is there a way to install navigation bar and soft keys for Galaxy Tab 10.1 like some of the Nexus devices have. I use the 10.1 in portrait mode and prefer to have keys on screen.
What program/method has worked for any of you? I have Xposed installed and am willing to try anything.

If Xposed is in, you can use gravity box to enable the nav bar. You're rooted, so you can also just edit the build.prop file and drop in a line at the end that reads
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
I've backed away from gravity box in cm11 as it may be related to some odd 'misses' I'm getting in the browser - but that may be more to do with the app settings module and dialing up the size of things in the aosp browser.

So gravity box will do it safely? Have you tried gravity box to do it?

It works but only 3 dot menu key pops up in portrait mode. I tried disabling 3 dot menu on navbar reboot and still same thing. How do I get it to work in portrait?
And touching the bar in other places when in portrait doesn't get a response.

I'm using Kodi on my tablet, but one problem I've encountered is that the softkeys always hide.
Now, I can't remember if it was an app or an Xposed module that allowed you to enable immersive/show hide notification panel/softkeys per app basis.
Would appreciate if someone could help me.
Many thanks!

I believe App Settings has the ability to set the full screen mode per app. You can set it to default, force, prevent or immersive.
It's an Xposed module that I use on my phone. Not sure if it works on Xposed for Lollipop, I haven't put Xposed on my tablet yet.
Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately App Settings isn't compatible with Lollipop as of yet.
Anyone know of alternative way to enable Semi immersive mode for Kodi?
Thanks
Hi
I have the Eminence theme installed on an unrooted Fire TV. The eminence skin lets you edit built-in functions of the buttons (tiles). I'm looking for a way to use on of the buttons to open the android home screen where my apps are. I can edit the button with an ActivateWindow(10001...) function but this just opens up a window in programs. I can access the apps there but would prefer the Android home screen Can anyone help?
Can't you just use a link to the Android app KTVLauncher? That will boot you to the retail Amazon menu.

Yes, we can use favorites for this.
Go to program addons - Android apps and add a favorite for kftv launcher. Then add this favorite as a button in your theme settings.

Hey guys,
is there a way to configure ambient display? Like customize the duration of screen on, the number of pulses, the sensitivity for enabling and so on?
Maybe there is an app or a xposed module?
Thank you!
So i guess there is no such app....
What Do you think, can this be handled via a normal app or via a xposed Module?
Regards

There are apps that allow similar functionality on the Play Store. Try searching Gravity screen and AC display.

Thanks for the advice. I guess they both dont use the stock ambient display.... I used at least gravity screen for a while on my nexus 4, but it is not working quite the way i expect it to work. but thanks anyways
If you are using XPosed, you can config Ambient Display with the module "Enable Ambient Display". It was developed for the Nexus 5 but works also on my Nexus 5X.

Another possibility is to modify the build.prop-file. It is also described in the above-mentioned thread.
Hi
As I hate the preinstalled android Launcher for this TV, I was wondering if it was possible to change it permanently
I just couldnt find the option to set the new launche as default.
Thanks in advance
On android tv it's not really possible, unless you enable debugging ADB and remove the default launcher with adb

I've made it to change with the app "Button Mapper: Remap your keys"
you can find it in playstore
