After installing CM rom my home network no longer appears, I flashed back to stock but I still doesn't appear.
I've flashed and reflashed the thing so many times now I've completely lost track of what I am supposed to be doing.
I am on 4.4.2

flashed the latest 4.4.2 GAPS
And nothing, I've been on this now for two days straight but have nowhere else to go.

My oh my you've made someone very happy indeed. That must have been it because even when I went back to stock it was still NA stock and not my original EU firmware, which is why it only worked the very first time fresh outta the box.

Okay wassup guys? Just made my account today and I already have a question.
Okay well I rooted my Evo using Revolutionary and shortly after that I flashed Sinister's Rom as seen here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1012918 After doing so I went to turn on my Wifi and below Wifi is says Error and when I tap it nothing happens at all. I tried going back to my Nandroid back-up and Clearing everything again 4 or 5 times and then went back to Sinister's ROM and I am still left with this Error of mine... I am a n00b but not a complete one but anyway for software info I have Android Version 2.3.3 If that helps at all. Any other specs needed just tell me. Any help is appreciated ! Thanks

Did you try rebooting already? I had a similar error when I flashed MIUI, only with the built-in tether. After a few retries and rebooting, it finally worked.
I would try getting another download or re-flash the rom. Did you install the rom on a clean install?
I have tried rebooting multiple times and have had no luck and yes Installed on a clean install and I cleared the Caches also. As for installing another ROM do you have any suggestions? Like I said I am a n00b

If you like intense graphic wallpapers, go for cm7. If you want your Evo to look like an iPhone, go for MIUI.

Hi folks,
I did rooted my arc 3 months back and i can still access my super user, yesterday i installed cwm for xperia phones successfully.
I tried to flash 4.0.4_Xperia-S_deodexed-V2.5beats using CWM(previous version stock 2.3.5). I did cleared the cache and all the stuff, but now i cannot boot to OS or CWM or anything, literally i can't use my phone.
It just shows up screen with Sony Ericsson Logo goes no where.
Please help me guys I want to install any custom ROM on my phone please suggest me

You have probably wiped data too which is a factory reset. Run your back up or reflash.

i reflashed an old version 2.3.4 and every thing is working fine, got an OTA update on phone and downloaded the update using wifi and it turned off as the part of update process, thats it and never turned on :crying::crying::crying:
i tried again to flash the same version but never worked!!! what can i do now
Flash THIS with the flastool and report back.
i tried that just now and it does the same result, after flashing the .ftf file it says to take the cable off and turn it on. It never turns on but when i press the power button it blinks the green LED (donno what it does mean!!)
any ways thanks for your suggestion.

Excellent. Sometimes we just can't see the wood for the trees, myself included.
This problem suddenly came out of nowhere.
I've had the same rom (paranoid android 3.99 RC2) running on my phone for 6 months and everything works perfectly until one day as I'm driving home the GPS goes wonky.
I restart my phone and then boom, no cell service on my phone.
I tried to:
wipe cache, dalvik
shutdown and reboot multiple times,
install a fresh copy of the rom,
tried other roms,
made sure i wiped system and storage when flashing new rom,
and tried to insert, reinsert sim card multiple times.
Strangely enough when this problem happens, the home button laso seems to act like its unlocking the device...
What do you guys think?
I'm thinking maybe I got some water on my device and ended up having it seep into the home button and the back of the device.
Sounds like a modem issue, might just need updating to the latest for you device...

Agree with the updating modem?
Have you popped open the phone and checked the water indicators ? Check for water invasion, that would answer whether it's a factor or not.

I flashed to the stock rom and unrooted, which flashed the UCALJ2 Modem. It's working fine now on Paranoid 3.60.
I downgraded to that one since I never had any troubles with that rom, I kinda liked that version anyway,
but if I get any issues I will post here again.

