hi guys
Can anyone help me. My Samsung S3 was rooted. i had unroot it to get it to stock ROM. I tried to update to the new software but an error message pop saying that my device is modified and software can not be updated.
I don't know of i unrooted right
please help

Thread is months old. But how about you use the gapps from the link in the op? It clearly states this is 4.1.2 ROM and needs 4.1.2 gapps.

Yes, sorry but it is only compatible with android version 3.0 and above. Yours seems to be 2.3.
I will try to make it work also in version 2.3. I just need to have time and to figure out how.

Ok so once I saw my verizon note 4 sm-n910v got an update to Lollipop 5.01 I started to search for the tools. Now yesterday morning my phone did do an update by itself. Now when I try to run Odin it fails every time. Can I get some help it with this to fix this.

Are you sure? I got an update on my phone saying to upgrade to it?
I will wait for confirmation from the site for a root then & make sure no more upgrade/updates are made then

You need to do more research. Root and updates are not the same thing. There is no root method available at this time.

That root method is for the "Developer Edition" only. It will not work on the retail version.

There's nothing in that article that mentions the Developer Edition. That's pretty misleading.
I have AT&T Note 10 + (N975U) stuck on SGO. I can never get OTA update on all my Samsung phones. AT&T tech support can't help me. I talked to their tech supervisor, promised to call me back but he didn't. I'm giving up on their support and do it manually. I also had to do it with my Note 9.
I like to update to SJ8. Do I need to update SI2 > SJ2 > SGO or ok to update directly to SGO? Which firmware version do I need to download because I don't see AT&T on sammobile. What is USERDATA?
If you can point me to beginner guide that would be great. Thanks!

The United States Snapdragon firmwares are the same. Provisions to the sim you have. I will also point you to the thread that has been around since the 10+ dropped. A ton of knowledge there

I was checking out that thread earlier. What is the different between your file and USERDATA file from that thread for SJ8?
These are not my files. Sometimes when the zip is posted, Venom has to post the user data separately. Not sure why you would have to ask. Are you not familiar with Odin flashing firmware?

Just load files from Frija and flash. I never flash userdata...I always do a clean install...but that's my preference.
