I'm looking to see if i'm all up to date. I have the T999V version. I do a lot a search, without being 100% sure if I have the latest version of the bootloader and baseband for my phone.
Is someone knows what are the last version ?
My current are:
Bootloader: T999VVLDLL1
Baseband: T999VVLUEML2
All the modems are listed in this comprehensive thread. I don't know if you are on Wind or Mobilicity.
I aware of that thread, but it's only for modem(baseband) but not bootloader
I'm looking to find a solution for newer rom that won't boot since cyanongenmod merge s3 variant together to d2lte
Some people seems able to boot, and some like me can't
Maybe it's just cause by older bootloader like mine (VLDLL1 for SGH-T999V)

If you want to be up to date with T999V phone valid for everyone, stock rom, any custom rom. doesn't matter, work for any scenarios.
Most up to date file by 2014/03/03
You'll need this:
Odin 3.07
T999VVLUEML2_T999VYVLEML2_T999VVLUEML2_HOME.tar.md5
UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip
philz_touch_6.19.3-d2lte.tar.md5
DE-SAMSUNGNIZER_KNOX_REMOVAL_SCRIPT_V1.1.zip
DE-SAMSUNGNIZER_SCRIPT_V5.0.0.zip Optional ( to remove lot of samsung crap if you stick with Stock T999VVLUEML2_T999VYVLEML2_VTR )
You have to be in download mode, hold HOME+VOL_DOWN+POWER)
Then connect with USB
Now with the PDA button in Odin, select the tar file in VTR-T999VVLUEML2-20140104101338.zip and Install
Then install philz_touch_6.19.3-d2lte.tar.md5 ( or any other recovery in tar file ) Like the rom, use the PDA button to install it.
Now reboot you phone in recovery( hold HOME+POWER+VOL_UP )
In the recovery, install UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip and DE-SAMSUNGNIZER_KNOX_REMOVAL_SCRIPT_V1.1.zip ( if you want to get root acces and remove knox new samsung securty)
Optional install DE-SAMSUNGNIZER_SCRIPT_V5.0.0.zip
Reboot
And now you have the latest Bootloader and Modem(baseband), rooted and without Knox for T999V and can install any other roms you want.

I was flashing some Roms because i was trying to do the mod where the internal memory is switched with external, i was trying to find a rom that supported this. I flashed deadly venom, it runs on android 4.3 i believe, which required a modem and bootloader to be flashed for data and WiFi to work. After seeing it didn't work with the mod, I restored from a backup in TWRP. Everything seemed fine but now when I check my phone sometimes it says there's no connection. The signal bars have an x at times, it lasts like two minutes. I'm running CM 10.1.3. Before rooting I think my phone had android 4.1.1. Can I flash the original modem and bootloader, if so where can I find it? Also would it brick my phone if I tried?

Your phone is an AT&T s3 (i747) with a the 4.3 MJB bootloader? If it is, you cannot flash a stock 4.3 ROM via Odin unless the ROM as specifically compiled for flashing within Odin. Trying to flash any ROM older than 4.3 in Odin could brick your phone.
To confirm you bootloader, boot into download mode and let us know what it says on the download screen.
Is your phone showing the correct imei?
This is what it says in download mode:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-i747
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (7 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
Also I tried flashing Roms in TWRP and it says Failed
Sent from my SM-P600 using XDA Free mobile app
Okay, it looks like you do not have the 4.3 bootloader which is good.
If you have the AT&T s3 i747, yYou can use Odin to flash a stock AT&T ROM onto your phone while will restore it to the factory settings and software.
Download the stock 4.1.1 AT&T ROM from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=9080
Download and install the latest s3 drivers. Download Odin 3.07.
Launch Odin, boot the phone into download mode, connect the phone to computer, click on PDA, select the AT&T firmware you downloaded, click Okay. It will take a few minutes for Odin to check the file. The only items that should be checked in Odin is F.Reset Time, nothing else. Flash the phone. When you see Reset in the status window, remove the USB cable, remove the battery, replace the battery, boot into recovery, wipe data and cache, reboot the phone.
This method has worked me for without any issues. As with an procedure involving a firmware flash, there is always a chance that phone may become hard or soft bricked. Make sure you are prepared for such emergencies.
OK, if it does get bricked are there solutions to bring it back? Also after this if it goes well can I just reroot and restore from backup? Thanks a bunch for the help
Sent from my SM-P600 using XDA Free mobile app
Since you don't have the 4.3 bootloader, the flashing process is very straightforward.
What backup do you want to restore?
If you restore to stock 4.1.1, I recommend using Odin to install the latest version of Philz Touch which will allow you to root in recovery mode, copy a custom Kit Kat ROM to your external SD card, and flash it.
I got Rogers Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-I747M.
On it is installed Cyanogenmod 11 20140531 nighty d2lte with Android 4.4.2.
I found this firmware : Canada (Rogers) (Black Edition) , 2012 May , I747MVLALE8
PDA: I747MVLALH1 CSC: I747MOYBALH1 MODEM: I747MVLLH1
and program Odin3-v3.09.
The phone is locked to Rogers.
The color is white.
My goal is to unlock SIM lock.
1. Can I put firmware in zip format on SD card and just restore from SD card in recovery mode?
2. If no, what steps to do to reach the goal to get 4.1.1 stock ROM (rogers? telus? att?) to unlock SIM lock?
3. Maybe I have to do it from laptop with Odin or from the phone with Odin?
4. What are my options to get the goal 4.1.1. stock to get unlock SIM lock because I found free solution with that requirements on XDA forum?
Is there any 4.4.x custom rom for samsung gt-s6312

