloader for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus onto the Verizon one and basically turn it into a Sprint phone?
I know they're really the same device so I think it could be done with the Nexus Toolkit easily, but before I try I want to know if it really can be done, I know any carriers Sim Card works so why not this too?
Thanks to any that provide info

Not a chance.
verizon cdma radio will work fine on sprint, no need to try to flash a sprint one.
lte obviously will not work at all no matter what you try.
of course getting sprint to recognize the phone is another matter and more trouble then its worth considering the same phone is available on sprint with working lte.

They are not the same device. They are sufficiently different hardware that you wouldn't be able to activate even if you found a Sprint CSR that would be willing to lose their job by adding the MEID to their database
I am looking at buying a "Sprint" Galaxy Nexus and I want to use it with Verizon.
Will I have an issue with 4G if I do this?
Eventually I'm going to put Ubuntus image on it and want to make sure the hardware will work with Verizon totally so I can submit bugs and such.
Thanks
Not sure of the specs on both I know there are some differences in both. But I do know you gotta make it quick because unlocking phones will be illegal on this coming Sunday
Re: [Q] Sprint -> Verizon
No, it won't work. The hardware is different.

Re: [Q] Sprint -> Verizon
Why don't u just get a Verizon gnex and use it with Verizon.

OK thanks for the information. I'll just stick with the Verizon model then.
I am going to use the Ubuntu OS coming out for them next month, and this is the prototype phone they will use.
Re: [Q] Sprint -> Verizon
Years back, verizon allowed sprint touch pros on their network, but now neither sprint nor verizon will allow any non carrier locked phone on their network. You'd have better luck getting Pepsi to put coke in their cans.

And the Verizon Gnexus went on EOL yesterday. So good luck trying to find a new one
Now that the actual sprint g3 is out... Does anyone plan on porting that to our phones? I've tried the other g3 ports but their simply broken for our sprint variants, but the roms are really cool (go go stupid cdma).

Artifesto, on 2faced.com will work on g2 and yes there are still some bugs. But he is the only one working on it for CDMA. Tried taking the stock sprint g3 rom, but won't load.
He hasn't given up though.

CloudyG3 is working well for me, much better than his other ports. I have 4g, mms, etc, without a problem. I just restored your current apns and use hangouts for messaging.
Using on gsm or sprint cdma?

Cloudy G3 1.2 is working for my LS980 and i also get 3g as well as LTE.
I'm having too slow speeds over T-Mobile on DFW area. Tried another sim card and I got the same issue. Apparently other phones in my area are OK. Anyone have a clue? Or I have to get a replacement? TIA

The only real way to kind of prove that it's your phone and not your service is to do speed tests with a few other T-Mobile phones along with your 5X. And if the other are consistently higher, then maybe it's possible its your 5X.
Also, did you get 6.0.1 which give you band 12 LTE?

I'll try to do that whenever I'm getting slow speeds again because unfortunately I never have another tmo phone with me to test when it happens. And also after 7-8pm the speeds gets high again. Weird.

And yes I'm using 6.0.1 right now but it doesn't seems to get any T-Mobile band 12 around here! Also how do you do to get your 5x to work on sprint? I tried to activate mine on boost and then sprint and the guys over there told me that I needed to buy a phone from them.

Just went to a service repair Sprint store. They knew exactly what to do because they received a corporate memo. The guy even showed me it on the screen. Says what SIM to use because they're very specific. This was back in October right when the phone launched.

I have the sprint variant but its pretending its an at&t one by only letting me flash GEEB ROMs instead of the sprint ones. How the heck do I change this? Phone broke so I'm back to my optimus G and haven't messed with this phone in literally years. Forgot a lot.
