Hi,
I've been browsing for a portable charger that's worth the price, and I think I might have found the one.
Packed with 10000 mAH, the EasyAcc charger coming in at $26.99 is an incredible deal.
Does anyone have any experience with this charger? How is it compared to the reputable Anker portable chargers? What's the efficiency level?
http://www.amazon.com/EasyAcc®-Bril...7501&sr=8-6&keywords=easyacc+portable+charger
Thanks for your help. :highfive:
It may be rated at 10000mah but who knows what the actual ratings are. I've taken apart an anker charger and the batteries they had actually added up to their advertised ratings.
Then there is also the question of how long it will work for, I know anker has a warranty that is close to 1 year that will cover stuff like reduced battery life etc..

Thank you for you input.
See, that's the thing. The price is incredible, but I'm not so sure if it'll last as long as Anker's chargers.

That price isn't that incredible. Here's a link to a RAVPower 8400mAh pack. They also make a 14000 for ten bucks more. I have owned there 8400 pack for about 4 months now and can vouch for it. Them and Anker is who I would stick with.

That one seems a bit too big to fit in the pocket comfortably. I personally have this one and it's pretty good (http://www.amazon.com/5600mAh-Porta...qid=1393834261&sr=8-13&keywords=anker+charger)
From experience, there is no shortcut to buying lithium batteries for a cheaper price and still getting the average ratings for it's price. You really get what you pay for with lithium batteries, unless you have a discount.
This thread should really be in accessories, not Q&A...

i have 8400 mah rawpower really good
I have one 5000mAh from EasyAcc (with fast charge and a micro usb cable built in).
It does have about the same capacity as advertised. Their service was pretty good too.

So best buy sells a 1750mah battery for $50. Is it worth the price and would it be that big of an upgrade over stock?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
At $50 you might as well get the seidio 3500 from amazon. I also advise you to use an external wall charger if you plan on using any other battery besides the htc stock.
There are cheap batteries all over eBay. I bought two 1500mah batteries with a wall charger for $10 and two 3000mah batts with two battery covers for $20.

Where?
I wouldn't want to buy for an untrusted seller by accident.
Thanks
They are literally ALL OVER ebay, and they are pretty much all the same. Just look at the seller rating and feedback. If they have a high rating and mostly positive feedback, youre safe. Plus, it's not that big of a risk, you're only talking $10-20.
These are the 1500 mah batts + charger I ordered
And these are the 3000 mah batts
I can either get a replacement battery, 2 of them + a charger for $25. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Anker-1900mA...ccessories&hash=item4ab3e5b7e8#ht_2690wt_1252
Or an external very portable battery 2600mAh for $25
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Anker-Colorf...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item7916fc4474
Or external battery (not as portable) 3600mAh for $25.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Anker-Extern...ccessories&hash=item4cfeea48ef#ht_6381wt_1361
All the same price. I'm thinking of getting the colorful anker battery. I could charge the phone while both are in my pocket. Since it's more than one charge, I don't have to worry since I can easily charge the battery again.
Or I can get a single Anker battery for $18.

What do you guys think?
I recommend the 2 Anker batteries with charger because that's what I have and the batteries last the same or longer than stock. Also I always have a extra battery In my pocket and a extra at home.

I can't use the charger as an external battery, can I? Like plug my phone into the charger via USB with the battery in the charger, and charge without AC connection?
@OP, any specific reason to not include the Samsung 2000mah battery+cover in that list? Because that is certainly what I would recommend.

I agree 100%. It's the battery they should have included as standard, but i'd reckon the marketing department wanted the lesser capacity battery so they could say how thin the phone is.
Any way, i got a couple of generic batteries off ebay, and my god they were awful to use. Maybe it was my experience, but the phone would get so warm using them and they would drain in less time than the genuine battery even though they were the same capacity.
Maybe it's just my experience, but i'd go genuine from now on based on what happened to me.
Hearing a lot of positive feedback for the anker battery... Might try it myself...
get the anker or that first link,i brought me another samsung battery and a wall charger and its great, use a battery a day and charge the flat one when you swap them over, its worth it,glad i did it.

i am new here, just find anker astro3 10000mah external battery it looks amazing and only $49.99
could anyone give some reviews?
much thanks
I use the Samsung 2000 mah battery and I also have a 1900 mah Anker as a spare in my pocket.
I just carry a small piece of cardboard with the Anker battery so it can sit tightly in the extended 2000 mah case
Both batteries are fine but I prefer the Samsung one.
I have two anker batteries that I rotate with stock battery. I really like having an external charger and being able to charge batteries indepenantly. Very impressed with the anker brand and the affordable price. Just my 2c

WOW,10000mAh huge capacity
Anker
Recommend anker, 1 year of user.
The Amazon reviews of the Astro3 external USB backup battery are impressive. Reports of people charging a phone and an iPad2 (a greedy device if ever there was one), charging two devices while watching video on one, etc. Very tempting for the price, it sounds like just the thing for a cross-country plane flight.
Really interested in personal reports here....
i am rocking this anker. charges almost all my devices, not just my phone. if anyone buys it of amazon please pm me so i can send anker referrals
Are the chinese oem batteries truly oem?

