First of all, sorry if there's a thread like this, but I haven't found one..
So, I've had cm11 on my maguro for a while and all of a sudden, few days ago, it started restarting itself over and over and over again. When it boots up, it works for 30 secs and then reboots again. I tried flashing factory image (couple of times), it said "OKAY!" but when I turned the device on, nothing actually happened, still cm11, and all of my data is still there. I tried "Nexus Root Toolkit" also, nothing...
HELP. PLEASE! :crying:
How did u flashed factory images? And did u flashed userdata.img as well?

I'd recommend making a backup (just to be safe), and then wiping and flashing a stable version of Cyanogenmod (e.g. 10.1.3). Even if you don't want to stick with an older version of Cyanogenmod, if it works you'll know it's a software issue, not a hardware issue.
I may also boot to bootloader (vol up + vol down + power) and see if you're still unlocked. You should see the "LOCK STATE - UNLOCKED" in red in the very last line on the screen if you are.
Fried EMMC. Sorry tot hear man..

My Galaxy \Nexus won't boot....Perpetual flash screen
I got a notice of several (around 16) apps with updates this afternoon. They were very slow to update (I think the AT&T bandwidth was horrible) My phone rebooted -- which it has about 5-6 times in the past two weeks since I got it.
On immediate reboot, I was getting System UI stopped, report ?
After about 2-3 reboots like that, I am now on the tiled flash screen after the Google intro after reboot.
I've removed the battery several times. I've tried with and without the SIM card. I've tried with a power connector connected...nothing.
This has been going on for over an hour.
I'm very frustrated.
I had the same issue, i have relocked the boot loader and I'm going to take it back tomorrow for an exchange. I was getting to the google logo and then it just reboots back to the google logo even time. I tried a nandroid restore, didn't work, i tried to wipe every thing it still wouldn't boot. Now it just stays with the google logo on screen.
I also had the System UI stopped a lot around 8 times a day.
Hmmmm
OK guys so I started a new thread because the situation has changed with my problems. OK so I originally posted a thread about the accelerometer, I thought maybe restoring to stock might fix it. So I flashed the zv7 on the irc with the lgnpst on the irc. And every time its the same problem, the phone hangs at the 4glte section of the stock boot animation. Also i cannot get into the boot loader. I can still get into download mode though. Any ideas?

