[Q] [URGENT] Hanged on Bootloader what to do - HTC One X

Hi,
I just became stupid again. I got my phone hanged upped on BOOTLOADER. after trying "fastboot oem writecid HTC__044"
i got this message.
(bootloader) elite_init_sd, SD card already power on
(bootloader) sdhw_7xxx_open: id=0
(bootloader) [SD_HW_ERR] SD: No device attached
(bootloader) 902910 902E20
FAILED (status read failed (No such file or directory))
finished. total time: 1.273s
I noticed its hanging now, I did this with unlocked bootloader
how do i know if this is still workable? how can I get out of the bootloader. I promise not to do anything stupid If i get passed after this :crying:

You can't write a cid on a s-on hox !

[Q] Back to Stock HTC One X

Ok so, I decided the custom rom thing I was doing was getting boring so I wanted to get back to my stock rom. Y'know, htc one x, 4.2.2 Sense 5 that all cool stuff.
I got instructions and I tried my best in the following order.
Getting fastboot
putting boot and recovery in fastboot
flashing them and erasing cashe
relocking bootloader and erasing cashe
booting to fastboot mode again
starting RUU exe
now the RUU exe had a problem. I did a fastboot getvar cid to find i needed the following: CID HTC__J15
from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
now that thread linked me to a .rar file that didn't have an exe file in it so i was super confused.
So i googled and i found this file:
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_ARA_1.29.415.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260742_signed.exe
(^I lost the link lol, but thats the file name)
which matched what i needed. I think.
When i ran that, it said I had the wrong RUU for that device. Do i? I'm not really sure. Can someone link me to the right one?
Problem is also that I can't get past the bootloader screen now. Turning it off and on just brings me back to the bootloader.

Only way to go back to stock rom is a nandroid backup. Ruu does not exist with that number.
I am hosting one here
Nandroid backup HTC__J15 - 4.20.415.rar - 614.05 MB
Flash the recovery.img AND the boot.img from the nandroid backup. Then mount the sdcard in the recovery and unpack the .rar file to the designated path.
Probably clockworkmod\backup\time and date folder\nand backup files in img and tar files etc etc
Then make a full wipe in the recovery (wipe ALL you can EXCEPT the sdcard)
Then restore the nand.

Are you UNLOCK your bootloader via htcdev.com?
Yeah it's locked or relocked
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
In the first step I said I relocked my bootloader cause it was a step I read in a tutorial to go back to stock. It says ***RELOCKED*** on top.
Unlock it.......
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
ok this is really annoying. my phone cant complete unlocking the bootloader cause its battery is too low. i put it on charge for 2 hours and its still low cause i cant turn the screen off or turn the phone off. When i turn the phone off without the charger, it stays off, but as soon as i put it in, it turns on. Ughhh
Use the batt script in fastboot mode to charge the battery
https://www.dropbox.com/s/aaah8gqz8j024xz/Batt script.bat
Phone in fastboot mode, script in fastboot folder and execute it with admin rights !

.-. nvm it got stuck when when i chose recovery in bootloader
Got stuck how ?
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
when i go into recovery (i tried with rom manager too) it stops at the HTC screen
Fastboot flash the recovery.img from the nand backup. Also do :
Fastboot erase cache
After the recovery.img flash !
P.s. ditch rommanager ....it's useless on the hox !

[Q] HTC ONE V sim unlock

Is there a way to sim unlock my htc one v?
I've unlocked the bootloader, rooted the device, put it on s-off, installed CyanogenMod Android 4.1.2, kernel version 3.0.16-HELLBOY; i flashed the kernel and rom; i tried to upgrade the ruu but it returned me the error 131 which reffered to some incompatibility ruu, even tho it was the most appropiate one.
another thing i tried was to hack into the mmcblk0p6 and take the un_lock_code but the unlock.sh returned me this error:
[email protected]:/ # IMEI:
[email protected]:/ # UN_Lock_code:
[email protected]:/ # /system/unlock.sh[34]: + + : unexpected 'end of expression'
my radio is 3831.19.00.120. The network is locked on O2, UK. I've tried a lot of things, but nothing worked.
Can you help me guys?
Thanks in advance!

That depends on what fastboot commands your hboot supports. If you have an eng hboot you can remove simlock with fastboot. But I cannot remember the command off hand. Connect up to the pc in fastboot mode and issue the.command fastboot oem h and it will output all the options available. Post them here for us all to learn from please

I would use these 2 sets here. First make a nandroid backup, just incase
Then issue these fastboot commands one after another and copy the results.
Fastboot oem readcid
Fastboot oem readsimlocktype
All good? Now first we want to change your cid to super. So issue this command
Fastboot oem writecid 11111111
Fastboot reboot bootloader
Fastboot oem readcid
Your cid should now show up as 11111111, that's 8 1's
All good? Lastly we issue these commands.
Fastboot oem clearsimlocktype
Fastboot reboot
Now just check your simcard and all should be well you can now flash any ruu for any carrier without issue, but always check its compatible with your model type first!

