Locate my IMEI - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Lost my phone a Galaxy Note II N7105 LTE i need to locate the IMEI as I dont have the box/plus didnt write down the IMEI. I thought from Play Store under devices they could display my IMEI as want to report it to network operator to Block/Bar that phone
I did howver once backup the EFS partition maybe anyone know how to extract IMEI from that ? or any other way maybe from a common cloud service perhaps people use and they could have my IMEI in there?

Don't you have imei under Your battery?

Hello to everybody,
First of all sorry for my english.
So about what is the tread
There is arround 10 bricked phones in Bulgarian Android Forum.Becouse we cant find where is the problem I decide to ask here.
Problem: After flashing stock test 4.3 and downgrade after back to 4.1.2 the result is --IMEI 0049 and Permanent Test Mode.
what we know until now:
Phones bought from shops for phones reported they downgrade back without issues
Phones bought from mobile operators -bricked IMEI
Flashing again 4.3 after brick do not restore IMEI
P.s
Sorry if the tread is on wrong place and 10x for your opinions about problem

Impact on device/How I know I have corrupted EFS
When there is EFS partition is corrupted, device loses IMEI and due to this device can't gets connected to network. Baseband info also sometimes shows unknown.
-Check your IMEI in setting / by dialling *#06# if it is null OR if it starts with 0049** then IMEI is generic and corrupted. In Normal case IMEI which you can see in device setting or dialing *#06# is exactly same you can see on bill/box/sticker under battery compartment
-If you are unable to connect to network in spite of correct IMEI, chance are
A. Your device is Locked to specific Network OR
B. Your device is banned due to tempered IMEI
-If your AP,CP,CSC all are correct and even you are getting error (unknown CSC XXX) on kies update, it may be due to corrupt Product code in EFS. Read This for detail.

If you dont have efs backup then you probably need the z3x box to make repair for your imei and change it to the original one didnt test the ariza patch on this kind of problem but why not give it a shot

Did you ever get this? I've read in other threads that there is one on this site, but I haven't been able to find it. My imei got wiped, so I re-input it, but I still can't connect to AT&T. I read that others had this problem and used an AT&T qcn file to repair their phone.

There's an at&t qcn file in this thread, where the IMEI has been removed. I used this mod and can attest the qcn file is good. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2068041

[Q] i747 bad esn

is it possible to fix i747 with bad esn...cant get 4g data on stock 4.4.2 ucufne4..phone is stuck on edge after restoring baseband and firmware which was caused by a hard brick..imei and baseband are fine...jus no 4g data
Does you phone show the correct imei when you dial *#06#?
yes it does...full set of numbers
Isn't the imei the ESN? I may be wrong.
theses are two different things...the imei is for service and calls..the esn is for phone being registered with company or what not...since my esn is bad i cant replace my qcn file...phone name is registered as unknown...i see it come as com5 but cant read or write file on qpst..
I didn't know the real difference between the two. Thanks for the information.

I was going to suggest using nvwriter to re-inject your imei but your imei doesn't appear to be the problem.
i used nvm writer and a text file i got from another thread and it worked..now i have my 4g data working again...thanks bro

Wrong IMEI

I bought an G3 (D851) for the wife. IMEI (from about phone and *#06# are both the same) was clean and phone activated on T-Mobile. Worked for a couple of weeks then quit. IMEI is now blacklisted. Rechecked IMEI and it comes back to a Galaxy Note 3 N9005 that is blacklisted as lost/stolen.
So then I check the tag underneath the battery and it has a different IMEI, one that is registered to a LG G3 (D851) that checks clean.
I did not know you could spoof or change an IMEI. Is there any way to restore the original IMEI so I can use the phone?
I'm not real computer/phone literate but I did do a hard reset to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, there are tools that facilitate changing the IMEI. However, they are not very easy to use for someone who is not an expert. The IMEI can be _restored_ easily in cases where you have a backup of it. There are apps wgich do this, called EFS backup / restore apps. I believe that in order to use them that you have to be rooted.
There's a tool called QPST furnished by Qualcomm that does that sort of thing (allows changes to the IMEI).
In your case, you can look for someone who has professional tools to do it. I sent my VS985 to a guy I found through eBay who charged $37 to restore the IMEI which just came up blank after I flashed CloudyG3 v2.5, which wiped out the IMEI. BTW, don't flash that ROM on any G3 unless you have a backup of the modem (EFS) data.
The guy who did the work for me is in Carrollton TX. If you want to do something like that, PM me. I can look for his contact info.