That's possibly because I have a lot going on. And I try my best to have it UPDATED with the latest stuff.
You wanna know when the last time I updated, then look at the top of the OP page. Updated yesterday btw

Hey, I've been flashing roms for quite a while now. Earlier, I tried to upgrade my bootloader (from 4.3 to 4.4) via odin-ing back to stock 4.4.2, then flashing the custom recovery. After the custom recovery, I wanted to reboot, and TWRP asked me if I wanted to fix root and install, and I pressed fix. Now my phone is completely weird. I tried clean flashing everything all over again. After the flash....The Samsung SetupWizard crashes, then goes back to normal. After setup, the phone runs good till like 5 minutes. It suddenly freezes and goes back 30 seconds after. And If i changed the volume, it would "Lag" for like 30 seconds, and goes again...I need help fixing cuz I need the phone :crying::crying:
Also, even after the stock 4.4.2, My baseband is the same old 4.3 version*
Edit: random FCs on TW home and "system proccess stopped responding" as well.
SOLVED: For anyone having the same problem. Flash an AOSP rom, then upgrade. That was a weird problem that happened... THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED

Never click fix for root. I also never heard you say you rooted. Ur missing a few steps. Odin back to stock and follow the outline someone wrote in this section.

I've tried that, but still no luck
If you baseband is still 4.3 and not changed to the nb4 then you did not flash the stock 4.4 update correctly. Redownload the correct version from sammobile.com and see if that helps.
If you are still having problems, if you can take your questions to the outline I wrote and post your question there, you might get more help and in the end help others. I am trying to consolidate all these posts about rooting to help more people.

The problem starts when the bottom of the screen says auto update time and date.... Problem still persists...
And when I tested it on stock android, everything seems to be working fine flawlessly

ok guys, i have a question for you. keep in mind that im new to the phone world lol. ok so a bout a month ago i wanted to unroot my phone but for some reason the tar files on sammobile wasnt working right. so i came on here and downloaded what i believed to be the file that i needed to go back to stock. after i used odin and the phone rebooted it automatically notified me that i had a update. after i accepted the update and it rebooted, it again notified me that i have yet another update. so after this happened i noticed that my phone was updated to 4.4.4 kitkat which would be great exept for the fact that it keeps freezing and when i am on wifi i have a problem getting phone calls aswell as text messages. also when i disconnect from wifi i have to restart the phone to get any data back. is there anything that i can do? is it possible to go back to 4.3 or even 4.2.2? any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello! Did you make a back up of your phone before you started the update? That would be the easiest way to go back to how it was. If you used Odin and didn't install a recovery like TWRP or Clockwork you may not have done so. I believe you can reload from Odin with an older ROM it will just erase everything you did. There are stock ROMS here at XDA and galaxynote3root.com as well. Let me know it this helps, sorry for your troubles.

Thanks for the reply, so i wont have any problem downgradeing? I think i read somewhere that i could brick my phone. And if it is possible what version am i able to go back to?
Oh and to answer your question, i have never has a custom recovery on this phone and i didnt make a back up.

I'm actually surprised that you did get an update to 4.4.4... You could try going back to NF9. The safest route I see that you can take is to install a custom recovery and make a backup before doing this. If you odin NF9 and it doesn't boot then you're kinda screwed because we technically don't have the 4.4.4 update yet, so if anything goes wrong, you can install a recovery again and restore the 4.4.4 backup.

haha i was surprised to, i cant find anyone else that has it with this phone either, i was kinda wondering if i maybe downloaded the wrong file maybe for a different country or carrier. im not sure how to do the hole backup and custom recovery thing.

You can get the latest TWRP recovery here : http://www.techerrata.com/file/twrp2/hltetmo/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.1.0-hltetmo-4.4.img.tar
Just odin that and after it's done, go into recovery by doing Vol down + Home and do a backup either in your internal or external storage. After that finishes, you can go back in download mode and odin NF9.

I got it on here, it was a tar for 4.4.2 i believe and after i downloaded it, it said i had a update. After that i had another update lol which brought me to the hell im in now lol 4.4.4