What bootloader is on your phone? If you have the stock 4.3 bootloader, you will have to purchase an unlock code.
Boot into download and look at the text on the screen. Do you see anything about warranty bit?

Thank you for reply!
Than more I know than more questions:
a) The ROM I found here is stock ROM 4.3 I can revert to -? -> by meanhacker -> Rogers (RWC) MK5 , because I checked about baseband version is i747mvluemk5.
b) I bought the code and when inserted non-accepted active SIM card from my another carrier, got the window asking PIN to unlock network , entered and got unsuccessful. The company said is right unlock code by IMEI sure.
So my question is does the particular Cyanogenmod 11-20140531-nighty-d2lte custom firmware prevent somehow to unlock SIM lock?
c) Do I have this KNOX issue or not, or is it prevent to downgrade ?
d) I found some KNOX remover can I apply it and downgrade after?
You should revert to a stock 4.3 ROM in order to use the unlock code.
There is a 4.3 ROM for Rogers you can use . search for a pre_rooted ROM on xda.

You cannot downgrade your bootloader.
Do not load any ROM via Odin that is older than 4.3. Don't load any att ROM as that could brick your phone too.
Was your phone ever running stock kit kat?

I don't have KK on my i747m. I loaded the stock 4.1.2 ROM and went straight to a custom 4.4 ROM.
Did you ever have the stock 4.4 ROM on your phone? If you did, I'm not sure if you can load a stock Rogers 4.3 ROM via Odin because the stock 4.4 ROM may have altered the 4.3 bootloader. The stock Rogers 4.3 ROM from sammobile.com and the pre-rooted ROM on XDA will load a stock 4.3 bootloader if flashed via Odin. You could flash a stock ROM via mobile Odin which does not alter the bootloader.
Once you are on the 4.3 bootloader, you cannot downgrade the bootloader regardless of whether you do or do not have Knox.
If you are sure you never had the stock 4.4 ROM on your phone, you could use Odin to load a stock Rogers 4.3 ROM, unlock your phone, go back to a custom ROM.
When flashing a ROM or altering your phone's software, there is always the risk of bricking your phone. Just be prepared to deal with a possible brick.

I747MVLUEKM5
But I solved problem to revert back to stock ROM using file I747MVLUEMK5_I747MOYBEMK5_TLS
been installing not from SD card but using laptop and Odin.
After I boot the phone I put SIM card and on pop-upped window entered official unlock code.
For using Odin program, I downloaded from internet vmware fusion, after found my cd disk with windows 7 ultimate and installed it.
After installed Odin and transferred above file to internal system and put the phone in downloaded mode connected and after a few minutes I get my phone booted with stock ROM.
What I surprised I did not find official page in Wiki of Cyanogenmod for official way to uninstall their product.
So I decided not to install the software that does not have official uninstallation tool. They have installation program only.
It's not good for us regular users. Before to come into the dark room usually it has to have to see exit way clearly.

I know of no custom ROM that can completely uninstall itself. One of best ways to revert back to stock is to flash via Odin which you were able to do.
Once I got the upgrade bug, I don't stick with stock for too long.
Congratulations on your success:good:
Title says all, i have an att SGH-I747 and i tried to install a custom rom without the phone being rooted (didnt know that was a requirement) and the original stock was 4.3 and i was trying to get it to 4.1 . after doing extensive research ive tried countless different files and such to restock the phone but nothing has helped because on odin, when i hit start, it goes unsuccessful to do auth being bad or something like that. so if someone wants to help a fellow brother out please dont hesitate. add me on skype godlypk101
Can you get into download mode or recovery?
FYI: if you were on stock 4.3 bootloader, trying to get back to stock 4.1.1 can brick your phone.
yes i can
Here's what I would do to at least get a working ROM on the phone:
1) copy the latest version of d2lte cm11 to your external SD card: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d2lte;
2) flash the latest tar.md5 version of Philz Touch from here: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_...Edition/d2lte/ in the PDA box of Odin;
3) reboot to recovery and flash CM11.
ok, now what if i dont have an ext sd card :S
You had the stock 4.3 ROM on your phone before attempting to downgrade to 4.1.1, correct?
If that's the case, this may help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2722660
yes, will try that method to see if it fixes anything.
in that pack theres 5 files and they start with, AP, BL, CP, CSC, D2 (Pit) where i put these on odin?
UPDATE: Put all the files in the correct spot, started the fix in odin and lets hope it works
ok so now that the phone is working, what are the steps im supposed to take in order to unlock this bad boy? should i refer to a method on xda on custom roms or should i go buy a code from a third party website?
So your phone booted on stock 4.3?
If the phone ever had the 4.3 bootloader, you cannot unlock the phone for free. You will have to purchase an unlock code.
I haven't tried but I think of your rooted then use cm boot loader then mount all partition and wipe then use cm to load new or old system. Think of it like a pc format then install. Simple
Hello,
Trying to install the custom ROM cyanogen mod 11.

In the guide it asks to DL Bootloader & Modem. My baseband is:
I747MVLUFOB3
I can't find any baseband corresponding to this one.
Here I found a firmware that correspond to my base band.

Not sure if it is useful...
Any way to install the custom room??
Cheers

Which variant of the galaxy s3 do you have? You should be able to flash any ROM compatible with your phone using TWRP or Phil touch recovery.
I have the i747m (rogers canada). I have TWRP 2.8.7.0 & rooted with Kingo root. Somehow it was the only way to root it. Tried Towel root & odin but both were doing nothing.
TWRP was installed a long time ago. I recently made an update on kies (what a mistake sign...). I was on 4.4.2 before and after the firmware update on kies.
I got a spare S3 motherboard (with cpu etc.) I might try on that one first but I need to disassemble & assemble everything... not very tempting.
I usually just use odin and http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ to start fresh and root again when I want to upgrade bootloader and modems.
As you saw at sammobile, OB3 is the latest official release for the i747. You do not need to do anything to your baseband (modem) to run CM11. You may want to verify that your bootloader (firmware) matches the modem. This can be done from within TWRP. Go to the advanced menu and in the terminal enter
Code:
getprop ro.bootloader
You should get a return ending in OB3.
I suspect the CM 11 updater-script has not been updated to account for the just released OB3 firmware. If that is the case, you could always edit the script in the roms zip file.
@dawgdoc
When I entered the command, it returned me:
I747MVLUFOB3
Secondly, I have not tried to install CM11 (or the newer version CM12?). I do not know if it works. I just want to make sure I can flash and not brick my phone.
My phone is not the d2att (i747), it is d2can (i747m). I believe these two are very similar but enough different to cause problem.
So, can I install CM11 or 12?
You are talking about changing a zip file... The newb I am know how to do that, but what exactly - that he doesn't know. So I would rather not mess with that. I guess TWRP checks if the firmware of the bootloader / modem matches to those from a compatible list and simply updating that list would allow me to install the build?
I was thinking about this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-att/development/unofficial-cyanogenmod-12-t2968854
Don't know the exact difference with the CM12 but it says d2can.
However, the BaNkS GAPPS - GAPPS link does not work... I don't know what that is.

The unofficial CM12 -5.1.1 by @matrixzone is good for the i747M, aka d2can. If you have any doubts, ask on that thread if it is updated to run on OB3? Matrixzone is active on the forums and should respond to your question. Also I just checked the updater-script for the latest CM11 official nightly and it is set up to run on the i747M.
So, either should run with no problems for you.
What is the bootloader and modem version needed and how do I get them without getting a locked bootloader? I'm on i747M with 4.1.1 Stock rom with DLK4 modem and bootloader. There are newer bootloaders and modems that can be flashed through recovery but some people have been getting bricks when messing with bootloader.
THey say to use Official firmwares to have it update the bootloaders but which one is the proper firmware version to get the proper bootloader and modem version to allow DATA 4g LTE after flashing CM12.1 Lollipop rom?

Hmmm...thats what i am actually thinking as of now....but looking for easy alternative like if we get the flashable zip or something of this baseband i can just flash it without taking backup of ROM and reinstall the ROM etc.....
But am looking for a site where i can download these basebands....
i take it you are trying to update the modem/baseband ihere you go. Must be done thru odin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/general/foh3-modem-bin-mdl-bootloader-t3191094
IMPORTANT: DO NOT CHANGE THE BOOTLOADER unless u KNOW EXACLY what you are doing...changing bootloader to the wrong bootloader will brick your device and some modem packages conatin bootloader. so make sure that you are getting a ODIN file that only contains the modems and no bootloader!
if you wish to properly update the bootlaoder and baseband properly ....just ODIN the OFFICIAL samsung release for your device and then re-root and reinstall recovery and then your rom.

Perfect....I will use this one....
And on S4 you don't even need to root before flashing TWRP and your ROM of choice. Just double flash the stock release with ODIN, let it boot up and make sure all is well, go into Camera to let it see if it needs a firmware update (happens automatically first time you run stock camera app), and when satisfied your phone is good, go into download mode, take TWRP + whatever else you want.