GSM problem/hardware problem
thanks heavy_metal_man for replies!
the config.dat file worked, partially i think, returning only one error: Open Cid file failed.
as i could see my phone does not react to find any mobile network available, even tho my phone is "reading" the simcard now. i can see contacts, messages, etc.
ps: i don't have the back cover. would that be the problem?

The back cover for these kinds of phones usually have "antenna boosting" pads. My htc sensation gets no signal without the back cover on.
For anyone else I would recommend trying the linked website solution from sieempi before fastboot commands

have you tried:
1) From a powered off state, hold VOLUME DOWN while powering on the device.
2) Use the volume buttons to scroll to FASTBOOT and then press the POWER button to select it.
3) Connect the device to the PC while in this state and attempt the ROM update again.

You have a USB connectivity issue, so this is probably the reason why fastboot oem lock does not work.
Make sure you run the command while the phone is booted into bootloader-fastboot mode.

HTC One M8 stuck in bootloader

I've got this phone for a while now but since i updated it to official marsmallow it's been stuck into bootloader. The phone is stock, still locked and S-ON. I've tried to unlock it so i can use a custom rom but when i do the official bootloader unlock from htc it goes all okay until it should promp me on the phone screen to confirm bootloader unlock, i can't find a way to make it work. I also tried to use the RUU but when it's rebooting my phone into bootloader (witch it is already) it doesn't reboot the phone goes stand by and the program stops. I the tried to get the zip RUU into an SD but the CID doesn't match since i got the Vodafone UK one so my cid is VODAP001 and i can't find the right RUU for this version. Can someome please help, i'm desperate.
I've tried to use the RUU.zip file from cmd using comand fastboot oem rebootRUU bur it gives me this message:

Yeah I had to send it to support since it had a hardware problem with the memory ( I've pinpointed the problem to the ROM) if you your warranty is expired maybe you should try replacing the motherboard

You have the same sector/emmc errors? Of you just have the problem of stuck in bootloader? Those are two very different things. With the second one being quite possibly fixable.
You need to be specific if you want any meaningful help. Saying you have the "same issue" is never sufficient for folks to give help; and is just going to end up confusing you and others.
Assuming it is not a hardware emmc failure, and you want some direction, please provide the following:
- If you know how, do fastboot getvar all, and post the results (delete IMEI and serial number before posting).
- If you don't know how to do fastboot, what OS number and radio number does it say on the phone's bootloader screen?
- Bootloader locked or unlocked?
- Any other mods (TWRP, custom ROM, etc.).
- What events led to the current condition? Did you try to flash something, or update OS? Or just happened spontaneously?
- Exact names/version numbers of files you installed, or tried to flash.
The more detail you can give, the better.

no it doesnt... the battery icon comes up and then boot loop starts again...
Since you're in Qatar, you're probably on the 401 software. Did you get a software update in the last 2-3 weeks?
If not, download this: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24686681827312455
Relock your bootloader (fastboot oem lock), and flash this RUU (fastboot flash zip "name of zip").
If you got the recent update, then you're likely on 1.95, and you'll have to wait until there's an RUU, or take it to a service center.
This is as much help as I can give. Good luck.
I wouldn't lock the bootloader until you know your device fully boots.

The 401 RUU zip won't flash on unlocked. This has been documented and I have gone through it myself. Do you have any alternate suggestions?
Why wouldn't you lock without a working system? My understanding is that unlocking via HTCdev would still be possible.
I tried dear but its not locking bootloader

You need to be in download mode then use the getvar all command. All fastboot commands are done in downlaod mode. How are you trying to flash RUU?
I am unable to use download mode..it says download mode failed in red

You'll need a service center.
Yes. Service center. I don't think it's a brick since there's still a boot process but at this time I also wouldn't know how to force it to flash stuff, since it seems at least one vital partition is broken. So, call it a semi-brick with currently no way out...
Sorry that I can't offer any help here...

Is the correct HTC driver showing in device manager? Are you in white bootloader or download mode?
Your phone is behaving just like one with a mismatched hosd and aboot would. There's a specific way to fix it. That firmware zip you would need to flash aboot and hosd by name/partition. Unzip it and flash using
Htc_fastboot flash hosd hosd.img
Htc_fastboot flash aboot aboot.img
Htc_fastboot reboot-bootloader
Check to see if you have download mode back.

Interesting facts there, mate. Thought you retired. Obviously I'm much more retired than you, considering I never knew HOSD is directly flashable like aboot...
Good to see you around!
(Besides, is it a true story that you retired? People were telling me that...)
