[Q] HTC One X Stuck in Hboot and CWM - HTC One X

Hello
I have the problem that I can not access my the sd card so I can not put another rom onto the sd card.
I can both access the HBOOT, fastboot and recovery (CWM)
What should I do to save my phone from the dead?

Go into the recovery and mount the sdcard as a diskdrive and copy a rom. And install the rom as described about everywhere

Or this one :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvcapmh8tsw5o3b/twrp-endeavoru.img
Try again. And give the philz recovery some time to mount

with this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery Philz-recovery-5.15.9.img

Recovery, error mounting /sdcard

Hi, I have a problem, when I try to mount /sdcard in Recovery I get error mounting /sdcard, the SD-card works fine in Windows and if I use Villain ROM. Any idea whats wrong?
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
Why do you want to mount SD card in recovery manually? If you want to use USB storage, you can enable this option with an extra option (Toggle USB-MS).
SwiftKeyed from CyanogenMod with Transparent XDA App
So I can install another rom from recovery
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
You don't need to mount SD card manually. Just flash zip.

I know but when selecting the install from zip the error comes.

Which recovery do you use?
Are you S-OFF? If yes, change to another recovery via fastboot.
S-off and clockworkmod 5.0.2.0, the original SD-card works fine.

Check a different recovery anyway, to find out if it's the SD card or the recovery.
I will do that

Another recovery did the trick

This recovery (5.0.2.0) did caused errors with me, too.
Which one have you flashed now?
I flashed to RMD recovery v 1.0.3.4 and so far no problem.

Error Mounting SD card- HTC Desire
Hi Guys,
I rooted my HTC desire few days ago and I tried to install LeeDroid HD with A2SD ROM with couple of addons through ROM Manager. And then when it installed and the phone rebooted I am getting the white screen with HTC logo folled by black screen with Android written on it. And it just stuck there.
When I started the phone into clockwork recovery mod and started to backup and restore it gives me an error E:/ Cant' mount/sdcard. Now I am stuck and need your help.
Please tell me how do I get rid of this problem and install another ROM and save my phone. A step by step guide would be really appreciated as I am new to this.
Thanks!

So my suggestion is: flash a recovery like philz 5.15.9 via fastboot, enter recovery, mount the phone as external mass storage, copy there the zip of a rom, wipe data to install new rom, reboot to bootloader, flash boot.img from the rom via fastboot (erase cache before and after flashing boot.img) then enter recovery flash the rom zip and choose wipe in aroma... Then should be ok... Ask here for further infos

Critical HTC One X - No Software

Hi!
Today I flashed the CM 10.2.1 ROM to my Htc one x and it did work but i accidentally got the wrong gapps. Now I want my old stock back and I had saved a Nandroid backup and when i was going to restore it worked, but when i rebooted the phone hanged on the HTC One logo.
CID: HTC_102
Mainver: 4.18.401.2
I need a Nandroid backup for this, cause I can't reach my own from the internal one x SD card..
Or can I use a RUU?
Thanks!

I haven't find any ruu that fits for my HTC, CID: HTC_102 and vers. 4.18.402.1
There is no ruu ! Flash a recovery that lets you mount the sdcard (philz 5.15 for example) go to the backup folder and copy out the boot.img and recovery.img
Flash the boot.img
Flash the recovery.img
and perform a full wipe in recovery and restore, reboot......and done !

Trying that now. Btw, why could I restore to the nandroid backup thru CWM before I installed a new ROM, but now I can't anymore, seems like it's broken or something. Because everytime I press restore, it's restoring and when I reboot it directs me to the CWM recovery again..?
Sure you did a full wipe before you restore it ? Sure you flashed back the recovery from the nandroid backup ?
Otherwise go here

There are many 4.18.401 nands.....

Yes I did.
I can't use a nandroid backup with a different CID, right? I got HTC_102 and the only one there is 3.18. My mainver is 4.18
You can use any 4.18, but the 3.18 works too. If you restore the 3.18 and flash back the 3.18 stock recovery you can update again via ota !
Edit :
If you decide to use a different cid nand then you need at least one ota to pull the cid right.

