[Q] Stuck On Loading Screen; Unable to install different roms - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi guys! So today, I was updating my phone for cyanogen mod 11, and when the phone rebooted, it got stuck on the robot. I decided to go to recovery mode an perform a factory reset but even that isn't working. I still get directed to the same load screen. I tried flashing a different ROM but the installation always gets aborted.
ex.

set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error in /sdcard/Quantum v3.zip

before flashing the rom i wiped the data, wiped the cache, and wiped the Dalvik cache. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You need to have the latest TWRP or CWM to install KK ROMs from recovery mode.

If you're flashing Quantum you need the d2att version of TWRP, not the d2can version. I assume you have a Canadian phone although you didn't say in your post. Also, you should be wiping system as well as data/cache/dalvik.

Unable to install system software update from htc.com

Hi
Wondering if someone has had a similar experience, I hope you can assist.
I'm Unable to install an automatic system software update from htc.com on my rooted Desire with Froyo 2.2
Update was successfully downloaded and starts to install, progress bar reaches the 25% mark than the phone goes into root mode with the message;
ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.7
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Otherwise the phone works just fine.
Any input would be appreciated.

Disable verification and try again!
It should work!

[Q] Help! Issues with Installing CM6

I was on CM 6.1.2 for a while, then decided to start using the CM7 nightlies from Rom Manager, then wanted to go back to 6.1.2 so I could have my camera back (I have hardware 0004), I used Caulkin's Format All .zip in Clockworkmod 2.5.0.1 to wipe everything out, then went to install 6.1.2 from my SD Card and kept receiving an error stating:
assert failed: write_raw_image ("/tmp/boot.img", "boot")
E:Error in /sdcard/update-cm-6-2.1.2-Supersonic-signed.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I tried restoring from several nandroids and it keeps giving me message:
Checking MD5 sums...
Erasing boot before restore...
Restoring boot image...
Error while flashing boot image!
When I try to boot my phone, it just stays on the "HTC Evo" white screen.
What can I do??? Even if I have to return to a stock rom I'm fine with redoing root, etc, I just don't know what to do from here! Any ideas??

[Q] Not able to update my HOX to 4.18.401.2

Hi all,
Today my phone notified me there was an update available for my device, 4.18.401.2, which included stuff like Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5. I went ahead and downloaded it and my phone prompted me to install it. I hit the button and the phone rebooted, but to my surprise it went into CWM and came up with the following error:
Finding update package...
E: unknown volume for path [INTERNALSDCARDownload/OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_50_S_HTC_Europe_4.18.401.2-3.20.401.1_release_3302999mwn06o7zbi85sv7.zip]
E: Can't mount INTERNALSDCARDownload/OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_50_S_HTC_Europe_4.18.401.2-3.20.401.1_release_3302999mwn06o7zbi85sv7.zip
Installation aborted.
So, I tried to manually install the .zip in CWM:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
> Install untrusted package? > Yes
Installing update...
assert failed: check_cid(getprop("ro.cid"), <bunch of 0000000001111111111122222222222222333333333333334444444444444" and CID's> == "t"
E: error in OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.20.401.3-3.20.401.1_release_31823765m022e6p4w085de.zip (Status 7)
Installation aborted.
On some website I read this:
Just make sure your phone already runs with 3.20.401.3, likely if you are still on 3.20.401.1 you might encounters install error via CWM custom recovery. Install this first.
(sorry, can't post URL here because I don't have 10 posts yet.)

So I went ahead to try and install that using CWM too:

I really don't know what to do now...

Great, today I flashed the stock recovery and tried to install the update and the phone just COMPLETELY wiped itself. Even the SD-card...
How is this possible?

When I upgraded to 4.2.2 everything was wiped too.
1) It DOES warn you that you may lose ALL DATA, including SD. READ the install notes. They are there for a reason.
2) On that basis I backed up everything. Hope you did.

Flashing ROM In CWM Aborts

I'm trying to flash 4.4.4 onto my Wildfire S and before flashing it I added and removed .apk files and changed the bootloader image so that I could customise it to my liking. The problem I've got is that I get the following message on my modified ROM
E: footer is wrong
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Of course this only occurs on the modified ROMS. When I use the developers original ROM everything is fine.
Any help will be appreciated

How did you guys install TWRP again?

I'm on stock 4.3 and decided to flash a custom ROM again on this phone. But.. I can't find a recovery for this device on stock anymore. I can't download CWM recovery for stock (just kept popping up with ads and never downloading the recovery file :/ ). So I went ahead and downloaded the RR ROM and extracted the boot.img out of it and flashed it in and boot into the Android Recovery (was expecting at CM recovery tho, it just says "Android Recovery" at the top left corner). Thought I could install the ROM from there, but no :
-- Install /storage/6FCB-1A04/<theROM>.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E: failed to map file
E: Error exit from the fuse process : 0
Installation aborted.
Also, there's a periodic spam of " E: failed to find /misc partition"
Idk where else I haven't search, I even tried fastboot flash boot twrp.img
That booted into recovery but the touch isn't working somehow. What did you guys do?
