i am using low battery mode.(second option). when i activated stamina battery is finishing so faster. i couldnt understand. for example from night to morning %20 using battery.. with just second option %2-3 .
and i am gonna look for greenify. looks good.
can you suggest a cpu controller ?
You can't control CPU with the stock kernel. Something is really wrong, check running processes, something may be running constantly in background...
I've a solution which you could try....
Root is must
#First convert fb app to user app via titanium backup
#add it to list of greenify
#keep stamina mode on I am getting 1 day backup easily

I have noticed there are so many battery saving apps on the Playstore but do you have any reccomendations for a good one

Just install greenify. I have tried plenty before I had Note II, they've had little effect and I often had issues with many of them. If needed use power saving mode + greenify. Why, are you getting crappy battery life?
If your rooted install Redpill Kernel no need of any apps ,
Again for Greenify you need root but this is also suggested app ,
If your not rooted , You could try Juice Defender Ultimate from Playstore.
I'm not actually the battery life on the Note II is very good probably one of the best out there on a mobile phone, was just enquiring

Yes just use greenify and maybe fast dormancy toggle for disable it. It was the 2 best thing for a rooted device i done.

All these apps are a bit useless to be honest. The most important thing is just to set your brightness manually, enable/disable all the functionalities like GPS/W-FI/BlueTooth etc only when needed. Also setting your mail-account to sync once in the 2/3 hours, instead of 15 minutes helps alot also. If you are rooted, you could also remove some Samsung/Android Apps that basically do nothing apart from using battery.
A app to close the processes of application will help also. But if you want to try a battery-save app. JuiceDefender Ultimite for Rooted Users, GreenPower Premium for non-rooters.
Greenify.
You won't need anything else.

What does juice defender except turning off the data when screen is off ? If it's only that you can also do it manually.
Greenify is useful for lot of user and app which use data or process even if you disable synchro like facebook.

i installed greenify the other day and hibernate fb. but it was draining my battery when the phone was supposed to be sleeping. i then removed it and its back to normal.
just my 2 cents. xD

I was so lazy to say this. Good thing. Thanks!
Well another point of these Battery-Saving apps. They could make your phone unstable. You can set manually the sync times for Facebook, E-mail , Weather Apps etc. Greenify works pretty good. It is basically a program to put the processes on the background on hold. When you use that application , it restores fast the proces (where it was). Handy for FB etc yes. Although sometimes you can see a small delay (hick-up) when you open a app that was Greenified.

If i have 2g on, i barely lose battery when the phone is in deep sleep. when i leave the phone at nite and wake up in the morning i lose like 1% or 2% max. but with greenify every time i was leaving the phone in deep sleep, i was losing like 2% per hour.
i will try uninstall greenify
Ok looks like Greenify will only work with rooted phones so looks like I cannot use it

greenify instead stamina
I personally doesn't think that it matters or does something really good...
you may instead use Greenify App
have heard a many people using it and getting very good results..
Here is the play store link.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify&hl=en :good:
i think greenify is not enough to save energy thats why i need stamina mode for my device >.<
Extended Standby Mode = Stamina. So you already have it. LOL
Ok then you have to wait in that case...
Or instead use greenify or any other app till then

or some developers can include it in to thier rom so that we, the users will no longer have to flash it separately. i really hope somebody can do it
@slink722
No, the Greenify is really an awesome app. You can put all downloaded apps on hibernation thats why those apps can't run @ background and which definitely improves battery backup.
I am using it since 4 months, i haven't got any troubles yet, i tried flashing the stamina mode also, but i couldn't get remarkable difference. You can get stamina mode @ themes and apps section. But i suggest you to use Greenify!
All d best

@pracas ok mate i will try it while the stamina mode for xs/xsl is still WIP (working in progress)
The thing is that Greenify does a different job than Stamina, which is also an improved, but not the same as Extended Battery Mode.
Greenify hibernate apps so they dont use your RAM neither your battery. Stamina improves battery usage, and turns off data for all apps, except the ones you set. Extended Battery mode just completely turns off data or WiFi connection and turns it on from time to time to receive notifications..
yes your right @Felimenta97 that's why i really want stamina mode for my device coz it really does a greater job than Extended Battery Mode or greenify

Sometimes I really wonder the difference between the real stamina and the extended standby mode
does real stamina just give u an option to pick which app to stamina it?
actually they work in the same way, or something more??

This is probably happening because the apps installed might have permissions to get activated with "Connectivity Changed" or "Wi-fi state changed".
A LOT of apps use Connectivity Changed permission, if you are facing lags specifically when you are switching your Wi-fi on, you should look at apps Android Tuner or Autostarts which let you alter specific permissions for each application. Personally I prefer Autostarts because it is specifically made for this. It's clean and easy to use, but make sure you know what you are altering when you are disabling permissions because it might cause limited use for an app (for example, limiting Connectivity Change for messenger would limit you getting your notifications on time).
Safer and less technical alternative for this would be Greenify which lets you hibernate the apps and limit their activating permissions.
Greenify : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155737
Autostarts : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.elsdoerfer.android.autostarts
Android Tuner : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32103786
Before you try this, make sure you have tested if this is happening when you are simply on a clean ROM/firmware with no additional apps installed, because then it might not be because of multiple app triggers.

you can use scripts like fly on mod or crossbreeder or pure performance to increase performance
or more simple install no frills cpu from playstore and set cpu governor to performance to see any change in speed
also use the last tip if you have no battery problem cos it will give speed but suck the juice
good luck :good::good:

Turn off auto brightness and leave it at like 50%
Turn of vibration for keyboard and touches
Underclock the CPU
Turning of sync and hibernating apps you dont use with greenify
I have fantastic battery life from my phone. I have tasker set up so that autosync only activates when the phone is charging. I also used Titanium Backup to freeze or remove apps I don't use. I even looked at the Running Apps part to further improve the things I could freeze. I routinely get 24 hours out of my One.
Speaking of battery saving, what is the best kit Kat ROM for battery life?
Hello,
From the last 2-3 days my phone's battery life reduced by 4-5 hours. Upon checking I found that Android OS is taking a lot of battery (Image attached). I have just a couple of sync settings on. Its also keeps the CPU awake. Please suggest any way to stop this.
Thanks
