Does the fact that Samsung released this mean anything? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Waiting for the kitkat update is driving me nuts.
Quick question, does that fact that Samsung released the open source for kitkat already for our phones mean anything?

Its actually a big trick. Anon hacked sammy and posted that crap. They are mad at samsung for using foxconn to produce theyre displays. Theres been a couple articles about it....lemme see if I can find a link for ya. Honestly I would say we are atleast a month out

Built in flashlight?

I got my galaxy s2 a week ago. Last night I was playing around with it to see what else I could I with it. Out of nowhere I stumbled upon a flashlight application. I had not installed one so I did not know where it came from. I quit the application and once I tried to find it again I couldn't. It didn't even show on my recent applications. So is there a built in flashlight in the galaxy s2?

Not that I know of. Are you running stock or on a rom?
Stock, I haven't rooted it yet.

Not really sure what to tell ya
You buy it new or used? I haven't come across a built in one. Was kinda surprised to as all my phones with a flash have had stock flashlights

Did you have a flashlight app on one of your previous android devices, market does restore all your apps even those from other apps upon putting in google credentials.
I guess someone must have messed with it at the store, or it might be a secret feature, like the well known screen capture

Typos get us all worked up, especially when it comes to updates on our phones. Also, nobody is running JB.2 on the GS3 yet.
Keep calm and flash on...
I just put this to see if someone is running 4.2 because on the website show it like that. Anybody can go and verified.

Xda Premium App Update Problems

I know this doesn't necessarily pertain to the Note 2 but is anybody experiencing problems with the new update? I had to uninstall it and go back to the regular xda app.

Yes me also on the note 2

Let me try the app again... Maybe I was doing something wrong...

I know I don't have the same phone, (s3) but I've been having problems with the update, where hitting back in threads would close the app.

Thank God for Ti.
And disconnected it from play store.

Well like it says on the play store, for best results clear app data. Seems fine to me.

No problems here

Thanks for the feedback guys... Yeah I went back to the regular xda app... I don't like the new update...it kept closing out of the app when I press the back button and the threads that I subscribed to shows up weird. Maybe I will switch back later on. But for right now... This will do.

Android L

Is there anyway for someone to port over android L from the nexus 5?
Sent from my GT-I9505G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I'm pretty sure there are some Developers trying to. I would like to have it on my s4 too
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
As of right now that would probably prove difficult as there hasn't been a developer leak from Samsung with it yet. All the drivers for the hardware probably would not be compatible.
I doubt you would see one until there is an international one to work from.

Why don't you just wait? The GS4 is a also a GPE device. We'll have it soon enough instead of requestion devs to waste time porting something over that will come officially in a few months.

I saw this on another site. Doesn't mean Sprint will roll it out but there is a chance. I am hoping we get it.

Yeah I guess you never know at this point but it would probably be something someone could port over maybe. We'll see.

Sprint has actually been good releasing whatever updates Samsung releases for their international models to their models so I see it happening hopefully. Like when my S2 got 4.1.2, I think we were the only US branded galaxy to get it

Heck no I wish! Just patches and HD voice icon on call screen. For some reason they refuse to update our kernel and it's annoying me. Especially when they updated the S3 with the KK ota. I'm sure our kernel is the culprit of that stupid mdm wakelock.
