You need to uninstall SuperSU if you were rooted before installing cyanogenmod, as CM comes with another superuser app... SO go into your apps find superSU and uninstall it

You lose installed apps, settings that you set when you started the phone, WiFi, wallpaper, texts/phone log, contacts
If you pick to back up to Google when you first set up the rom you can restore all the above apart from texts and call logs.

which root package you installed? can you provide a link to it?
first check you have root access successfully or not through Root checker.....Then Install Superuser from playstore.
Try installing the super su version and deleteing the other superuser and in settings of the supersu check and or click on install to system or system app and it will install it as a system app and probably won't disappear

It's the apps that you're using that are fault.
Basically, Kitkat has had some code changes and the apps need to be updated to detect the external-SD and function correctly in 4.4 ROMs.
So any third-party app that you are installing from GooglePlay that is not detecting your sdcard, you will have to wait for the app dev to update it or find a different app for it.

Read what I wrote again. All apps that were working fine on ICS, JB etc need to be updated if they can't detect your sd card before they can be used on Kitkat.
There is no "good idea" in reading your sd card, the developer of the application needs to update his application so it can be used on Kitkat.

Well, a very simple question, but one which is bugging me.
My phone has kitkat and is rooted.
So, how do I remove the unnecessary System apps preloaded in the firmware? Link2sd, Titanium Backup Pro, and NoBloat free are some of the apps which I've tried. They are NOT working.
I've even tried using root explorer to delete the system apps, but I kitkat is not allowing me to mount system to read-write mode. I use fx file explorer.
Any type of help would be appreciated.

Tried it. Not working
Ps - Can it be a problem with my rooting method? Here's what I did---
-> Flash a 4.3 kernel which has recovery.
-> Boot into recovery and flash SU binary zip file.
-> Flash the original 4.4.2 kernel and boot into system.
I trierd root checker and it shows I have root access. Greenify works perfect too.
Here's a screenshot of the error link2sd shows when I try to uninstall Sketch app.

Hello if you are new
Basically Xpera M doesn't have that option sadly
You can root via Towelroot.
Here is a link
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5lx7uvky1tl2mrq/tr.apk
(Not my work)
After you root you can install GltoSd and mount the game/app data to an SD card
Hope I helped.
