Lets come to the main topic without wasting any time.
This is the guide which i have followed to make port of evo x4's stock framework to AOSP framework of PureKAT rom series.
STEPS.....
#
Decompile the two framework
One which you using now and one which you want to port.
#
Give your framework folder name as BASE. And your port framework as PORT.
#
Enter to res/values/
#
Copy styles.xml to your BASE framework in res/values folder.
#
Do the same thing with other files in values folder except public.xml
#
You need to even copy the drawables from drawable folders from PORT to BASE.
#
Compile your framework.
#
Check for the errors in apktool or any alternative and fix them one by one.
#
And hence your framework is complete.
Click to collapse
«»«««»««»«««»Note.««««»»««««»»»
#
The frameworks should (Both PORT and BASE should be of same android version.
You may need to copy layouts as they are needed for some styles(if available).

Yes I'm trying 2 different ways
It will be a very nice rom, pro . My friend has a X10 with MIUI rom, and it looks very amazing I love it. Keep moving
first off why not make it based om cm9 because then it only needs theming and framework patch
and i will say from source is best way
because those apks doesnt has any sense

those apks needs modded framework etc to run

Yes I know. There is a thread on it but links to download are not up as you will have to wait for it to be released. But in the meanwhile I'll do what I can Now and then include some of the things in the Ace miui Rom. I still need devs! So we can work out the kinks.

Wow, cool
I've downloaded the PatchROM inside my linux partition, but i don't know what should i do after that. :
Do we have to resize all the apps to MDPI?
If the answer is yes, i want to ask something. So if the MIUI Official Team updates their ROM, do we have to re-resize the apps each time they update the ROM again in order to make this work for Gio?
I mean, like this scheme :
1. Resize apps->port to gio
2. When MIUI update their ROM, resize the latest apps again -> port to gio
3. When MIUI update their ROM again, resize the latest apps again -> port to gio.
Does the scheme is like that? Or we just have only resize for the first time only?
Sorry if my question can't be understand.
I saw port MIUI for x8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511541
now we can port it
If miui has been portet to ace, made it for gio is simple. Just little modify build.prop, and change some libs

[q] how to make custom rom?

hi to all
i like to make custom rom from gio's stock one, what shoud i do.
download a stockbased rom. and open IN winrar then you see 3 folders meta-inf system and another one but first you need system open that one and you see apps media data framework ect if you go to apps you can replace/delete apps. and in media you can change bootanimation and sounds (ringtone notifications that sounds) in the frameworks folder theres a framework-res.apk in that app you can change ui and theme stuff also in system/app folder theres a system-ui app that your status bar which you can theme both in Out kitchen (search in google)
Maybe dumb question where can I obtain a stock rom?

I tried your 24 dpi mod for 3.6.7 and it broke location services for the Russian MIUI port here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2313073
According to the OP any navbar mods for the "unofficial official" 3.6.7 build would screw up the fix he made to get location services stable.
I was wondering if you would possibly make a 24 dpi mod flashable zip with my framework-res?
I tried decompiling and recompiling with apktool last night and everything I tried would hang at the bootscreen.
I understand if you don't have the time to make a custom one for me, so if anything I'm willing to try making my own again if you could perhaps clue me in to what I might have done wrong?
Anyway, here's my framework-res attached.
Thanks!

Try this one and report back please.
Anyway im not understanding why you use a nexus 4 port from galaxy nexus when there is already a "true" nexus4 multilanguage build available ?!
There were certain things that just didn't work right, even after fiddling with it, such as Google sync in the gallery and contacts.
Also, I had issues with my exchange account on the "official" build and I rely on that for work.
Thanks for the framework-res, I'll report back!
Edit: It works great, thanks a lot.

@sebsch1991, all credit for this goes to you. If you have any objections to me posting this, I'll take it down.
I was able to get my apktool situation worked out by downloading the version someone linked in the GNex thread... so I whipped this up for myself today when I updated to v3.6.13.
It is the 36dpi version for 3.6.13.
Again, all thanks/credit goes to the OP as I'm using his zip... all I did was modify the framework-res for 3.6.13.

[Q] How to build rom for Galaxy W i8150?

Hello everybody!
I decided to start building my own roms...but i need your help! I read around what i need for (dsixda's kitchen, cygwin and other tools).
I want specifically know:
1) How to compile 4.4.2 from source for our device (all tutorial i saw are just for nexus or high band devices...maybe i have to make a port of this rom [for example, the 4.4.2 for hammerhead nexus 5]? if yes, how to?)
2) Want to know how the great sir arco68 do what he do: does he makes port from cyangogenmod for devices that cyanogenmod teams offically support (like nexus5)? if not, how he provide us all that great roms?
3) How to add some extra features on my own rom (like HALO)
4) How to manage features and roms for our devices specifically
So, whoever will help me, please provide me all tutorial that you will find and/or tell me the differences that I have to pay attention for working on our galaxy wonder!
I know that's a huge question, so i will thank you everybody just for trying to answer me good!
@arsradu , @Adi Aisiteru Reborn, @Madridii and @hadidjapri , you all are the best rom maker / modder for our device (don't think arco68 will be interested in something like this!). Please, if you don't mind, share your knowledge :good: :highfive:
