(Q): Use LEDs between the keys for notification?

Hi,
as some (stupid) designer at Sony Ericsson decided to make the notification LED very small AND put it on the side, I would like to know if there's ANY kind of possibility to use the 2 LEDs between the keys to work as notification indicator?
Is/will this be possible?
Thank you
Light Flow
Light Flow works on my Arc: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlite
It allows you to set the "button backlight LED" (aka the ones between the front buttons) to come on for specific notifications. It also has lots of other options for customizing your notifications (side LED colour, different vibration patterns, etc).
Thank you!
Do I need to root the Arc or does it work out of the box?
Hummm can't make this app work
Sent from my LT15a using XDA App
You will most likely need to be rooted to make this app work as it will need to change settings in your system files.
I am rooted, but didn't get a root notification when configuring Light Flow so I presume it's not needed.
It seems to be working fine for Enhanced Email, SMS, missed call notifications, etc. on my Arc.
@Cholerabob - did you set the options correctly? On mine I do NOT have 'direct mode' enabled, the accessibility service is on, make sure 'button back light control' is set to 'control' in general settings, and 'button backlight LED' is set to 'solid' for whichever notification you are testing. If you use a task killer, try excluding Light Flow.
I tried Light Flow and can't get the 2 LED's between the keys to work. The Arc has to be rooted. I just got the Arc and don't feel comfortable rooting it. Are there any other alternatives?

Disabling Flash Screen Notification

I have installed NAOSPRom on my LT26ii,
I have noticed that by every notification the whole screen flashes on and off in Grey color.
I have disabled Notifications from MORE of nAOSProm menu settings but no luck.
Please advise me how to disable it.

(sorry for my english...)

[Lenovo P2] LED configuration

Hey folks,
did anybody manage to get the LED light working with Whatsapp and so on? Everytime I get a message it just does nothing. With system apps it's different. As soon as a SMS comes in the LED lights up.
Thanks for the help.
LED notification -> Other Unread Notifications - > Enable
choose Color for it and you are done..
Will try and report back. Many thanks!
It works but it does not apply whatsapp individual led settings. You are however forced to stick to the setring you made in the system and not the app.

Themes / Apps / Mods [APP] Quick Tap App to change Ringer (Vibrate/Silent) for P6/P6P

Hey everyone,
So since Google removed the PWR+VolUp button combo to put phones into vibrate and require multiple clicks, I had previously found the suggestion to use Quick Tap with a mute app.
Since I'm personally more of a VIBRATE person (and no app exists), I created a quick and dirty app to cycle through NORMAL -> VIBRATE -> SILENT
Instructions are simple:
Install the build apk under Releases
Under Settings -> System -> Gestures -> Quick Tap to start action -> Open App, select 'Shhh"
On first use/update, it may request notification permissions (if not granted already)
Double tap back of phone to cycle through the 3 notification options (Toast notifications will also notify you of current setting)
Let me know any suggestions or bugs so I can fix it. I've only tried it on the Pixel 6 Pro running A12/A12L
Cheers!
This seems to be working exactly as you described. I am running the P6P on 12L.
Isn't simpler to tap on the bell icon above the volume slider?
a Tasker task does the trick as well....of course you need Tasker

This is a fantastic idea. Nicely done . I come from the OnePlus phones the past 5 years and kind of missing the physical toggle switch they all had. This is a good replacement.
