Hello, I could not install anything, you can only enter TWRP, and have nothing in memory, as can be done to install a rom Stock?

As far as I know .tot.files are only available for at&t models.
For other g-pro models, there are no freely available flashtools.
"lg support tool" (with the .kdz.loader "uptest.exe") seems only to be safe with a locked bootloader on the phone.
Would be nice to make sure g-pro owners get to know that, before they have costly experiences with their phones.

what is going on here?
amilio just told us he isn`t able to flash!
already starting this thread with the misleading information!
this really gets down here to pure spamming!
why are you doing this???
nevertheless trying to give an answer:
TWRP has traditionally among its advanced tab features some sort of "adb" support.
on my other older android phone i could easily push zip files from pc to the phone.
This might be a way to go to get something to the phone that boots up or is close enough to stock firmware to be flashable with lg-support-tool

hello
thank you all, but I could not solve the problem, low battery error, and only enters TWPR, and I tried installing the CM, and error, which can not do.
thanks

cant you enter download mode? can you open your phone? maybe your file is broken. tried testing the archives using 7-zip it should not have any errors. if there is a single error , redownload it. that's what i when i flash g2 v5. i always get error status 1 but i fix it by redownloading and test if it has no errors in 7-zip. hope this helps

Before I created this thread here, I had already tried everything you have mentioned in your original post instructions. The instructions you provided are the first things I tried when I was troubleshooting and everyone should have already tried doing the obvious already. The problem most of us are facing, goes well beyond these instructions. I think it has something to do with missing boot files or permissions that were only exposed after the unlocking process using a specific released version of freegee.
I have managed to use LG Flash Tools now, even after being affected. I would not advise trying this though, as it was an accident for me. I had the back cover off while flashing a custom rom with CWM. After the rom file was installed, I rebooted my phone from CWM. As the phone was rebooting (was on the rom boot animation) the battery fell out. After I put the battery back in the phone would load to the rom boot animation, but it would freeze on this screen and then reboot and do the same thing over and over (bootloop to animation) - I then tried to factory reset and flash the rom again, with the same thing happening again) - I then went in to restore my phone using a backup through CWM. After the restoration, then phone would still hang at boot animation and then bootloop. I retried restoring and flashing multiple roms and re root the phone with a saved zip file on my phone. None of this was working. I decided to try to use LG Flast Tools again, only this time it actually passed the low battery warning. The funny thing is, I have tried thousands of times even at 100% battery level and lower (when there was nothing wrong with my phone at all) and it has never worked. This time it did (even though I had 66% battery) and still works now, as I just tried it again.

Thank you!!

Backup image e988

Guys,
Anybody has a CWM backup for e988? Seems like I'm on "soft-brick" mode right now
Help much apreciated.
Thanks a bunch.
Sincerely,
Jonathan
You can use this method to download LG original ROM -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44354300&postcount=1
Before you do it, read the instructions carefully (although from my experience even if it will flash your device, it doesn't wipe your data, but you'll have to do root again and reflash the CWM recovery).
Alrite --- let me try.
Once again thank you so much for your help.
I will share the result right after ...
Sincerely,
Jonathan
Liam,
no luck --- I can not even find the usb driver (I can not find my hardware model)
You don't need your HW model the tool should find your IMEI by itself.
Try this -
1. Download the LGMobile Support Tool from here (under Software Update & Drivers) and install it.
2. Open LGMobile Support Tool and choose "Install USB Driver.
3. Press volume up+down and then (still pressing the keys) connect the USB cable.
4. LGMobile Support Tool should see your device.
5. Go to the next step in the instructions I linked before.
If it doesn't work. Try to find your ROM here, and flash it using one of the tutorials on the forum.
Good luck
Hi again Liam,
still no luck with the USB driver --> so I'm downloading the ROM now (it will take quiet some time for that). I will let you know the result as soon as I completed the download. It's late already here so I will just let the download process run over night and continue to flash tomorrow.
Once again thank yo so much for your help Liam.
Sincerely,
Jonathan
Liam,
I finally able to run the LG Mobile Support tool (somehow I have to try it several times before I finally succeed). Failed to get the ROM though, said I already have the latest ROM. So I'm back to downloading the ROM from http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=25 ...

There are 3 ways I know to get the original lg rom (image).
1. Through the instructions I gave earlier.
2. Through the web site I linked in my previous post.
3. Calculating the the direct url to the image file on LGs servers (you have to google about it).
Liam,
I tried ran freegee again to test whether the problem persists --> and yes it is. Now I'm back to my soft-brick condition but strange that the same method (using LG Mobile Support Tool) now I failed to store the factory image. The message says that the battery level is low and upgrade is unavailable. I check my battery level is using the ADB command and it says that my battery is at 100%.
Do you know what I can do this time to fix my problem?
Thanks again,
Jonathan
Sorry I didn't come across this problem, try to do a search in the forum (you can try to search in LG Optimus G without the "Pro" forum too).

