Hi, I have searched everywhere for the solution to my problem I even tried posting in cyanogenmod official forum but no one posted back so I'm gonna try posting my problem here
I just rooted my Arc S (LT18i) and I wanted to install cyanogen mod in it the only problem is that I can't :/
My bootloader is locked so fastboot mode in my phone isn't enabled , I don't wanna pay 20$ just to unlock it so I bought and instaled Rom Manager, I've read that I could also intall cyanogen mod through there.
When I select "Download ROM" it said that I needed to install CWM and it asked me if I wanted to install it now, I said yes and selected my phone model, then it said that my phone isn't yet supported, no problem I just needed to use x-part to download and install CWM , everything went fine in x-part and now I have CWM, then I tried going to "Download ROM" again, once again it says that I need to install CWM, I just said that I installed it manualy it accepts it and Cyanogen wasn't on the list .. I don't know why.
I have the lincensed version and I do have Advanced mode on.
Can someone please help me, I realy wan't to install cyanogen mod in my phone.
Thanks for reading

As you need to flash the CM kernel you need to unlock the boot loader.
Rom Manager does not support Xperia.
Pvy.
Open Xperia Arc development Section find unlock bootloader thread ,and start learning HOW TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER, its really easy actually

You would still need to unlock your bootloader. See the guides and stickys, as no boot loader is unlockable.

And thanks for all your replys
I'm sorry for reviving the post but looks like my phone is unlockable..
Jinx said that it had some kind of new security in it, well I'll just have to live with ICS

Hello guys! I have a new XSL phone already rooted with .45 FW.
The problem is i cant install CWM on it. My phone is unlocked. I've used ROM manager and XParts but it said its not supported. Tried some CWM installer via PC but to no avail, it said its install but no blue led light when i restart the phone.
I've checked with the installation of kernel with CWM, but they need to be installed via Recovery? what is this recovery?
I really want to read about XSL, unfortunately there is currently no thread yet for this?
hoping someone with XSL can help me.

flash this kernel in fastboot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729280&highlight=advanced+stock+kernel
You should have root and cwm installed automatically.

Hi Everybody !
I have sony xperia SL (LT26ii) !
Which recovery tool may be suitable for this handset? I think TWRP is more versatile and user friendly than CWM? And I just want to install TWRP without unlocking bootloader? Is it posible?
