samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 non responsive - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Most of the time, my phone is fine. But once every couple days, it randomly freezes. The screen will be off, and I'll go to check something, but it won't come on. I know it's still on because the notification light will still be blinking. My only option to get it back on is to turn it off completely and t turn it back on. When someone tries to call, he finds ringing.but my screen gets black,no ringtones or vibrations happens.bought just 2 weeks ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Phone not waking up properly

Hi,
I update my htc one x to the jelly bean update yesterday. I have been on stock all this while and updated to the official ota. I have not installed any roms yet or unlocked the phone. Since i updated i seem to be having a strange problem. When the phone goes to sleep for prolonged periods, and i try to turn it on, the screen remains black. The light for the buttons turn on and there is light at the btm of the screen but the screen stays black. It has happened twice and the only way to solve it is to reboot the phone. i can hear messages and calls coming but the screen remain black. I am wondering is this a "feature of the phone" or is there any settings i should change? Or is there any solutions to this problem.

[Q] Screen turns off after 30 seconds during calls

Hi everyone,
I recently got Samsung galaxy Note II (N7100) and I have a weird problem -
During a phone call (incoming or outgoing) the screen blanks out after 30 seconds even if my screen timeout is set to 10 mins.
Looks like its overriding it somehow.
Tried turning off "Auto screen off", turning off SmartStay, using KeepScreenOn or AUTOMATEIT and noting seems to solve this.
Is it the default setting in N7100? is there any way to change it?
Please help... it very hard to use the phone while driving when it keeps blanking the screen in phone calls.
Will try and method...
Thanks!
I'm asking for the same.
How to change this infuriating behavior?
Found this: http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-galaxy-note/157265-screen-timeout-call.html#post1637417
So this is known issue.

[Q] Samsung official keyboard causing tab s screen to turn on when closed?

Hey all,
I have the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and the official samsung keyboard/case that matches the tablet. I have an issue where every time I close the case/keyboard and close the latch, my tablet s display turns on. I normally leave my display timeout time at 5 minutes due to what i use my tablet for (reading articles), so I dont want to turn that on. Anyone have any ideas on any settings I can change to prevent the screen from turning on when I close the tablet/keyboard case? I bought everything from Samsung to prevent this issue with any third party keyboards, so any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Make the screen turn off or the screen saver turn on?

Hello,
I finally updated my HTC One S to the Samsung S9 running version 8.0 of Android
I have found that for some reason, the phone needs to tell me the battery is charged by turning the screen on, and the screen does not turn back off again. I searched here and tried the Googles and seems like that is something Android started doing after my old phone so I cannot find a setting. It also appears via the Googles that there is no setting? Is this correct?
I would like to either make it so notifications do not turn on the screen or that the screen will turn itself back off.
I would be satisfied to have the screen saver turn on while on the charger. I have it set to after 5 minutes but it has never turned on.
If some one could help me with either or both my problems, I would greatly appreciate it. I really don't like that the screen turns on when I plug the charger in, but I can live with it if it turned off.
Thanks
EDIT I would like to add that I have all my AOD stuff turned off.

Since it has been about 6 years since I set my last phone up, I completely forgot about Developer Options.
I unlocked D O and found a setting in there to leave the screen off while charging. I think....I figured out the problem.
I can't believe I forgot about D O :silly:
I still have not figured out the screen saver but I no longer am real concerned about it. I would like to know how to turn off the notification that the battery is charged.
Anyhow, if anyone does not know how to get to the Dev Options on Oreo, it is:
Open Settings
Select System ---> About phone.
Scroll down and tap seven times on the Build number entry.
EDIT. The setting fixed the screen saver issue as well as keeping the screen off