Guys plzzz help... I have F240s. first i was rooted on stock and then flashed cwm along with loki patch file (easy-cwm-f240s.zip file). i wanted EDGE on my
phone (i m in pakistan and only gprs works here on this phone) so i flashed panama rom by flash tool but lost the signal service.. i Wiped system, data, cache in CWM and restored data of my stock
rom from CWM but still no signals ( mobile model was still showing up e980h from panama rom) then i factory reset and flashed Cm 10.1 of f240s (i think i may have wiped system ,cache and date before it). now when i power on, LG logo appears on screen and in left top side it says:
Secure booting Error
Cause: boot Certification Verify
unfortunately i also had below 30% battery when i flashed cm10.1. NOW if i go to download mode and use mobile support tool
and flash tool to update it says: battery level is low and upgrade is unavailable, fully recharge ur battery and try again.
I Have used a battery stand charger to charge for 3 hrs but after checking phone software setting for 3,4 minutes it still says the same thing about battery again n again. should i let it charge to 100% no
matter how long it takes and then try or do something elsee... plzzz helppp....

Never never an Lg again

I like lg's hardware. I had optimus 3d and now have optimus g. Both has great hardware.
I have flashed custom roms since windows mobile days, so i should have a little experience..!
But you can never be sure to flash safely especially with Lg. You can loose your imei, baseband...etc
And now i have kernel crash on my loved optimus g... A demogod kernel crash. I can boot in cwm but cant restore system. It restore boot and then system restoring fails. I can also boot in android and after a few seconds it crashes. So it doesnt stay long enough to be fx recognized by pc to save it. Pc doesnt recognize it even in download mode. I will also try with another pc.
You dont have such problems with htc or samsung. The problems with these phones arent so complicated like lg.
SO NEVER AN LG AGAIN...
What about side loading rom? Phones with external sd cards are great in such moments.

You can't blame LG for a mishandeling YOU made.
I had HTC's and Samsung in the past, they all present a "bricking" potential if you start to fool around with Kernel, custom rom, etc.
Now, you should try to restore it back to stock to see if it fixes your issues.

Yes, I've read your post: You've flashed a custom rom and now get a kernel error.
Go back to stock in download mode using KDZ updater and you should be ok.
Follow this guide to the letter:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010624
And, as I already told, LG can't be blame for anything other than running stock. Even if you only root the device and crash it, you can't blame em for this.

Rooted and unlocked with a custom bootloader is not stock. You can have a lot of issue with the wrong bootloader. I once did!
Get it back to stock with the KDZ, you'll know if it's a software issue and if it's related to the custom/unlocking/rooting.
Wrong post sorrry.

This topic is not about update, it's about a bugus kernel. Don't mix things up please!
Finally... I figured it out. I have used the old KDZ updater and after tons of try, i did it. But again as i said no more LG... Maybe we should stick with a phone that has a sd slot. : )
A sum of what i did
1- find a stock rom from http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=20
2-Get old KDZ updater i have uploded and remove zip from the name
3-In KDZ updater choose 3GQCT and i think it was cs emergency, i am not sure and choose your kdz file and finally launch software update
4-Connect your phone in download mode to pc. KDZ updater has kicked the phone out of download mode and couldnt find the phone. Just try again and connect phone again while it extracts kdz file. You could also try different usb ports as i did.
Thats all.

Anyway, good to know you're ok now.
If you want to unlock, use this:

To unlock after, install Project FreeGee from google play

Can't blame on lg. I see a ip***e fired, my s2 baseband fu***d, all companies made there best. Maybe it's about damaged/dropped phone.
aren't threads/guides on rooting, flashing custom roms/kernels had warned you about a potential bricked device? sometimes it pays to understand/accept what we read.
Dont blame our root or unlocking methods. One day after unlock and root, my battery drain in 4 hours. I even cant flash custom android 4.2.2 ROM.Even twrp doesnt work, appears a black screen. One day i uninstalled NFC apk. And thats it. Everything go back to normal. I dont know why Android 4.2 ROMS dont work on my device in that time, but the battery problem was NFC.
Just sharing an experience.

ILAPO (Infinite Loop Auto Power off) FIX - ROOT REQUIRED for 4 Cores

Dear gals and guys,
I have created a video tutorial how to fix ILAPO issue here:
If you follow the step-by-step tutorial properly, you will be able to recover all your important data and even keep using the device.
If you are willing to either keep using the phone or sell it with all 4 cores enabled, please follow second tutorial:
Edit: New revision v8.0 has been released. Enjoy full Marshmallow support
Hey, thanks for that. Maybe I missed something but... what have you done in the 1st video?
That could be useful, but the only thing I got is the phone wasn't booting and the you got that booting.
Thanks!
W.
@maddler - I have only flashed the ILAPO fix using the LGUP, so that all cores but one have been disabled and I was able to get to the home screen once again.
Great work! Thx!
You saved my phone!
The lg rejections the mainboard replace, because unlock bootloader.
Now working perfect L, Is it possible in the future M?
Thx again!

