Bluetooth Controllers on 4.4+ - One (M7) Accessories

I know that since the release of Jellybean bluetooth controller support was broken. I found sort of a work around. Download Bluez IME from the play store and turn on Bluetooth. Make your controller discoverable and select it. It should connect but have a toast message saying it failed. Go to the settings and force close Bluez IME and your good to go.
Your results may vary with different controllers, I'm using a PS4 controller

I've been able to use my PS3 controller just fine since updating to the latest Sixaxis controller release (November 2013)

[Q] Game controllers (Logitech F710) - How to connect? USB Host cable?

After seeing Transformer Prime + Logitech F710 in action, how do we get the same from HTC One X? Tegra 3 was said to support all game controllers like PS3, XBOX360. Does it really work and how to do it so there would be no apps needed like sixaxis and no compatibility issues?
i bought a ps3 controller just for this, but as I sent my first HOX back because of backlight flickering and haven't received a new one yet I haven't been able to try it. I don't think it will work via bluetooth without something like the sixaxis app.
Cant get my ps3 controller connected with the Sixaxis app, the compatibility checker says I'm compatible, used the sixaxispairtool to change the master Bluetooth on my controller to match the phone but when trying to pair it just says no controller found.
There is a video on YouTube of it working on a HOX with stock rooted ROM but I'm using Coredroid.
EDIT
Scratch that, managed to get it working, instructions on the sixaxis devs website a a bit misleading. Makes Shodowgun so much easier
Is it possible to use the Logitech 710 with the HTC One X? If so, how does it work?

3rd party ps3 controller

Hello,
i'm having difficulty connecting my arsenal bluetooth ps3 controller to my rooted verizon galaxy nexus running cyanogenmod 10.
I got the MAC adress matching, and i even get the sixaxis controller app to confirm "client connected: 1"
but the controller never flashes 1 light and eventually disconnects.
when i try to pair under bluetooth setting it gets as far as telling me to enter a pin, but on the ps3 controller...
is there a way i can enter a pin on the controller itself?
i know the sixaxis controller app recommends sony brand controllers but i made the foolish mistake of buying a 3rd party one to save a few bucks...
i have also tried tried bluez IME settings and blueinput to no avail.
any help is appreciated, thank you!

Game Controllers on MM

Having upgraded to the latest version of the excellent MaximusHD ROM + stock kernel,
I was disappointed to discover that the Sixaxis app does not work in MM, so I cant use my PS3 controller.
So as an alternative, I tried my Wireless Xbox 360 controller, but could not get it to work.
I made sure I have a keylaout file (Vendor_045e_Product_0719.kl) and keychars file (Vendor_045e_Product_0719.kcm)for the wireless controller.
I unfortunately dont have a wired controller to test.
I did notice that there is no xpad.ko under lib/modules - is that still needed?
Does the stock kernel not support the 360 controller?
Any workarounds to get it to work?
Any input is appreciated.
For anyone interested - best solution I've found is to use ElementelX combined with "Sixaxis Enabler" app.
You will have to use the ps3 controller plugged in (no wireless), but at least you can still use it in Marshmallow.
Still no luck in getting the xbox wireless receiver to work though.

Sixaxis Compatibility with N7 2013 for FF9 use

I know that Sixaxis used to work when I got this tablet back in 2013, but now I'm trying to set it up again to use for FF9 (with PS3 controller) and I can't seem to get past the "Sixaxis Compatibility Checker" app. It tries all 4 connection types and fails on all of them (yes, I am rooted).
I've tried the PS4 controller and it connects via Bluetooth, but the button mapping is all messed up. Up/down is left/right, no buttons work, 1second delay, etc... Are there any other options to play with a controller on FF9?
Was Nexus 7 (2013) support discontinued for the Sixaxis app? Why are the Bluetooth connection methods not working?
Thanks.
I believe it is marshmallow in general. Having the same issue with my n6 after the mm update.

Pairing a Wii Remote to Android 6.0

I have been trying to pair a wii remote on my rooted Nvidia Shield Android TV for the past couple of days. I want to pair it so I can use the dolphin emulator to play wii games. Firstly, I have done this before on older devices, but it seems that being on android 6.0 there is an issue. I have tried to pair with wiimote controller and bluez ime and could not get it to sense the controllers. The Bluetooth option to add an accessory on the console shows the wii remote as available, but asks for a pin when you do it. I have tried keying "0000 and 1234" and no luck. It is not my controller, because I have tried 2 different controllers. Its not my console because I've tried to pair on my phone as well. Is there something I am missing? Or do the apps just need updating to work on Android Marshmallow firmware?

You need the Mayflash Wii Bar, thats the unique solution.
I have a "practical wired Sensor Bar w/ USB cable". Should this work? If so, how do I go about using it? Do I use a certain app?
