Ever wanted to go back from the "Ok Glass" prompt and hated using your hands to do so. I present you with OK Glass Nevermind. A simple app that returns you to the ok glass screen by saying Never Mind.

Hi Jimmy,
Your app works well. I am not sure if it is by design, that the NeverMind voice tag is the last in the "ok google voice commands list". This comes in very handy for my testing since when I install too many apps that make the "ok google voice commands list" grow close to 30 entries or higher, only the core voice commands such as "ok glass take a picture" work and "ok glass never mind" ceases to work. If I shrink the list by uninstalling a few apps to bring the "ok google voice commands listcount down to below 30 or so", then all is well and the "ok glass never mind" starts to function again.
Have you or anyone else on this thread faced such an odd issue? I am tempted to ask on the issues list https://code.google.com/p/google-glass-api/issues/list about a vocabulary limit size. I may ask anyhow

Hi guys,
I'm using SVOX Classic for TextToSpeech. When I use the navigation in Google Maps everything works fine. But after aber 3-4 minutes of navigation the damn voice starts to read some weblinks. And it starts to spell every single letter, point, backslash...everything. Does anyone have the same problem?
I have the same issue.
It reads the xml file that comes from google for the voice guidance...
ok, at least now I know what's the problem. Any suggestions how to deactivate?
You'll have to wait for Nuance to fix this bug. I send in a bug report to "[email protected]" a few days ago, haven't heard back since.
Yall are doing better than me! When I try to use Gnav, and some other apps, with SVOX I get the "you must have tts installed" error message then the app closes. But some other apps work fine with it.?

Thank you gokpog for that email address. I sent mine!

I have purchased grace and also it does not work. When I start some applications using SVOX, it ask me to install the language files, which is already installed....
It sucks

Ahhh, Grace With a little pitch editing she sounds smoking hot, sometimes I enter sexual phrases in the box for her to read.
Did I say that out-loud? LOL
serious side, I get the same issue...
they havent released an update for a while now. either they are clueless and cant include ics support or they dont seem to care since they have my money. the version currently on the market does not work with android 4.x
Still no reply from the devs. I guess its time to down rank and move on. Anybody know of a good alternative that works with ICS?
I still have to test the TTS engine with maps navigation, but IVONA seems like a good alternative (and its free while still in beta):
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.ivona.tts&feature=search_result
All languages: https://market.android.com/developer?pub=IVONA+Software
I'll update this post once I tested it with maps navigation.
Edit: works and the voice is so much better than the stock one, great alternative!
Can Someone please provide a link to the T mobile Visual Voicemail apk to install, The one in the market has Ads. I am looking for the previous version to the November 7th Release. The one without the ads.
Thanks
Goose

I strongly disagree.
What if you don't want google converting your voicemails to text and analyzing your messages (along with keeping track of what you search for, who you call, who (and what) you email, where you go, and what you buy)???
I'm sorry, but an app that lets you simply push a button and play a message without having to listen to audio prompts and remember was that 7 or 9 to save... This Visual Voicemail is simple and efficient and a thousand times less stressful than trying to use Page Plus Cellular voicemail where they seem to randomly choose whether you have to listen to old messages before you can hear the new ones (so frustrating).
Until there is a law passed making me the sole owner of data about ME which lets ME decide how and when companies can use data about me, I don't want to provide more than nesc. to companies like google.

I spent five minutes looking through the search resuts after clicking your link and did NOT find the .apk for the most recent version before that update. Now I have to see, if there is some way I can undo the "thanks" I pressed for you when I stupidly clicked thanks before checking the link you posted since I assumed you were being helpful and linking to the THREAD. Ugh, can't undo thanks.
I don't know really know where to start to respond to this, so here it goes
1) If you do not want Google to convert your voicemails to text, disable that.
If you want to disable voicemail transcriptions, follow these steps:
1.Click the gear icon at the top-right of any Google Voice page and click Voice settings.
2.Deselect the 'Transcribe Voicemails' option in the Voicemail tab.
3.Click Save Changes.
2) I'm sorry, but an app that lets you simply push a button and play a message without having to listen to audio prompts and remember was that 7 or 9 to save...
Google voice does this very well.
3) Until there is a law passed making me the sole owner of data about ME which lets ME decide how and when companies can use data about me.
Why in the world would we need a law for this!?!?! Just don't give your information out on the internet, it IS yours, you can decide who gets it.

Hello, everyone! I am brand new to Android development, and this is my first app. The idea is simple: scan a book's barcode (using an intent to the Barcode Scanner app), generate an MLA citation, export by whatever means you wish. I intent to add more features in the future. For now, I need my solid base functionality tested.
I'm bumping this because I really need testers.

