Hello,
I had a few clarifications on moving from a CM/AOSP ROM to Stock Samsung Based ROM's.
My phone is a N7100 International Version.
I'm running PACman ROM as my daily driver and I'm actually looking to sell off this phone to a friend who is a Touchwiz fan (bleugh!). He would want to keep root however but wants me to install a stock based ROM.
Questions.
1. Does doing a data/cache/dalvik cache wipe and flash the touchwiz based ROM work? Is it that simple? Is the process similar to flashing CM/AOSP ROM's?
2. I read somewhere that there would be modem issues if the above method is used.
Could someone be kind enough to help me out here. I'm using PhilZ recovery.
Before anything else. EFS Backup and Nandroid back up just in case.
1. PhilZ Recovery
2. Wipe Data & Cache - Clean Install a new ROM then Wipe data & Factory reset
3. Mounts and Storage - FORMAT SYSTEM
4. Install your preferred STOCK ROM TW based.
5. Wipe cache
6. Wipe Dalviks
7. Reboot

I tried what you had suggested, did not work. Ended up in a bootloop. Had to flash a stock 4.1.2 firmware through ODIN and then root and finally flashed DN3 ROM through recovery. Now it works.
So you just have to move to stock before going from AOSP to TW based ROM's.
General info ...
Update from:

GAPPS: 20131119 (http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Gapps)
Does this setup look alright? Will it work?
Any danger of incompatibities/brick?
Any need for I747UCUEMJB kernel? Or, is it included/superseeded by CM 11? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47816011&postcount=18)
Thanks!
You can flash any ROM you want after upgrading your boot loader. Just do not try to downgrade your boot loader to anything below 4.3 as it will result in a hard brick.
Can't Flash anything
I was on stock 4.3 and i decided to upgrade to the [ROM][9.15.14] LikeWise Galaxy S5 | TouchWiz 4.4.2 | NE4 | Version 4.1.
It didn't work. It gets stuck on the s5 samsung logo boot. I decided to return to 4.3 but it doesn't work it gives the status 7 error.
Files i have
1. d2att_I747UCUEMJB_modem.zip
2. I747UCUEMJB_bootloader.............. I am not able to flash this
3. att-LikeWise-v4.1-NE4-9-15-14
4. update43
Status 7 errors can happen with an outdated bootloader.
I highly recommend Philz Touch which can be flashed in Odin or from your existing custom recovery.

yea i used philz_touch_6.07.9. I also tried flashing I747UCUEMJB_bootloader because i suspected that i couldn't revert to 4.3 because of an outdated bootloader, but that didn't work either.
I will really love that S5 ROM but now i can't even flash anything.
I can view my recovery and download mode.
I suggest downloading a CM11 for a d2lte and flash it in recovery. Before flashing, I recommend that you wipe cache, dalvik, data, and system. After flashing, wipe cache, data, and dalvik again just to be sure everything has been cleared, then boot the phone.

Hey!!! I've installed the CM11 d2lte and it's running perfectly.
Quick one, i'm still interested in installing the likewise S5 ROM. Now that i'm on the CM11, how do i go about it?
Thanks for your assistance, it was highly helpful.
Make sure you have the latest custom recovery on your phone. Copy the custom ROM to your phone, boot into recovery and create a nandroid backup of your current ROM. Once the backup is complete, wipe cache, dalvik, and flash the custom ROM.
Make note of any errors messages you get when flashing the new ROM.

The mistake i was making was that i didn't mount the system after i flashed the Likewise ROM. The moment i did it, it booted correctly. Almost everything is working perfectly fine. If i try to change the lockscreen wallpaper and it brings out the Gallery, wallpaper and err... some other option, when i select the wallpapers for the lockscreen the settings crashes.
You guys are just awesome. Thanks!
So I'm running 4.4.4 liquidsmooth right now with my note 2 but I want to go back to my stock 4.3. I also have a backup of my 4.3 stock rom and used clockworkmod recovery. But I'm not sure the steps how to revert back. Should i format and wipe cache at recovery first before i do restore?
bump!

Restore your back up via clockwork mod. You'll be back to the stock ROM.
I'll be putting my Optimus G up for sale soon so I need to wipe it and return it to stock. I currently have CM 11.0 official ROM installed but I do have a backup of my stock rooted ROM. Do I need to reflash the stock ROM and do a factory reset to remove the CM11.0? Or is there more that needs to be done?

I would suggest flashing the stock ZVC rooted ROM and wiping the sd card as well as a wiping data. You should be able to do both from recovery. That would be the easiest way. Here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536636
You can also flash the full .bin from LGNPST. Follow this thread, it will be a COMPLETE wipe and reset everything even recovery as far as I know. This is the thread for that. (it would be what you would want to do to turn in to the manufacturer)

so i have an s3 i747M currently was sitting on slimrom build 7, but i felt as if i had battery issues so went to explore different roms, after finding a couple(i.e. stable slim rom build 9, cyanide alpha lolipop build, cyanogenmod alpha, resurrection rom, candykat rom) i went back to restore the initial system, but when i did CWM recovery would finish maybe half of the restore and then boot up the backup... usually after the restore you would have to boot manually, i've tried other functions like wiping user data, but would still boot on it's own before finishing wipes... anyone know how to fix this?
Have you tried re-installing CWM? Were you trying to restore a KK ROM over an L ROM? I had trouble restoring a KK backup on a Nexus 4 that had been running a custom L ROM.
