with command line. i used "wm size 1920x1200" command . i lowered density from 320 to 260. But keyboard gone crazy. keys were huge. then i edited the build.prop. but it didnt save. so i gave all writing reading permissions on that file. it saved and i reboot BAM. black screen. I am noob about android. first android device. so im sure i did something wrong

The permissions should be rw-r--r--
Maybe that causes the problem. But if you formatted /system in twrp (mounts and storage) then it should be deleted. Maybe try to download a custom rom and try again. Sorry for your problems :/

[Q] Reboot after Softkey-Mod

Hi all,
i've got a question about this Softkey-Mod
Have anyone tried this Mod on the XZL?
Because after flashing this Mod, my XZL reboots when I mount the system partition RW
+1
Mount works for a short moment after rooting...then, after a not defined time I've got reboots.

Hi! I've been using this mode for some time now. See this.
Looks like you might need to factory reset (or flash stock ftf) & then root again (assuming you rooted with locked BL). If BL unlocked, then u must have working CWM, so just wipe cache, flash the mod & try again.
Factory reset with wipe of internal storage? But after a factory reset this mod is still there...or do we have to flash back to stock and start from the beginning?

Problem with the installation of any rom

Me after a problem with the sim as it is blocked momentarily I restarted my phone with 10 cm and suddenly you are stuck on the animation, so I decided to install a new rom, starting from 0, ie starting from the stock and then make the the next steps, and I made them all really (Root, CMW, wipe data cache davilk cache, data cache format system etc.) delivery with installation and all is well, but despite the success, when I turn the phone on the block ' animation of the Roma, and despite spending a considerable amount of time (about an hour) does not start, and this problem will reply with different rom, how can I solve? What happened to my phone? Before the problem with the sim everything was fine HELP

Are you using CWM? That is important. Also, clear data, cache, dalvik and system if you are flashing CM10 from GB.
Edit: Sorry, noticed you said that...

Okay, thats good! is ur back-up saved on external sd card? if it is, try to restore ur working ROM first.
do the following:
1. boot into recovery
2. wipe/ format the following (find the proper entry in the CWM menu structure):
/data
/system
/cache
Dalvik Cache -- please note that this is *different* from the /cache of the previous line!
Internal SD
Leave the External SD! DO NOT FORMAT!
3. restore ur back-up ROM
4. reboot
I have installed several times the rom on galaxy w, always with a good result, but one day when riavviai normally my phone with above cm10, went into bootloop for no reason, at this point ripristinai everything and re-installing gingerbread, then repeat again the whole practice, but since that fateful day I no longer install any rom, the device must always be in bootloop, it only works gingerbread, why what has happened?

You probably clear the /system after you flashed the rom. Or you didn't flash the rom at all.

Try factory reset after flash and see if that helps.

Ok :/ I can't really figure out what's wrong. It sounds strange that everything work fine on stock, but bootloops when flashing CM.
Have you tried any other custom rom to see if it's the same problem?

Fix permissions will not work. It does not do anything, but its a waste if time. In the updated recoveries, it has been removed because its just a placebo.

1) flash boot.img & erase cache.
2) Full wipe, install rom + gapps.
3) Reboot.
maybe hboot could be too low too

Yes, I performed a full system wipe, cache and dalvik wipe, re-installed CM10.2 + GAPPS, and uploaded Hboot to 1.72, but i still can not get the phone to encrypt
What do you mean with encrypt ...also wiped data? Is working for all so you are doing something wrong

Some notifications don't work

After some problems I had to do a fresh install of 3.2.8 and I'm sure that I wiped cache, dalvik, system and user.
After flashing and reinstalling the whole bunch of apps some notifications work as they should (AquaMail, WhatsApp, ...) and some (Tapatalk, Quizduell,... ) don't.
I already tried to reinstall them but that did not help. Strangely I
Is there a way to delete settings and cache per app as a second wiping of cache and dalvik did not help?
Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk
OK, found it myself.
Settings - apps - choose an app - memory - clear data and cache.
Let's see if it helps...

OP3 keeps deleting notifications

Since the last update my OP3 seems to delete or "forget" notifications from the status bar. They are there a shirt period if time and after putting the phone on standby they are gone.
First I thought it has something to do with my smart watch, but even when it is off the notifications vanish.
Anyone else having that problem?
As always I did a full the full zip of the stock ROM with TWRP and cleared cache and dalvik. .
Rooted and Franco kernel.
wipe data /clear cache/dalvik then install stock zip and franco kernel
Well, that would be a clean flash with loosing all the personal data...
