[ROM][LB/UB][4.1.2] Android Open Kang Project

PREAMBLE
This is AOKP for locked bootloaders. Just to clarify, I'm not responsible for anything, neither for soft or hardbricked, nor for anything else.
Please, do not post feature requests or bug reports here, use DevDB instead, thanks.

just flash the rom ,, so far so good
but i have strange problem ,, every time i reboot the phone i have to get over the setup guid again and every thing from the beggining !!

Make a clean installation and make sure you are on a .96 ROM before you flash this. I have been using this ROM for a week now and I never faced this issue...

running for 3 days, no problems whatsoever !
only question is with the led, instead of lighting up and flashing, it remains lighten up... could this drain battery ? Don't think I notice any fast consumption, but...

This bug is present in all aosp(-derived) ROMs for LB. I will try to fix it when I find the time

Can you describe more ? I use task manager, usually to kill all apps, and had no problems.

he means when you some time touch one app from task manager , your phone don't work and freeze

No, not from me. I have built enough ROMs for the Sony Xperia S that I have to maintain and I'd say it's better to do this properly rather than "flooding" the development section with ROMs.

OK, can you explain why you choose a 4.1 rom, instead of 4.4?
(i'm currently on a smooth 4.2, but am curious)

Because this ROM is mainly for devices (like mine) with locked bootloaders and 4.2+ is not possible with LB. Oh and btw, there you have another reason: I can't test ROMs above 4.1 and OmniROM is really an exception.

Oh man its so nice of you to make aokp and cm work on LB for people who cant unlock theirs..i had this device but moved on..but yust had to say thanx cause i was so sad that it was 'impossible' to have cm&aokp with LB :thumbup:

As always, this ROM is not a ZIP-port, it has been compiled from source (see my sources).

Wifi does work for me... Make sure you use .96 kernel.

u test on lb or unlocked bl?maybe this bug is for lb...

My bootloader is locked (see my signature). If you guys want a proof, just check the screenshots (DevDB). You'll see that I was using the .96 kernel and that WiFi did work.

I like cm but wifi in my phone ( cm rom ) not work.

If WiFi doesn't work in CM then that explains everything. But no, I can't just share a TWRP backup of mine with you due to several reasons that I'm not going to elaborate on - it wouldn't work anyway.
Just flash a .96 FTF and then root, install CWM/TWRP and then flash my ROM. If it still doesn't work I can't help you, I'm sorry.

This rom is amazingly fast! Man,if you can solve the led issue and the automatic brightness that turns screen black,you'll be my new hero!

My wifi problem fixed with this :

I'm busy with school. Automatic brightness doesn't even work properly on stock, task manager problem is a known bug and too hard to fix.

That's not true... The Xperia S is still my main device (and will stay until May 2015), but I can't really "update" this ROM because 4.1.2 is just old and discontinued.
My builds can still be found on goo.im.

Latest Firmware Help

Hi ,
i wanted to ask what the latest firmware for the note 10.1 2014 is ?
I dont want 4.4 since it disables flash and i dont plan to root/flash yet... not until I find a method that doesnt void warranty ..
since im getting a new device
I read there was a performance update for wifi version ... is that 4.4 ? or 4.3.x ? .. need to know if i can do ota update or not.... wanna keep flash since I like my uc browser ... dolphin not so much ...
would like if you guys could write me how the perfomance is with the latest patch...
im a heavy user and dont appricate lags xD ..

I guess the latest update was ML1 and it is based on android 4.3. Performance is fine :thumbup:

Yeah I use clean rom which is based on ML1 and that was the latest firmware which was released from samsung it depends on the region you live in if you can take the update via OTA or if you have to flash it via Odin. Hope it helps more

same region as yours [germany] ... flashing original roms doesnt void warranty right if i remeber correctly ? could I in that case flash an older version too ? like 4.1.2 ... I actually dont see much imprevement with kitkat ... these latest updates only restrict more stuff....
with 4.3 u cant even read the battry statisctics without root -.- ... i like to keep a eye on that stuff ... that worked well without root until kitat came ...
i just want the latest 4.3 version wich includes perfomance update ... so I dont need root ... need my apps like schoner fernsehr and uc browser work properly....

Flashing official Samsung Stock roms won't void your warranty. Just unsigned firmwares or root/cutom recoverys will. This tablet was shipped with android 4.3 so: no you will not be able to flash an firmware which is based on 4.1.2 because there is none available The latest firmware version was ML1 as I said, the performance is good. Uc browser works very fast

Yes you can use these 2 browsers ... but you are basicly forced to use one of these ... i tested firefox on 4.4.2 it was laggy as hell ...dolphin was very fast but u need to download a hacked flashplayer for it to work.... other apks that use flash dont work at all ;(
well if i cant flash 4.1.2 guess there is no way around rooting in the near future.... ill give puffin browser a try ... but i guess it wont have such a good ui like uc browser for tablets has ... but i like the fact that it has flash 11.9 as it claims

Technically flash has been "disabled" for several versions of android. Adobe stopped supporting android some time ago. There are still major issues with security using flash, unfortunately Web has been slow converting , so flash is needed all over the Web. You could side load flash and use browser that still supports it. Some are better than others. When I read about puffin it was my impression it converted videos at their servicers. Which should help with flash security concerns. As to kk, I don't think I've seen anything that's it's somehow different than the last couple of versions of android. Certainly a possibility because google doesn't support flash on chrome.

One of the developers would have to bring it in line with the main Cyanogenmod source tree, which considering the age of our device and the many,many workarounds our tireless devs have employed to get Kit Kat running on the DHD, this would not be an easy task (and quite frankly would gain us very little for all that work). So yeah, don't hold your breath

There was no official cyanogenmod 9, 10 or 10.1 for our device either. It is a miracle we have unoffiical CM 11 builds.
I would have thought official CM9 was fairly possible though.

Does it matter, most official builds of cm11 are done by xda own developers that have gotten permission for cyanogenmod.inc to use their hosting servers. They aren't any more stable then the builds here. And the dev here now is perfect, one of the best devs I seen to get cm stable so quickly

It's a custom rom made by surdu_petru and it's just beautiful but you need to root your device and install a custom recovery...if you are intrested, just follow the guides in developments section

B510 is better than any custom ROM.

i'm kinda bored of cyanogen i had it 1 year on my galaxy s3 i would like the stock kitkat

It's stock EMUI KK and works pretty well. If you want stock ANDROID use OMNI ROM by surdu_petru it's the smoothest ROM for me if you like stock ANDROID.

That OMNI ROM it's not stock. It's custom, and doesn't even have the possibility to change the default storage. Don't mislead people.
