Keyboard Skin

Hi
Does anyone out there have a cab for making the touchscreen key-board a little more inviting.. I had one off here years ago which made it blue green and a little 3d but I cant seem to find it on here, it was a cab someone had designed....>?????

They are cab files and easy to install

yeah i use the red one, from what i can remember (and theres a post on it in the forums somewhere) they would only work with wm03

Well the red one is working fine on my wifes M600 (HTC Prophet)
Will try it on a 2003SE device tomorrow

Cheers Guys, I had a go at downloading one but it doesnt work, after further forum reading yesterday I believe the reason for this is because the app isnt signed. My device is locked to t-mobile and also super cid locked. So until someone comes up with a CID unlocked version I cant get this working.

You could try the cab file in the link below, it disables the certification allowing you to install & run unsigned programs & cab files.
Machinegod did a similar tool, try a search if your interested.

help with WM6

need some help.
im with Rogers and i used some WM6 roms from this site i try like 3 of them alredy and ran in to a problem with my called id and name display
for some reson it won't show me names of the callers this worked with WM5 that came with my phone
and also video calling won't work some thing about 3G not available
please help a noob i alway flash my phone's then read later

i believe if you use the search function you will find a thread already asking that same question...

Use this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298520 it will fix your problem, and is the best option you have since you won't search or read.

i was reding for 6 hours last nite and i can find any thing

Hello Guys,
This is my 1st post but been watching this forum for a while now. You guys are awesome in your field and liking. I am kinda noobie in this. Needed a lil help and am sure I would get it soon. I purchased HTC Diamond y`day and it seems that it was locked by Airtel. My phone has been unlocked and its working perfectly fine. Help I need is with below
1. How can I change the home screen left, right buttons. Left says "PHONE" and right says "AIRTEL LIVE"
2. How can I change the startup wallpaper which shows a huge Airtel logo when i boot my phone up.

1. Try Diamond Tweak. Install it on the Touch Diamond and run the program. Left softkey is under 14.4 and the right softkey is under 14.5.
2. Is this what you mean?
Guess you've should update to hard-SPL. Follow this tutorial to get it working. Only do this when you understand the risks.

@Crazyrooster, thanks a ton mate !! That is all what I needed .. Its looks perfect .. Big thanks .. Also regarding the SPL I was looking around and did want to upgrade my rom... Today morning I tried to install Duttys but it didnt get installed. Error 262. Tried researching and it seems that the connection with active sync is getting disconnected and thus the update doesnt work. Will check the links u have provided.

Hey .. Installed 1.38 Olinex .. Phone seems to be superfast then before .. Tweaks helped a lot .. Just spending time with the phone these days after work .. Mail for Exchange is also working good .. When I click contacts, its taking me to company directory .. Weird .. So looking around for some solution .. Am sure will find it around here ..

Hey Shroomz, looks like you have one of the previously Airtel branded but now officially unlocked phones.
Did you run any hard spl before running the diamond tweak which got rid of "Airtel live" from home screen ? Thanks.

do you have the latest version of htc sync?? older ones dont work with froyo

can someone please post a link to it. in my country HTC only has 2.1 so i cant find the link. the one on the htc website is for 2.1

If you live in the US (or want to download the version that is relevant to your country then change your location at the top of the screen and go to Support and you will find the download links for HTC Sync.
HTC Sync 3.0 is the one you want and it works with Android 2.1 and above except the special version of HTC sync for tattoo, magic and hero, that version has (1.5) next to it so it won't work on your phone.
edit: oh btw, the website might ask you to enter in your phone's serial number in order to download the file. it will tell you where to locate the number on your phone.

I tried to re install it and didn't fix it it syncs for about 2 mins then cancels itself. any ideas? i am using the 3.0 software

Hello, firstly just wanted to say thanks to you all for posting your helpful info on the website, it really does help!!!
But unfortunately im stuck and could use some help/advice/tutorial please.
I have a HTC One V that is bought from Carphone Warehouse UK, and isnt sim locked.
I rooted, unlocked the bootloader, and then put on stock Vanilla ICS, although in the process i was at a point where the phone was sticking on the HTC screen.
Eventually i got it to go past that and now i have Vanilla ICS on there (I THINK!!)
But my problem now is i cannot use three finger swipe to pair to my Media Link HD, or even pair to it at all
And i use my media link a lot.
Basically i want one of 3 things really, and im hoping someone can help me out
1) Stay on Vanilla ICS and get my phone paired to my Media Link HD
2) Get another ROM that doesnt have HTC Sense (which was why i put Vanilla ICS on the handset) but will still pair up to my Media Link HD
3) Revert back to stock rom
Oh, i also used CID Getter to get this info from the handset, although i dont know what it means ive just read somewhere its useful:
20.72.30.0833U_3831.17.00.18_M
And my last thing, if this is in the wrong place i apologize in advance, if you could point me in the right direction

This goes in Q&A, but to answer your question media link is a Sense feature. You would need to be on a stock rom to use it.

Look for my signature to return to stock.
Also if you vant Vanilla, you can install Apex or Nova launcher into the stock ROM. Not the same, but almost.
From the line you inserted (baseband version)I think your device is a WWE europe at the version of 2.08.401.2, but CID will be better.
For the ruu go to development and search for the stock roms thread (link here).
