Hello,
You have to decompile the SystemUI.apk again after you've edited it. So you can't see the black 1px lines in the .9.png image anymore.

Thank you for saying that you have done it in your 2 themes...That's..excellent.
But, anyway could someone provide with .apk files for each color mentioned? It would be great to have one for each theme people use..Just my suggestion

you noe ...you could download other roms with a mod clock or widget and extract it out the apk from /system/app and use Root Explorer to put it back on ur phone system....hope that helps!!!!

[MOD][CM9][System background][Dialer Background][MOD][SGS2]

This is my first attempt at a MOD for a ROM. It is for CM9 and is an abstract background for the system menus. It wont work if you use a theme from the theme chooser in CM9
DO A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!!
I have only tested it on SGS2 CM9 Nightly 706 so far.
I am going to look at changing the background for the dialer too and also will include other abstract backgrounds when I become a bit more au fait with how to do it.
EDIT: Added dialer background
EDIT: Added another
Thanks to Gabowinter for his tutorial

Are they working ok for those that have downloaded?

How can I change the background manually?
I've found the background_holo_dark.png in framework but neither Solid or Root explorer won't let me copy the file for backup before I replace it.
I know there's a thread for this I just can't find it on Tapatalk.
Edit: thanks for link, need ADB and 7zip to do it

Searching for it too. But in can hardly affect the perfomance, so.

No. Its more than that. U also need to change certain thing on ur .xml n .smali files. Thats y a guide is needed.
The UOT Kitchen can do that. You're talking about the empty space that gets taken up by notifications right?

because sometimes there are mods that are not exactly cross compatible with other mods. take for example your gs5 theme which is incompatible with lens flare lockscreen mod.
