guys im desperate pls help , at first I installed a custom rom and my galaxy s3 was fine I even backed up my efs wich means there shouldn't b a problem. but I then tried installing a custom kernel and now I don't get any signal wether its 3g or wifi, I already restored my efs and that doesn't help. I live in south Africa and don't no wat the hell im doing rong or what 2 do next. guys if you can help me id appreciate it my email address ( [email protected]) thanks in advanced
Did you try restoring a complete stock rom including the modem?

The other day I took the plunge and decided to root my phone and install some ROMs. It was all going well until I started noticing that I wasn't able to make/receive calls or texts. I had gio pro 1.4 installed when I first noticed this problem and I had read that installing cyanogenmod 7.2 had helped someone with a similar issue so I installed it.
Now I have cnmod 7.2 installed with the same problem and with my carrier name changed from virgin to bell. If I restart my phone I am able to call and send messages for a few minutes but then craps out again.

unfortunately u are having the same issue as me you have to select use 2g only which is only good if you are on a network that supports 2g the nv data file become corrupt somehow and you lose 3g capability i am trying to figure away to fix the gio but to no avail right now

Actually I found out why I was having this problem recently. Turns out I have a different model of the gio (gt-5660M) . When I installed gio pro 1.4 I completely overwrote my stock firmware including the baseband so it screwed up my network settings. I had to find my stock firmware, flash it using Odin and then I just installed clockwork recovery and flashed cyanogenmod 7.2 using that. It's been fine working since then.

well atleast your lucky i restored my original software and it has the right modem when i do a network search it picks up the 3g networks just wont connect to them
Yes, I accidentally did the same to my GT-S5660M. What I did was reflashed the stock ROM and then rooted, installed CWM recovery, and flashed a custom ROM, being careful not to override the baseband. Thankfully the ROM I flashed used CWM recovery and not Odin, and I didn't have to worry about a thing.

I have installed the redpill kernel for the note NT 7100 on my NT 7105 device, everything works very well but I lost connection to the cellular network and I can't seem to establish connection again. What can I do?, is it happening because I installed it in a NT 7105 device, aren't both the same except for the 4G?.
I would really appreciate if someone helped me to recover my phone!
Assuming u got a backup, restore it, 'cause redpill kernel is suitable only for 7100 note. Otherwise flash stock kernel again.

I got some serious wifi problems with my Ace 2! I really hope someone of you could help me to fix it.
I flashed the newest CyanogenMod with Android 4.3 and by that lost my Imei. This was no big deal because I made a backup of the efs folder, and could restore it successfully. But now my wifi won't work anymore. I can turn it on and my network is been found but when I connect simply nothing happens. This has to be due to the Imei restore, because before Wifi was fully functional. When I made the backup of the EFS Folder, there was a "wifi" Folder folder in it, which is now lost (not in the backup, on my device).
I already tried:
- full data wipe
- reset to factory state
- the App "FXR WiFi fix and rescue "
- run the Imei restore once again
but it didn't change anything
Now I run out of ideas... hope one of you guys knows something that might help.
Any help is appreciated
Ah, what I forget to mention my WLAN-Mac Address is 00:00:00:00:00:00 could this be the reason for my wifi issues?

Awesome, Stock ROM fixed it.
Silly me, thought that it wouldn't make any sense to flash an old version when the problem is not due to a bug of the new one.

i have a samsung galaxy s3 i747m and i flashed to 4.1.2 and rooted with odin ,
but my problem is when i try to make a phone call i cant and say that my celphone is not registered on the network
i have my real imei, is not corrupted ,but i dont know what else i can do i flash my celphone like 12 times i try to flash with ariza patch but dont work with my cel can anyone help me i really aprecciated !!!!

factory reset, clearing dalvik cache and cache partition on the recovery might do the work or flash another rom, going back to stock firmware using odin will fix this problems.........
Help .I have SM-7505 .I was running rooted stock rom (4.4.2)with cwm 6 .the problem is imei number is now 00439566xxxxx and can't connect to the network. I don't have a backup of my efs folder .Can anyone help me?
