Hi,
I have tried Viper4Android and it only works with some music apps. (It doesn't work with Pandora)
V4A only works with compatible mode and not normal mode.
Almost all equalizers doesn't work with pandora in S4 mini.
Is there an equalizer that works with all audio output for s4 mini? (Including Pandora)
Make sure the viper4audio "root" settings are done and the main audio settings. It's tricky but it should work in normal mode.

SuperSU root settings = done
V4a Headset audio settings = done
I even tried Force Enable Driver
All of these settings didn't work with normal mode. (No pandora effects)
OK install busy box and update it then.
a. Open up /system/build.prop in text editor using any file explorer with root access.
b. Change the line
Ipa.decode=true*to*lpa.decode=false*
tunnel.decode=true*to*tunnel.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=true*to*lpa.use-stagefright=false

Anyone know if there was a framework made for our latest firmware?
Just use Xposed Framework and call it a day...
Will this work with full stock note 2 t889 rooted ??

Yes, just make sure you use the "updated" modules and you should be good to go.
I'm currently using:
DisableBatteryFullAlert
EnableCallRecording (as far as I can tell all of Canada is "single party" and it's come in handy a few times)
Play Store link in App info
ScrollingLauncherWallpaper
Xposed App Settings
Xposed Dormant Mode Notification Disabler (hides the "Blocking Mode" notification)
xMulti Window Mod (which, as you've guessed, enables multi-window with everything)
All work great on my own kitbash of N7105XXDMB3.
I cant see no modules mods on the modules side is empty also im on 4.1.1

Yeah my xposed installer doesn't work anymore either, I downloaded another version of it and doesn't report multiwindow

Got mine to work on WickedV3. Just follow the steps in the OP in that thread. Here's what I did step by step"
Push app to /system/app, then make sure permissions is 644 rw r r. Reboot. Open app, install drivers (grant root), reboot then tweak. If you use PowerAMP, you MAY need to enable MusicFX support: Phone settings>My device>audio/sound>Music Effects>check the app name in the box that shows up; then, PowerAmp settings>audio>advanced, enable MusicFX support. Then go to tone/volume page (where bass, treble, and StereoX settings are) and enable MusicFX, long press the MusicFX toggle to open app and tweak settings directly.

I got it working by installing the .apk as a regular app then installed the drivers.choose A8 Neon. Reboot. Now open up the viper4android fx app and "enable master power",hit menu/driver status and should say "enable : yes" . Now you move the .apk to system/app set permission rw r r. Reboot.
I got it working with Winamp and jet audio. Does not work for me with stock player, playerpro, somehow it disables the drivers...so it may not work on some music apps.

Im on stock TW with Verizon S4, and this mod works perfectly with stock player. My only problem is using this with Google Play Music app. It works intermittently. Seems as tho maybe cached music may have something to do with it? I dont know. Lemme know what you gents think

Through ample time of tinkering with settings I finally have it up and running lag free!
What you'll need:
Market Helper app (Google it)
GLTools in the play store
Open market helper and set your device to "tabled" and model to "asus transformer". By doing this the play store will display apps and games designed for tablets. Go to play store and download "commander". Now install and open "gltools" you will need a custom kernel such as the govnaaa in order for it to install. Open the gltools app and select commander and set the following
*Enable custom settings for this application.
*Optimize GLSL Shaders
*Use fake GPU info
*Use fake CPU info
*Use A template (nvidia tegra4 shield)
Exit gltools and launch commander BOOM it works!
These are not my apps and take no credit for them.

Well you would have to be rooted in order for this method to work as far as I know.
Who Da Baby Dady?!
I have xtresto lite Rom (5.0 lollipop) on my s5.
Every time I try launching market helper, choose settings ang grant SU rights, the app crashes.
Please assist
Bump
Like the guy above me. Galaxy S5 running CM12. After tapping "activate", it'll go up to "doing magical things" and then says unfortunately market helper has stopped working.
Any ideas how to resolve this? Can't get Xposed because it's not compatible with S5 yet apparently too. Sad face..

Unless you root and mod the sound is required. There was a law passed that says the provider nor manufacturer can make it so the sound can be disabled. The reason being is so you can't be one of these creepers in the malls taking pictures without permission.
There is an app called "enforced stream silencer" that does not require root. Maybe thus will work I will know at 9 am tomorrow and report back!
I believe if all of your volumes are down, you won't hear it.

Root it
Install xposed installer
There is an xposed app called Wanam that will let you tweak pretty much anything.
Enforced stream silencer tested and works

Wanam doesn't work to disable shutter sound. I just tried.
Some of the Wanam settings do jot work with the Note 4.

^^^^ This worked perfectly for me too.
You can also change the name of the shutter.ogg file in system settings using root explorer which worked for me

The camera shutter sound option in the camera settings menu is a csc feature which only gets enabled if your carrier & country code has it. The actual setting checkbox can be added by a rom dev along with a lot of other options throughout the phone. When I get around to rooting my new Note 4 I plan to get to work on making a custom stock rom with all the bells & whistles including the camera shutter sound menu option. I'm coming from the Note 2. Things will soon pick up for the Note 4 develop section.

Device/System/csc/feature.xml. In feature.xml edit the line in the camera section, "shutter sound menu" from false to true. Reboot the phone. You will then have an option to enable/disable the shutter sound in the Camera apps menu . You must be rooted and use something like es file Explorer
Turn your ringtone volume all the way down to silence the camera shutter sound.

I used that one a couple of years ago. I believe you may have to change permissions for feature.xml to r w through root Explorer if I remember correctly.
Es Explorer will just do it automatically if it's root explorer setting it set to "ON".
let me know how it goes.

Awesome it worked! I didn't have to change anything. I guess somehow it picked up the change I made from before, and after I installed it, it made the changes automagically lol.

Great, glad to hear it. Glad I could help.
I wonder if anyone managed to get the app working.
Install is fine, root access granted but in build.prop file are no matching lines to edit as described in howtos. Adding them, change NuPlayer/Awesome Player is also useless ...
Driver status is 'abnormal'.
Any ideas?

SElinux mode changer is no longer available in the play store... Are you able to suggest any other way? Any information would be much appreciated.
try download viper4android v2 from playstore
Anyone else getting static or what sounds like quantization noise especially while using AGC? Renaming libbundlewrapper.so didn't eliminate it.

Seems a little louder so far but cannot tell if quality of sound is improved at all

Does v4a have an effect on battery?
How does its amping work?
Is it adding gain and reducing dynamic range in software (like an eq) or actually taking control of the audio hardware and passing more current?
V4A, to me at least, sounds 100% better. Gotta play with the settings, otherwise I got some crackling.

this works
This works if you have an HTC one m7 and have tried everything. Use SeLinuxModeChanger here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=1883 it works even if you have s-on. After downloading install, Grant. unistall and reinstall viper4Android and then reboot. Success :good::good::good:
