Just need to wait for a pre rooted one... or make it your self! It's not sooo complicated actually... there are really nice guides on how to make a flashable zip from a ftf, including the "root kit" into system.sin

FTF can only be made by Sony. Perhaps someone can make a flashable zip
In flashtool you can make an .FTF bundle by decrypting an existent firmware download...
Try emma

well then.... maybe a cwm flashable one?

I assumed that he can't boot the phone. My mistake, sorry!
And besides he can, of course, install CWM through X-Parts, it would be equally useless if he want to restore a NANDROID under locked bootloader...
Tried on my old NEO, and awfully failed in bootloops...

So all you have to do is to update software, install CWM, and make a NANDROID backup of the new ROM...

Enma is a Sony's tool. So don't expect it to handle FTF bundles. Only their own propietary bundles.

I would make one, if Sony would release it to me aswell.
Some users reported receiving it already, however I have not.

Hi,
I m new to the forums.
I have a sony xperia s with a locked bootloader but has been rooted.
i have cwm installed on it and currently have XZXperiance_2 installed.
I would like to go back to the offical ICS 4.0.4 Rom.
The phone says it is still logged as 4.0.4 but with different system on it.
I would like to go back to the origional system because of the official JB Update in the next few weeks.
If some could help me step by step it would be much help =]
I have set it back to factory settings but doesnt go back to the origional system i dont think i backed up the old system =[
Any help would be much appriciatted,
Many Thanks
Dan
Use flashtool from development part of Xperia s forum.
Download it, instal drivers, download ICS 4.0.4 generic world and flash it via flashtool.

I hv flashed 15.1.c.1.17 ftf I want to upgrade to latest version..
Is there any chances to brick the device?
If you do it carefully there are no chances of brick,
Best way is, go to Sony update service and say repair, it all update to latest FW.
Sent from my C1904 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
DO NOT USE SONY UPDATE SERVICE OR PCC this will brick your device hard as you have unlocked bootloader and Sony state this in their website you will have to download the ftf from this forum and flash it via flashtools