If you could, please, add download links and (maybe) a step by step guide could be useful for lesser experienced users too.
Thanks by the way!
Edit: found this http://howtovideoz.xyz/play?m=6c624a5877506d62584663 (which appears to be your too, if I'm not wrong).
I run 4 cores since 4 months now, Im on a custom ROM and just enable them all 4 cores every boot in Device Control by changing frequency. I think I've mentioned that in my notice post but I can't remember. Its good though, that the app for it has been created, some people might know now how to use tools like Device Control. We also might want to think about why you cannot lock the device on AOSP/CM based ROMs with 4 cores enabled... BTW from Wed I'll be free of a bootlooped G4, my OnePlus 3 is comming!
@maddler - Yes, the video tutorial is in the first post.
@Adam Myczkowski - Please try the app and let me know whether or not it works for you.

Ok, great job guy, but where is the link to download the fix?
Moreover, if my smartphone is bootloop how can I downgrade from MM to LL? Everyone knows that even by flashing a different ROM, or downgrading, the smartphone does not start again!
@casabato - From where do you got that info? I downgraded from MM to LL without any problem. Model H815.

Good to know, thanks. I wanted to say this: my smartphone (H815 too) has MM, but if it is in bootloop how can I perform a downgrade to LL and be sure it was successful?
As far as I know anyone who has suffered a bootloop is unable to restart the smartphone even by flashing a different firmware.
So I should downgrade now that the smartphone works, and not when it is in bootloop (hopefully never!), To be ready to eventualities ..
However, my first question remains: where is the link to download the fix?

Really I sent my phone back to LG to fix the board and my bootloader was unlocked and they fixed it and sent it back.
I tried the 7 HD ROM and when I tried to go back to stock LGUP doesn't recognize my device because swversion is changed in 'cust / OPEN_COM /cust_OPEN_EU.prop'. How can I delete that file or edit. I lost the custom recovery and I have access only to fastboot.
@Chosen_on184 - You are the lucky one
@exilod - Did you extract only the system partition and flashed it using the send command utility? It works only for H815.

I have the H815. Here is what I tried:
After I encountered the bootloop for the first time I flashed the .tot fix with LGUP(The application could recognize my phone).
Then I applyed the 4 core fix with your app. Then I tried the ROM you recomanded but after some time I wanted to go back to stock L. LGUP says 'Unknown device '(see image) and I can't apply the tot fix again. I think the cust partition where that 7 HD sw information resides is not deleted even after reflashing the kdz. I don't know to use the Send_Command.exe except for connecting to phone and apply command for entering in fastboot mode.
If it's possible to flash with send command I am very interested how.

Maybe you have bad drivers. I had no success doing it under Windows 10, thus I had to switch to Windows 8.1 and install the following drivers: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934549194

I tried on two laptops with windows 10. same problem. I'll try with windows 8.1 but I still think the problem comes from the phone.
@exilod - If you can enter the download mode, then it should be easy to flash the kdz again.

Need help unlocking AT&T Calypso (U318AA)

Hello Everyone,
Today a friend gave me a phone that I would like to use, but it has a screen lock passcode on it that she doesn't know. The phone was given to her, but she couldn't use because it's AT&T and she is on T-Mobile so she passed it on to me. I checked the IMEI number on several sites and it's clean so i shouldn't have any issues. Is there a way I can remove the passcode from this phone?
My apologies if this is in the wrong section.

it is, I think the problem is with the super image but I'm not 100% sure. so if you can share a full mtk client backup it would be awesome. if not, a super image will do
your device stuck on logo ? or deadboot ?

every time I try to turn it on it bootloops to fastboot mode, I suspect that the issue is a super image I found online, flashed not knowing that it was corrupted (which I discovered later), and I foolishly didn't create a backup (why I went and downloaded the corrupted image in the first place) thinking that I will never go back to the stock rom but now after I have used a couple gsi's for a while found out that the og rom performance was much better and decided to go back

so this is just a bunch of .bin files that I have to flash using mtk client to said partitions? just making sure
and just to let you know I might not be able to download the file today, the internet is pretty sucky where I'm rn, so I hope you don't have a problem keeping the file up till tomorrow. and just wanted to thank you for the incredible help, I've been trying to fix this phone for the last two weeks which was headache inducing say the least.
you can flash this with lots of free tools .. if secure boot on you can't flash directly but i will help you . you just need to share your screen with me ..
sorry for the late response, but yeah I've flashed all of the files using mtkclient and it didn't work Idk if I have messed things up, I thought reflashing all of the stock firmware would fix everything but it seems that there's still something wrong

I've unlocked the bootloader and disabled boot verification, tried fastboot -w and fastboot format userdata and non of it worked, and I'm really sorry but I can't share my screen because as I've mentioned before my internet is bad and I had to go somewhere else to get the files. can I share anything else with you that might help, I have some recovery log files
IT WORKED!!!!! I don't know what was the problem, I've tried flashing the files again but this time using the terminal instead of the gui AND IT WORKED. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
I'm going to upload the files later in case someone else encountered the same problem
