Hi sorry for being a big noob but I really need your help guys. I was having low memory issues on my desire so I sucessfully rooted today. I also install the AceS007-3d stable Rom from the developers section and successfully flashed that. It says that I need a sd card with a partition to move apps to ad. I have a 4gb sd card with a 2gb ext2 partition. But when I install an app it still is on the internal memory! the apps should move to the sd card shouldn't they? What do I need to do for them to move? Please help!! Thanks
I don't think you understand how it works fully. Read the root memory faq available via my signature

Hello.
I install Cm 7.1.0-1.1 Defy and after put some app tried to transfer on sd, with app2sd or through Manage applications from settings/applications, -Failed to move application. There is not enough storage left.- but on my card(Kingston-8g-class6) I still have arround 3.5g free. I changed sd with another 16g class 8 empty and same notice. Both cards work fine with Nexus One Cm7. Any ideea? Thank you!
Hi!
I have the same issue, so I wonder if you have found a solution?
Hey hope somebody can solve this problem
I bought a new 7 GB SD card for my Wildfire not so long ago and saved most of my apps from the phone accross to it. All was fine for a while until my phone alerted me saying that it was low on storage space. On checking the memory card I noticed that I still had well over 6 GB of free space. All the apps that I checked are saved onto the SD card and some don't give an option to be moved to SD card. This is also stopping me from downloading new apps and also all the apps I have wont update as it says there is no space, even though there is plenty.
My wildfire is NOT rooted and has the original HTC installed Android OS (Froyo 2.2.1)
I am planning on rooting the phone and putting on a custom ROM in the future but in the meantime I was wondering if there was a solution to this problem.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks, Wooster
When your deivce say that you are low on storage than it means that you don't have enough internal memory space left!
You cannot move many apps to your sd card because your device is not rooted.
I would recommend you rooting your device to solve that problem because then you can create custom mtd partitions and installing a2sd script (both can be found in development thread).
Thanks for the reply. I will just root the phone then today. Thanks for the help

Hello All,
I have rooted my WIldfire S , Is there any possibility that I can move all applications (not system apps) to SD card . This cell has has very low internal memory. Can we move FB app to SD card aswell ? If yes can anyone guide me ?
Thanks
I tried Link2SD and Data2SD but they sometimes hang the cellphone
P.S: Sorry if I created the Thread in wrong section
Data2SD does that.Int2ext too.Mounts2SD could do that also.
But you should not do that unless you have sdcard class 6, or higher.
hey guys,

Same Issue
I am facing the same issue. I have also tried a workaround. I have rooted my phone and now move most of the apps (except system ones) to the SD card. Still every time an app is updated it moves to the phone by itself and I have to move them over again. This is very annoying in case there are multiple apps requiring update and I cant update them all at once since after one of them updates, there is no more space. Is there any fix on this issue or maybe another workaround?? Any help is really appreciated. Thanks
I think the only solution is rooting the phone and making a partition in your SD card for apps, then all apps will install in that location without going to internal storage.