This.
If that is not an option, I would go for the two Anker plus charger
I'm tempted to finally pickup the Anker 10000. Can anyone tell me if it can be CHARGED via USB? or can it only be charged from a wall?
Hi guys,
I'm looking for a not too expansive power bank with >4000mAh battery for travels (USB [email protected] output).
Any recommendations ?
Thanks
Try looking up for Yoobao battery banks. I've had a couple of these, a 6000mAh one cost me about 40$ or so the last time I bought it which is last year.
AFAIK prices fluctuate pretty badly based on which seller it comes from, so look out for cheaper deals.
I think they're pretty good and they are way cheaper than the more "established" brands.
I have an anker astro 3 10000 mah power bank for myself. It works great! Two USB outputs, each one supplying 2 amps. I think anker is the best deal. Its like 60 bucks. And has good ratings on amazon. Alot of the other power banks don't work as advertised but this anker one does well.
Now I don't think it has exactly 10000 mah, but it is probably about 8000. I could probably do a test to see how many charges I can get with the sgs3.
http://www.amazon.com/10000mAh-Exte...F8&qid=1341939937&sr=1-1&keywords=anker+10000
I'll also see if I can take some pics of its size. Its not too big. But that's just my opinion so I'll see what I can do

I have good experience with Anker products but I can't buy from Amazon and can't find it anywhere else. I'm still looking.. I guess that if i'll not find another store (with international shipping) I'll go for the Yoobao...
Thank
PS
AliExpress having a 50% off sale from the 16th till the 21st.
Do you think it safe to buy the Yoobao from there ?
Is the Yoobao batteries trustworthy? Do they actually have the mAH posted?
Hello ,
I'm just about to buy Anker 2nd generation Astro2 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DMWV3EU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A294P4X9EWVXLJ
my question is : is there something else I should consider buying instead?
I will mainly use it for a tablet charging (the tablet has 8000 mah battery)
it must be from amazon and sold (or fulfilled ) by amazon because I need to ship it to an Amazon locker in NYC.
Thank you very much for you advises,

Your other choices are Lepow U-Stone 12000 mAh (they just dropped the price significantly down to $39.99) or NewTrent iCarrier 12000 mAh (price is down to $37.95) or RAVPower Knighrider 14000 mAh ($39.99). All are reputable companies with a good quality control and a decent warranty. RAVPower design is an older one, more generic. ICarrier has been around for awhile as well. U-Stone stands out, but I'm not sure how big it is. All 3 seems to be fulfilled by Amazon, so hopefully they will deliver to NYC locker.

I must say thank you for the detailed answer , unfortunately saw it too late (stupid gmail folders) so I've already ordered and I can't change it now since I can't lose time (my friend's wife is only going to be in NYC for 1 week and I don't want to take the risk in delays)
anyway , that Lepow looks good!
Thanks again

hi there ,
eventually I ended up buying the anker 2nd Gen Astro2 9000mAh.
I'm going to return it and buy other.
is your answer still valid for these days or is there something new I should consider?
also , isn't 12000-14000mah is too much for my needs? I also do care ( a little) about weight...
Thanks again for your help

Problem Solved. I've had the Jackery 6000mAh charger in my bag for two years without a problem. Charges ipads and devices rapidly and is perfect if you are not wanting to be that guy sitting on the floor next to the outlet . So this new one: See the cords that have micro usb and lightning (iOS) connectors.. Well that solves the issue of carrying a battery and an cord? Leave that cord at home, you don't need it. How cool is it to be on the plane, and just pull this out without having to negotiate that 6 foot white cord? Its pretty slick and worth the purchase. Very reliable and two years later (on my last model) no drop off in performance.

Anker.
*Not affiliated, because someone asked about a cable in another thread.
Sure, there a other label, but a Powerbank with such volume and rather low price wouldn't come in my home.
Amazon reviews, btw, are not that reliable, aside from this.
Look tech forums up.Unfortunately can I not recommend other than in my native language.

1. Portability
2. Capacity
3. Weight
4. Easy to carry
5. Fast Charging
Here is a list of the best power banks under 1500 where you can grab the perfect portable power bank for you.
I am using OnePlus 10,000 mAh Power Bank and really satisfied with the experience

I rarely ever use power banks, but as far as I am concerned, brand doesn't matter at all.
I had a cheepo power bank with no name a while back and it was the best power bank I ever had.
Hey,
Check out Redmi Power Banks. They are so good in sound quality and battery life.
There are two variants available : 10,000 mAh, 20,000 mAh
Check them out, surely you will like it
RAV Power is my power bank of choice. Takes a while for a full charge but invaluable on a long trip.
