[OpenSEMC] Xperia ION 4.2 ROM (last post!) --- Feedback needed!

Ok guys, here is the deal:
I have 3 OpenSEMC roms right here at my hand, one for Nozomi, one for Aoba and one for Hikari.
(Xperia S, Ion and Acro S).
I need testers, so please post here if you are willing to
*) wipe all your data and do a clean install (otherwise testing is useless)
*) report back as fast as possible (I want those threads to be created finally)
*) face the one or other unknown issue (well, you know, there are always issues)
I will select, post and PM two people per device (so 6 after all) which are the testers. As soon as they report everything works fine, I'll release these roms for everybody
EDIT: I recieved feedback from nozomi & hikari, please look at the last post if you have an Aoba (Xperia ION) and test flash the software and report back!

It seems like OmniROM is also coming for the R819. It's the new project from Xplodwild, Chainfire & Entropy512 (and more). Would be GREAT !!!

FYI, while he got omni to boot on R819, it has a LOT of problems at the moment.
Mediatek's hwcomposer is a total mess.

hmm oke so no daily driver for now /:
i will try building it anyway in try it out (if my girlfriend gives my her phone xD). how do iflash the zip? is there a twrp aviable that i just didnt see yet or with the stock recovery?

I hope it will be full working when I get device.

Hmm there are no kernel sources for the R819 on the OmniROM git..
Are you not allowed to open them up just yet or will they be aviable soon?

XploDWilD is working on mkt devices, if you have a *genuine* Samsung Galaxy S4 you can fin roms for it, it has an exynos processor, so it´s easy supported by distributions.
do you have a clone instead?

i took to long for waiting omni rom or cyanogen for this devices... good devices but lack of rom resources...

[S][MOD][LB] CyanogenMod 10 for locked bootloaders

This is CM10 for LB. If you want to check how it works, go here out. Though it's very unlikely to happen, I am not reponsible for bricked devices/whining children whatsoever.
You can get the mod, containing the latest commits and patches from here (*.zip) or here (*.tar.gz). I will also upload it here on XDA, but it may not always be up-to-date. Also feel free to contribute to my source, any help is appreciated.
Oh and since I don't have time to update this thread very often, I will not post a changelog. Though you can track my progress here.
VERY IMPORTANT: Do NOT flash this mod using CWM. Please follow the installation instructions given in the second post instead. If you want to flash it, go here.

Installation instructions
Instructions:
Advanced users can use this instead.
Step: Download (a) CM10(-based) ROM (which means other ROMs such as AOKP or PAC could work too)
Step:
Open the ROM.zip (e.g. "FXP250-cm-10-20131215-UNOFFICIAL-nozomi.zip")
Delete the META-INF folder
Open my mod.
Copy META-INF folder from my mod (master.zip or patch-nozomi.zip) to the ROM.zip
Step:
Delete META-INF folder
Copy META-INF folder from my zip to the ROM.zip
Step:
Copy lb-and-wifi folder from my zip to the ROM.zip
Flash the modified ROM.zip like any other ROM

Hi, thanks for you interest. This ROM does not boot up (boot loop) as of now. Hence I would recommend not to flash this with a locked bootloader though since it's pointless (it is not going to boot and you cannot grab a proper log). That and installation instructions have already been stated one post above yours by the way.

Bro, i have a suggestion.. Although this is also a very good idea of bringing CM10 for LB.. Why don't u try a AOSP 4.3/4.4? Fixing all present bugs in letama's 4.3 may be.. Or bringing a SONY UI for 4.3/4.4..??

It might be possible, yes. But it's a lot of work. I chose CM10 because I find it's more likely to work with Stock 4.1.2 kernel than KitKat for example. I don't even know it will work. Many devs say that it's impossible to boot CyanogenMod/AOSP-based ROMs using Stock kernel, and this might be true. I will not give up so fast though, let's see how far we can come. Remember this project can't progress if nobody tries to get me a log (I haven't received a single log yet).

I truely wish to help u out, but right now going through semester exams and i will see what i can do to help after new year.. Meanwhile @franklin93 Can u be a tester? Do u know how to take a logcat via adb from your pc? Will u be able to test djolivier's builds?

Hello All,
Be careful, I didn't test it much! Don't do that if you're not used to flash stock firmware when everything is broken or phone doesn't boot. Wait for feeback from experienced users!
Now that disclaimer is done, here is a little gift for the end of the year .
I was able to steal my wife XS for few hours and continued @djolivier work, cm10 boots and runs fine now as far as I can tell.
Requirements:
- Rooted stock 1.96 firmware with working recovery
Instructions:
- Download zip from the link above
- Push zip to /sdcard
- Go to recovery
- Flash zip
- Flash gapps
- Wipe data
Note:
I replaced recovery with TWRP, the one I had on locked doesn't work properly. I didn't test much TWRP either, but it seems to behave properly. Be cautious too with it.
Let me know if it works for you. Mine is unlocked, but it runs with a fully stock kernel so it should be the same for you guys.
I'll hand over my scripts and hints to @djolivier, I'll let him manage it, this is his baby after all and I don't have the XS very often.

As the title suggests, this is CM10 for locked bootloaders. Since many people doubt this works, I am NOT responsible for bricked devices, whining children whatsoever. I have tested this on my locked Xperia S and it works so good that I decided to use it as a daily driver.

I have linked to an explanation on how it works in the OP.
It was my idea, I started it and worked hard on it, but letama helped me a lot, got it booting and fixed wifi (and also ported TWRP for LB), please also give kudos to him.

Someone with locked bootloader should try, but I think it should work. You need to flash it with Sony apps from somewhere, but all the prerequisites are there. And 12 MP camera and 1080p video recording, should work since this is based on 1.96 firmware, the kernel is the same.

BE has been impossible so far on CM because of the unlocked bootloader thing.

stuck at cyangenmod screen
I was excited, download was very fast, installed very quickly and is stuck at cyanogenmod screen for ages, rebooted stuck at same screen.. will re-download and try again..
Forgot to wipe.. silly billy me, everything worked after that.. excellent work.

If you want Mobile Bravia Engine - try install PimpMyRom app from market, and there is option for install this, good luck

Hey,
since the thread of Dav's AICP rom for N7100 is closed, but his rom was the only one with working videos in every app, Im searching for a reupload or a link or something like that of the lastest version of his rom. Dont matter if the dev of this rom is stopped, it would be newer as my rom now.

Because the ROM did not follow GPL rules on XDA.