I've tried it out, although I scanned only a couple of books.
After scanning screen goes black, when I presume the app looks for the title book, but I surely should present a spinning wheel or something. The first time, screen remained black, I had to press the back button to get to the app and have the pop-up.
Besides, when scanning another book, it simply crashed (for reference, it was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret, UK, adult version)
Anyway, the title recognition works fine
P.S: I think Android design guidelines recommend removing the dialog titlebar in this case
I'll give it a shot here soon. any specific tasks you want checked out?

Worked for the first book i scanned, asked for publishing location, gmailed it to myself.
Second book it scanned bar, black screen then force close. possible it's not gracefully failing a search?
tested on ATT S3 with 4.1.2
I also scanned my cigarettes and it said not a valid scan. wonder why
Gonna download it n test. :victory:

It is written not a valid code.
Not sure if this is already a known thing or not but I wanted to share my latest find.
You can install any apk onto your smartwatch! This works for any smartwatch on Android Wear. Now I won't take any credit for discovering this it all goes to the guy who posted the guide. I can't post links yet since I'm a new user but if you Google corbindavenport you should easily be able to find the guide.
In the guide there's a very detailed guide as to how to install any application, what you can and can't install and even links to apps that would add a lot of functionality to the phone like an app which rotates your other applications by setting their orientation and an app that keeps the watch on at all times or even lengthens the watch's on-time before it fades.
I've personally gotten the orientation app and temple run working on my watch. If you've already installed Microsoft's keyboard you should know what to do.
Here's to many more discoveries to come. I'm in love with this watch and it seems every day I find something new to add to the love.
Is this where you start?
http://corbindavenport.com/?p=167
Yeah, thanks for posting the link!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks to share. Finally I can set my watch to always on which in some sitution I need to show the nice watch face. And thanks much for Corbin to work it out and write very clear and detail instruction. Now I finally satisfied with my 360.
If you turn on watch always, battery will go down around 1% per minute. Just to share with others.
Since now can install any APP on watch, now I try to find a music app can work so I can push all local songs to watch to play. The google music player is not easy to control even can upload my own songs but not efficient. So far I tried different app none of them can run on watch. So if anyone fins one please let me know.

If you just want to keep the screen always on, you can download Swipify launcher from the play store, click on Quick Settings and click Screen Always On.
It actually works pretty well, because you can still turn the screen off manually (by covering with your palm), and it will automatically turn on when you look at it and stay on until you turn it off manually again...
Has this been patched with the latest Wear update? I'm trying to get this to work with my Note 4, and the part where you forward the adb to the watch
adb forward tcp:6666 localabstract:/adb-hub
adb connect localhost:6666

each command processes without errors but also no confirmation
after that the instructions suggest that doing adb devices will show the watch, but it doesn't on my end, only the phone still
so when I try to install the apk, it says "error: device not found"
so either the Note 4 is blocking this or the Wear update is

Did you enable USB debugging on your Note 4 and enable bluetooth debugging in the Android Wear app + watch itself? You could also try running 'adb kill-server' and try again.
Thanks for helping me realize I was an idiot. I totally skipped over the Enabling Debugging on the watch part. Seems to be installing now. It's been a good 5 minutes and this thing is still processing, rather than give me the error messages from before. Let's see if it works in the end
Not Working
Hello
Many thanks for postong however it does not work for me - I type adb forward tcp:6666 localabstract:/adb-hub and I get the message -
device unauthorized please check the confirmation dialog on your device

Thanks for the recommendation.
I have install ths apo before and never find out how to make always turn on works. After read your post I install again and finally find it is the first let icon in quick setting screen of it.
It works welk but the problem is this luncher always sometime crashed. So I maybe keep both solution. Since the screen on app installed by adb have one option can set.on time for how long which is nice.

Music App
I'm in no way affiliated with the app, but I found "Wear Music" on the app store (it is way down the list even when searching with the exact term) that is a standalone music player, and lets you transfer music to the Moto 360. Very well done app. It's a paid app though.

I am running cm12.1 on my HTC one m8, but have come into contact with a bug having to do with voice search on Google now. On the Google now launcher, the microphone on the search bar is hollow even when I have voice search enabled. Now, I've read many people's issues pertaining to this, but not a single solution has been effective, or have relation to my issue.
My assumption to the cause of this would be the actual app bugging out because of the similar recent reviews of the Google app on the play store, but I'd like you guys' opinion.
If anyone wants to have me redirect this, sure. I just thought this forum was most suited.
Reverted to an older version, and it functions. The question still stands though because it baffles me.
I'm pretty sure that is the way its supposed to look. That is how mine looks. I have voice search enable but not on every screen just like you.
