Ask in the thread where you got the ROM? That version is extremely out dated and the device isn't supported by the team in any way

[Q] upgrade from cyanogen to android revolution

Hi
I followed some very helpful guides on here previously and installed CyanogenMod 6.1
I have been reading that there have been new radio releases and various kernels that have helped with battery life (mine is poor despite low light, BT off, wifi off) and poor signal (worse than my Magic).
I have been overwhelmed by the various radios out there and their compatibility with the ROMs. Some radios seem to have caused more problem than benefit. On top of that there was an issue that if you had S-off i shouldnt update?!?!
So my question is: If I want to update my Radio and ROM to get the benefits of better signal and battery life which ROM/Radio/Kernel combo should I try? Im thinking the : [ROM] Android Revolution HD 2.0.8 | High Quality & Performance | O/C | Sense/no-Sense http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040

Do a complete wipe and download the Rom.
Install the Rom and setup.
Download the one click radio s-off app and follow the instructions.
Flash the recommend radio for the Rom.
Download and flash the buzz kernel if you wish to use it.
After that you will be up to date.
Good luck

What is this ROM, is it good? What ROM should I use if i Want to put stock HTC rom.
You're using maXimus v2.0. Thread for that ROM is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24894142
As to whether it's any good, try it out. Try out some others, see what you like. If you want to go back to stock there's plenty of guides floating about: you'll have to find them yourself though because it's a hassle getting links to multiple threads on the Tapatalk app and I've got a cat sleeping peacefully on my stomach that I don't want to wake up so I can't get up to the computer. Sorry.
Also, you've posted this in the wrong place but it'll be moved shortly so don't worry about that.

Wrong place to put it m8.
Anyway, your phone is running a custom rom called maximus V2.0, with stock kernel and based on 2.05xx leak.
First of all you shouldn't be asking questions here. This is the android development section, you should ask your questions on 'One X Q&A'. Please read the rules first.
Your phone is running 'maXimus V2.0' rom. Every ROM is good. Try different roms and decide which one is best for you.
You will find stock roms here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543604
Flash the appropriate one. But I think you should have your 'Unlock_code.bin' if you want to use custom roms in future.
And a little advise, do not do anything if you don't know what you are doing, why you are doing, and what you will do next

About to sell HTC Desire. How do I make it as close to stock as possible?

So, as the title states, how do I make it as close to stock as possible? A couple of years since I was in the Desire rooting game so I'm a little out dated.

it's not really an answer to your question, but i sold my desire a week ago via ebay, and i made it clear, that there's 4.0.4 installed right now, and it really works great and everything's smooth. i made it clear that HTC themselves never supported the desire for 4.0.4, and that's what people got interested in the auction via ebay. at the end, i got around 145 EUR for a more than 2 year old device. the new owner mailed me the other day and he's as happy as i was. so depending on where you plan to sell it, you won't have to go back to stock, but of course it's your decision. and also, it's a matter of warranty, which i didn't have anymore after 2 years
good luck.

If you really want to get it back to stock, flash alpharev downgrade via fastboot and run 2.3 RUU from your PC.
You will get s-on and unrooted device with latest software that HTC released.
Thanks for both your replies.
horst0815: Which ROM did you flash? That sounded really interesting
nlooooo: Thanks, will check how the phone runs with ICS, if it's not that good I will downgrade it
Are currently running LeeDroid HD V3.3.3 Gingerbread 2.3.3 and it's GSM by the way.

if ur planing on selling the phone with custom rom on it, imo i would put something alot more rock solid/stable on it rather than ICS. Also i personaly would do what nlooooo says and put it completly back to stock/s-on that way whoever buys the phone cant come back to u if they do something to it. let them s-off & root it themselfs.

as far as rock solid goes: i made fantastic experiences with mildwild 4.3 final. it doesn't get any more stable than that. here's the link
as far as my ics version goes, i used sandvold's ics from here

yh i used that rom for a while, never 1 problem, same as OxyZM1.2, both pretty much the same and oxygen based. but yh the obvious choice would CM or oxygen. but id put it s-on coz the last thing ya want is some f****r ringing ya saying the phone just stopped working (when really they were messing with it) lol

I think I'd like to get a sense ROM, cause sense is more user friendly, maybe not for us but for less experienced people. Which should I choose then?

[Q] Is my Desire Rootable??

Background..
I'm not an expert, but I have root 5-7 different founds since the birth of the original HTC EVO.
I bought this HTC Desire from someone and using it on AT&T with no issues.
I believe it's an HD version.
Hardware
Memory 768mb
Display 4.3 inch
Main Camera 8m
But I am trying to root the phone to change the rom and install Titanium backup and more..
I've read a lot of different rooting methods over the past 5 days..
OneClick doesn't support the Desire HD.
Trying Ace Root Tool.. But running into some issues...

Have you read the whole OP at the Ace Root Tool thread?? It tells you what to do if your build is not supported.

There was a guide on xda - Advanced Ace Hack Kit (AAHK) but its not there now, I believe its still available on google somewhere. Thats what I use, mine only had sense 2.1 on it when I got it, and tbh I would think the guides thatvare here should work fine, its not one of the newer models, they came with sense 3 stock

Advising to use a retired tool is dangerous. the Hack Kit works flawlessly if you know what you are doing. Otherwise you might get stuck and without support you can regret it in the big way. He should use the current supported tools until he is aware of the risk he is taking.

That is just for devices running Sense 3.0. For a Sense 2.1 running Gingerbread 2.3.3 the Hack Kit should work fine with the files included in the folder. However, the risk of getting stuck is big not being aware of what the process involves.
Thanks for the information guys...
And yes, I understand.. Rooting is always a risk....
Sorry about misinterpreting my Build number..
I thought 2.3.3 worked on all these Root hacks.. But I realize now that 2.3.3 is not the build number..
Hoping to figure this out soon.. Now to start searching and doing some more reading..
This worked for me..
I know I was taking a chance.. But I only paid $30.00 for the phone and it didn't seem like a bad idea..
Found the following comment from glevitan ****** Use at your own risk *******
The Hack Kit downgrades the firmware if your OS version is above 2.3.3...and yes, the HTC update is in their site in .exe file...just run it and done!
get it here: http://dl3.htc.com/application/htc_inspire4g_att_RUU_3.20.502.52_US.exe
Worked like a charm...
Than used the Easy Ace Root Tool to seal the deal...
Now to comb the ROM's to see what I want...
