download mp3 file thru stream? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

I suppose this may classify as a galaxy note 2 trick. Currently I have my old music on a website that streams it for you. I would like to recover this material as a saved file but it only streams it. I am looking for a way to do it on my mobile for I don't have my pc anymore and forgot my login. I know there are ways to download streaming videos via apps. I want to download my streaming mp3's. I am aware of a way with firefox using "about:cache? Device=memory" but that's on pc. Ide just like to recover the songs I have produced with the only computer I have which is my note 2.

It's official the about:memory?Device=memory code in firefox works. Find the correct link in the cache. You just need the view source add on to copy and paste the encoded link to an online url decoder, copy and paste the decoded link to the firefox browser. Long press the play button then you can save the audio. (Tested on soundclick)

Basically you can download any song you stream that doesn't have downloading enabled, directly to your Android. Someone should make this an app.

Apollo...you should make an app...
You are capable of this I'm sure..
That would be cool....g

Help putting films onto my Blackstone

I've recently tried uploading media files to my phone but they won't play. The first film I uploaded was an AVI file. This didn't play because I don't have a divx player on the phone. Does anyone know where I can download a player for my phone?
Second film I tried to upload was a dvdrip in Mpeg~1 format. This didn't play in the media player either.
Could anyone tell me the best way to get some films onto my phone?
To transfer the files I have just been dragging and dropping them into the storage card.
First of, I would recommend Coreplayer to play divx movies and what not. It's smart to get the blackstone video converter which was in the rom section I thought, use the search function
Sorry for spellingerrors, typing this in the bus on myblackstone which is a tad bumpy! Cheers.
There is a video converter in this forum which converts many types into ones which the video player from HTC (from the album) can play.
If you dont want to have to convert the films I would also reccomend using coreplayer. Its not free but it is worth paying for.
If you want a cheaper option you can download divx mobile player for free. It wont play the files as smoothly as coreplayer though.
Thanks for the advice. £20.00 is pretty steep. I don't think I would pay it. Are there any free versions of this software?
I remember converting media files for my Ipod once and gave up after 30 mins of converting a heroes episode hadnt finished the conversion. I'll give it another go on here though.
I'll try downloading the divx mobile.
Hey i'm absolutly new on this forum, just got my htc touch hd and i really like it. yes i was really frustated that it didn't play avi or mpg files, therefore i started downloading mp4 files when i came across this wonerful site, these files will play on your htc touch hd, the site is
http://www.vietfiles.org/phim-ma-downloads/40603-mu-high-quality-psp-movies-tv-shows-mp4-format.html
althought it's on megaupload which is annoying downloading one by one

It's up to you to decide whether £20 are too much. Anyway it does the job and does it quite nicely.
If not, you can try TCPMP - it's free, just google it up. I haven't tried it, though.
Do you need a membership to download films at vietfiles? i clicked on the film links and then there is no download icon on the next screen.
I've downloaded divx mobile. Extracted the files using WinRar and then dragged the two files, setupPocketPC and Divx Player onto my phone.
Neither of the two files will open on my phone. The setup one says its not a valid pocket pc application. The divx one says there is no application associated with the divx player it tells me to run the first file first then this one within it.
I then tried opening the file on my PC but it asked for Microsoft Active sync, however I can't upload active sync onto my computer because I'm running the dreaded Vista.
Help guys, anyone else faced this problem?

Vista is not to blame here. Active Sync is now called 'Windows Mobile Device Center'. Download it from Microsoft, install it in Vista, establish a partnership with the device, sync your device.
Then you can run the Divxsetup in Vista, it will call ActiveSync/MBDC and install the CAB file on your device.
I use the built-in HTC album player though. MPEG4-ASP compressed video in an MP4 container is the format that works best. Use the video converter frontend mentioned above.
Cheers

nah when you click on the link it gives you, that should open a new window then in that window it goes to vietfiles then 3 secs later it should automatically redirect you to the megaupload site and download from there
if that doesnt work
try highlighting the link then pasting in your browser

Downloading Songs & Images Thru The Web Browser

I've been tweeting with a guy whos currently using wp7 and this is the info he gave me for anyone wondering about downloading from the web browser
@sedp23 you can definitely download pictures to the pictures hub. Not sure about audio yet. Let me try.
i gave him a link to try to download a song
@sedp23 ok, direct mp3 links download and play. But doesn't look like I can save them permanently to my library on the device.
@sedp23 yep I can play it on the device. But no option to save it.
@sedp23 yeah I guess it's downloading to some temporary location. Images you can tap and hold then select "save picture". Not mp3s.
now keep in mind he has a developers handset so maybe this might change come the final version but if the mp3 is downloading and playing on the device im sure there has to be some kind of way to save it and add it to your library. If anyones out there with a wp7 can u add to this? is there anyway to add the songs u download to your library?

App for Streaming Video

I have looked around, and can't find any information in threads that are not at least a year old. I use airplayit on my ipad to stream videos stored on my desktop to the tablet and it works fairly well. However, their android app crashes on my phone when I try to add a computer for it to stream from. I also tried an app called skifta from the play store, however it crashes when I open it. I am trying to find, Ideally, one program that will work for both my ipad and my phone, but if that is not possible, just a good one for my phone would suffice.
Any ideas?
I like BS player. It has a LAN mode that you can use to stream media. It so far Plays all of my .mkv files without stutters.
I use Plex media server

Somewhat on this same note...Do any of you use p2p4u.net for streaming sports? If so, have you been able to use it on your E4GT?

This seems to be exactly what I was looking for. 5 bucks is the most I've paid for an android app, but I just might have to do it.
I for one would love to see Google do for video files what they did for music (Google Play Music). Streaming videos via your pc to phone while on the same network is a nice feature but having it in the cloud would be a plus.
I use bs player as a player, but have set up an ftp server on my home pc and navigate to it through es file explorer.

Okay in the process of trying to find an app that could stream video files as well as music & document files I came across an app called ZumoCast. This app is specifically made to run on certain Motorola devices but doing some searches here on XDA I found a patched version, installed it on my phone and thus far it works flawlessly (well almost), no widget support & album art doesn't always show up.
I haven't tried it while I'm away from home so I can't really tell you how well things would stream outside the network but in house it works great.
Attached you will find the apk & here is the link to the windows install file (sorry iOS users no support for you guys at this time)
Enjoy

Thanks. I'll have to give this a try. I was getting weird errors with plex and it didn't want to play back most of my video files for some reason
I use ES file explorer to access all my files: system, network, ftp, and cloud. They all stream flawlessly and I just play them on DICE player. Love the new popup player.

[Q] how to change out wonders of nature video with my own personal videos

^ hi..my question is simple and yet I've searched everywhere with no luck...can I change the wonders of nature video on my tablet with say a video of my own....?
There are many ways, but one way is:
Connect your tab to a Mac or pc via usb and use file manager / Windows explorer to drag and drop files. You can put them in the Videos folder or create one. I don't know all the formats the built in app will play. You can also get BS player or MX player or vlc player from the play store. Those support a lot of formats
To delete the wonder of nature video, you can open the gallery app, select it by long press, and delete.
