Hi,
Anyone know how to fix random rebooting on the SGN3? I have to remove the MicroSD just to get the system to stop then I re-insert it and everything works fine again. This happens maybe every one to 3 days. Phone gets warm fast as well but after it reboots everything is golden.
Also when on wifi calling I get warnings that my connection could be dropped and once it did. The phone says my wifi is unstable but my mac and SGN8 don't have that issue and stay connected. Is these issues that a future update can fix or is this model defective and I need a replacement?
Thanks in advance.

I'm really hoping this isn't a hardware issue as I would dread having to go get my EVO replaced and restore everything to how i have it, but I'm having an odd problem.
WiFi randomly stops working after a reboot sometimes. I turn it on, it scans for about 4-5 seconds, says "Unable to scan for networks" and then WiFi turns off. The only way I can solve it is by flashing back to flipz' stock rooted ROM. Reboots won't solve it, battery pulls won't solve it, turning on and off different networks won't solve it, nothing. Has anybody else had this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks guys.
did you update your firmware/software? the sprint rep had be update EVERYTHING before activating my phone.
yep. problem still occurs
After 2 days of testing I've narrowed it down to being either a setting or a corrupted system file from a backup. Hopefully it won't show up anymore.
I installed android VaniljEclair RLS11 build to my SD card on my tilt and it was working great, however recently it keeps going into airplane mode and I can't get any reception despite the fact that if i revert back to windows mobile i can get reception to my ATT carrier. Anyone know how to fix this issue? It seems like when i tried to change my caller ID settings from the carrier, it caused this problem. Now i can't even receive or make a call. Please help!!!!
Oh and i keep pressing airplane mode to get out and it keeps activating it again. Dunno wth is going on.....
I just had the same problem yesterday. I just rebooted with the same rom and it fixed itself. What Radio are you using?
yeah i did multiple reboots and it didn't help however today randomly its working again. sucks not to have a working phone for a few days.
I am on my second International HTC one X and both devices would lose the carrier signal quit often... I would either go to airplane mode, or turn the network off and on and it would grab it again. Sometimes it would be good for the day and other times, I would have to do it a few times....
I wanted to think it was my carrier having issues (MTS in Winnipeg MB Canada)... however, this has never happened on my many other devices. Now I wake up today and turn on the mobile data, after awhile... it does not connect, under settings it says disconnected because service is unavailable. I tried reboots, restart, airplane mode, checking apn settings.... on my last reboot, it says No signal/emergency calls only.
So now I am fearing a hardware issue (but I find it odd it happens on both my one xs).
I love this device and aside from this potentially huge issue.... I have no complaints, so I will ask here and see if you guys have any solid input.. before I contact htc!
I also popped my sim in and out, as of right now...
Thx in advance.
**update: it almost seems like putting wifi on, knocks out my carrier signal.... after an hour of doing the above things, I turned off wifi, went to airplane mode and now my signal and data is there (it makes no sense) and it is quite a hassle
The weirder part is, it seems to only be in the morning.... once I am up and running, I do not seem to have many issues through out the day, but If I put wifi on long enough... It goes to no signal/eventually....
If I do not put on wifi, it either does not drop.... or I am not noticing.
I've just begun having network problems but I'm not sure it's related to your situation. I'm in Australia on the Optus network.
It happened suddenly yesterday. Service completely cuts out for extended periods. It will occasionally come back on for a short while (long enough to download all my sms) but will then cut out again. When the signal does briefly come back in, the signal strength is decent: it's an all-or-nothing proposition.
Did you manage to resolve your situation? Would be interested to know what resolved it for you.
I've had this phone since early April when it was released here and the is the first issue I've had with it. I haven't done anything new to my phone in the past week so I'm finding this strange. I'm running Leedroid 4.0.0 but I've had that installed for weeks without issue. I'm worried it could be a hardware issue.
I'm going to try reflashing it tonight to see if it's a software issue.
Hi,
I've been reading the other shutdown issue with interest from the start but I think that my particular issue is different and I'd like to know whether anyone else has my exact problem.
I'm using the o2 UK 16GB version 10A/234 and this is the problem:
When I reboot the phone and it gets to the lockscreen, if the network status is "disabled" on the lockscreen and I swipe to open, the phone shutsdown and can't be started again until I remove the battery.
If I wait for a couple of seconds when the lockscreen comes up, there is a little lag but the phone works as normal.
I can replicate this issue over and over again, so it is not a random occurrence AND this is the second handset that I have had where this exact problem is present.
Does anyone else have this issue?

I'm facing the same issue. Is your device rooted?
At first every (re)boot without being connected via usb to a charger or a computer would result in a shutdown shortly after I enter my pin. After a day of usage I cannot reproduce it anymore, although it still happens from time to time, for example yesterday when I tried to send a text while having very bad to no reception. When it happens I also have to remove the battery or hook it up to a charger, otherwise the buttons/screen would not respond..
I'm thinking there is a (firmware) problem with the chipset since it always happens when my phone is trying/strugling to connect to the mobile network. I installed an app which constantly writes logs to my sd, hopefully that will give me more information about what's causing the problem..
Are you also having bad reception when the device shuts down? My previous device (iPhone 5s) had normal reception in my house, incl. a stable 3G connection, always 2-3 bars of 5. The LG G3 is constantly strugling with the connection to the network and often switches to "emergency calls only"..

This happens rooted non-rooted, stock (no added apps) and always whilst connecting to phone network. Are you on same variant as me and if you leave it for a moment before putting in your pin does it then work ok?. I'm trying to get o2 to change my handset for another model (m8) but they just want to fix my one.

Yes I'm on the same variant. Still running the 10A firmware.
Sometimes it works, but I will do some more test this evening after work and see if I can reproduce it every time and hopefully get some usable logging too.
I think this is fixed in the 10f firmware update that I installed yesterday. I haven't had a shutdown since :victory:

i was facing almost same issue except my phone crashed and don't want to boot up, haven't edited anything just started bluetooth. sometimes it start sometimes it doesn't
now it doesn't want to boot at all even charge screen gets stuck
Hello everyone.
So I recently got an S4 Mini (GT-I9195) and the carrier in my country didn't have android 4.4.2 availible so I installed it myself via Odin and also rooted the phone after that. The phone is working normally except for a few issues that annoy me a bit. Every time i try to call someone or when i'm receiving a call i get a popup saying systemui has stopped so i have to press ok and wait a few seconds until it's back to normal. This also happens when i plug in my earphones. Also, another problem is that my WiFi won't connect automatically after turning off the phone once or after turning on the WiFi hotspot. So far i didn't try any solutions and i don't really want to do a factory reset right now as i have a lot of important data on my phone so I'd rather live with this problem for a little until newer CM builds come around if i can't fix this without deleting my data.
Thanks.