Not sure if it's the same issue or not, but it sounds fairly close. When I powered off the LG logo would show with screen grayed not black as a power out should be.
Try this. Unplug the phone and hit the power button until the phone goes black, not gray, black, hold the power button for say a count of 40 or longer. This should stop the LG logo cycling. leave the phone alone for about twenty minutes. Do not plug it in to a power sources as that will start the cycling again.
After about twenty minutes hit the power button once.
I'm not saying this will resolve your issue, but I had the issue you're describing, and tried everything I could think of to get into recovery. Like you I was able to get into download mode, which made me certain I should be able to get into recovery with the right set of button pushes. Tried it for hours before resigning myself to LGNPST, when I did the above though it booted right up with no problem.
Discovered completely by accident. I was in the process of starting the LGNPST process receiving some help on IRC when I I hit the power button after the delay off and it all worked out. Didn't have to go through the process. The help I got was the twenty minute delay. The folks over on IRC deserve a lot of credit for the help they give btw.
The problem started after I flashed the ZVB rooted rom zip. Since then If I try to power down while it's plugged in, or not, the same thing happens. Rebooting is not problematic, but powering down is. It's not a big deal now though since the fix is easy enough for me.
Give it a try can't hurt.
same issues...
I had same issues, I flashed back to original root back from which i started from, then flashed the stock rooted zip, then the radio update, even though ur told to do the opposite way, the reason i did was cause the radio update flashes the new bootloader, just make sure after u flash the radio update wipe the cache and dalvick casche also. I did that and it booted right away,
Hi, guys!
This is nearly my first time here reporting a problem, but I'm really stuck and I'm pretty sure that you'll be able to help me.
I have a GSM Galaxy Nexus i9250 which was on Stock Rom without Root (even though it was rooted and back to normal afterwards). Last night I left my phone plugged to the wall, charging. Let me tell you that the phone was on, too. The following day (I mean, this morning) when I went to pick up the cellphone, I found that it was in an infinite bootloop. Google logo, X logo, Google logo, X logo... And so on.
The first thing I thought about, was changing the battery, considering the fact that I had been using the extended one. Despite from that, It didn't work.
After that, my second idea was to flash the factory image again, but the issue wasn't solved. At first, I was able to actually see my phone working on (I was ver close to choose the language!) but the reboot came up again.
Last but not least, my last chance was to try to solve the problem via Recovery Mode. When I tried to go down that road, a tiny Android appeared on my screen, with its chest opened and a red triangle over him.
I ran out of ideas, but surely you'll have come great tips or another magic trick regarding this problem.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hey, thanks for your help!
Unfortunately, that didn't do the trick... =/
Whenever I try to wipe cache, the process begins and the phone resets again... And again... And again.
Could it be a HW issue?
Thanks!
Hello, I have the same problem, which appeared about week ago. I was going sleep when my phone froze. I plugged charger then (I was too tired to wait) and next morning my phone was in infinite loop. After reflashing stock firmware all was good but only for a while... When I replaced all the content I had, bootloops appeared sometimes ending infinite and sometimes just only 1 or 2. By now I don't know what to do. Firstly I thought that it was maybe because of root access for some crappy app, but even without root it still happens. I even tried not to restore backup from Play Store, but with no luck.
Is there any way to see some log and discover what is causing trouble?
Any help is really needed!
Sideload .zip if youre unlocked or do a factory reset

Hi
If you turn on usb debugging in the developer options, you can then do adb logcat while it's bootlooping.
That will at least show you what's failing. Also adb shell dmesg gives you the kernel messages.
Logcat is pretty easy to follow once you get over the information overload you will see it looping after a short while
Edit: obviously if it's bootlooping you can't get into developer option. You can access adb via recovery. You should be able to "adb shell cat /proc/last_kmesg" . Doing that after failed boot attempt will give you the kernel output from the last boot. Theres ways to enable debugging for booting from recovery I'll double check it when I get in
Hope that helps a little

Last night my phone was lagging, but I didn't think anything of it. This morning, it had turned itself off. I turned it on, it stayed on for about 5 seconds, then made a weird noise and rebooted. It does the same thing on reboot and keeps looping.
I booted into recovery without a problem, wiped everything, flashed an old rom, and rebooted. It turns on as if it is still running the old rom and does the same noise/reboot thing. I tried factory resetting with Odin, but it keeps failing. I tried pushing files to the phone through the Android Toolkit, but that's not working, either.
Any ideas? I have no idea what happened or why it's acting as if it's read-only.
GSM Nexus; was running CM11 Snapshot 6.
Just a shot in the dark, is the micro USB port clean? Maybe it's shorting out.

Im having the same problem any ideas how t fix it guys ?
Hey everyone, this isn't a lollipop brick. Its a 4.4.4 brick. I have been running PAC ROM for a few months. Got a wild hair to use 4.4.3 then upgraded to 4.4.4. Started using my iPad for a few months and didn't touch my nexus. Turn it on one day remembering I downloaded the 4.4.4. Flashed and reboot. Booted into it from the multirom menu. Started using it for a few min then screen goes black. Try to power on and it just goes to the Google screen with the unlock on it. Tried to boot into recovery and it froze. Put it down for a couple weeks. Charge it, turn it on l. Hey! It boots. Boot into PAC and get to the unlock screen. Try to put my pin in and it freezes. Turned it off. Haven't touched it in a few days. The screen has been replaced if that helps at all.
Anyone else run into this?