Now there's only one thing left. I don't got battery in my phone, i charged it over the night but it doesn't have any battery still. I'm using CWM 5.8.2.7 recovery, so I know that's the prob. But how do i fix it if I can't even flash a new recovery?
You have to run a batt batch script from your fastboot folder.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/aaah8gqz8j024xz/Batt script.bat
Put the phone in the bootloader and execute the script with admin rights, it will continuously reboot the phone and charge it little by little. If it reaches 3700 mv you flash the philz recovery and charges the batt more in there because it supports charging inside recovery

Yes, I got 3555mV now..
Errors in the .bat:
getvar:battery-voltage FAILED
ping /n 6 localhost 1>nul --> ping is not an internal command etc.
Can't run it as an admin (wrong folder)
Is it rebooting the phone constantly ? Right click the batt script and select run as administrator

Now I flashed philz recovery; Format partition SOS done
I erased the cache
I rebooted the phone into bootloader, selected recovery and then it hangs itself on the HTC 'Quientlly brilliant' logo.
I tried also just starting the phone, it returned to the CWM recovery..
ALWAYS fastboot erase cache after flashing anything, recoveries and boot.img files. Then let it charge more in the recovery. So you don't get stuck in the charging issue situation again !
What you can do is look for Mike's 4.18 rom thread. Install that as a normal custom rom and flash back the stock recovery too which can be found in the OP of the rom thread.
Done

[Q] HTC One X help with Custom Roms

hello i would like to know witch is the best roms to use on my
HTC One X
Android Ver: 4.2.2
HTC Sense Ver: 5.0
Software Number: 4.18.206.4
HTC SDK API Level: 5.41
Kernel Ver: 3.1.10-g7f360be
I have tried to look for one but i can only find ones for 4.18.401.2
You mean you want to go back to the original stock rom ? In that case you need a nandroid backup. Check the collection of nandroid backups in the general section if there is one available. You also should have made one yourself.
If you want to use a custom rom you can use any of the ones available.
And to point out for the "best" rom....it does not exist, try a few and see for yourself if the rom fits you or not.

i want a custom rom on i have tried to put one on but it just gos back to the same rom i have now
Depends on what you did. This is how you have to do it :
- Unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery
1: Flash the boot.img from the new rom
2: make a full wipe in the recovery
3: install the rom
4: reboot
If it boots back to the original you definitely forgot something

Oke ....
Flash this recovery if you havent got it already on it
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yqzlpqo8illa53j/Philz recovery 5.15.9.img
Enter it and do this :
Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Advanced - wipe dalvik cache
Mounts and storage - format cache, data and system
Install the rom and choose in the aroma installer CACHE WIPE ONLY.
Let the installer run and reboot
Assuming you flashed the boot.img correctly.
And give the first boot some time, it takes longer than normal (about 5-7 minutes tops)

Hmm well all the things in the phone are matching the needed criteria, the recovery i gave you, your hboot, the rom and how to install it. It should not be a problem unless there is a hardware/memory access problem somewhere.
Try another rom the way i described the steps.

HTC One X Probelm

So i have an HTC One X for about 4 months now, ive decided to try cyanogen mod i liked it at the beggining but then i decided stock rom wuld be better, but now i found myself with a huge problem or so to say problems, 1st of all i cant seem to find the right RUU for it
im CID 102
and Main - Ver 4:18:401:4
its really a pain, since i literally cant acess its storage since it haves no ROM now, it haves cwm installed, and ive tryed installing a nandroid backup which worked but the touchscreen is not working.
any solutions? ideas? im completely stuck,
my phone is S-ON RL
and its Unlocked
Did you flash the boot image from the nandroid backup? try that first. Or Put another rom on by connecting phone to pc and mounting the storage from cwm and copying the rom over. And flash the boot image from the rom in fastboot

mounting the storage via cwm wotn work, it wont detect the storage on my pc, and yes i have all the required drivers for the phone installed, so i cant directly copy a custom ROM or even a Stock one thru dat method, and yes ive flashed the boot.img that was contained in the nandroid backup.zip folder
Try another usb port for the cable and wait a few minutes when you plug it in, I have known it sometimes take 3 or 4 minutes to find the storage on some pc's
