Can I flash a custom kernel with stock rom ?

Hey guus I want to know if it is possible to use a custom kernel with stock rom if so whick kernel(s). Am sorry if its posted somewhere before I tried to find out but couldn't find anything.

Sure you can if your device is rooted. Flash the right kernel for your phone(7100 or 7105) enjoy!

[R&D] CyanogenMod 10.1 bringup for P6 [PROJECT][TEAM RADIUM]

So, I've been working on a basic CM device configuration/tree for this device! Its still WIP

Just means we can't flash images via bootloader nor the stock recovery since it performs a signature check... Guess we can thank Huawei for the 1024 mixed md5 checksum. This being the case doesn't mean that development ends here as we do have a CWM recovery coming our way so hold tight.

Thanks for all the information you gave when I asked
I guess s89 and my team (I am am the only one from the team on this project atm) can work on this further.
Some parts of BoardConfig have been done. I was not able to push kernel source to github, so, I request someone to push it to their github if possible :fingers-crossed:

Hi I have a LG-F180S korean and I need help.
I have a stock rom 4.1.2 and I want to install a 4.3 costum rom, but I not sure what to download most are for Lg optimus E975. I think that my phone is the same with E975 but I am not sure.
If someone could help me to tell what to download and install to my phone??

hi, i'm think your phone is the same at e977 - e975 - and f180s because i use custom roms e975 and f180s in my e977 and works.

Down load this tool " docs.google.com/file/d/0BymXcmDRZdl9OHVTcTNpYkI5QU0/edit?usp=sharing". after download it, extracted it to a new folder.
Open Multi_Tools.bat. And hit 1 to root your phone
After you had your phone rooted. Hit number 3 to unlock bootloader.
After Unlock bootloader, you now have a custom recovery (CWM).
Download whatever E975 rom that you want to ( include gapps maybe, if you want to flash CM, AOKP, MIUI rom). Copy it to your phone sd card.
Go inside app drawer and choose app rebooter. Click to " recovery reboot", it will enter to CWM custom recovery.
Flash your rom. That's it.

I have F180s. I up rom e975.kdz. afterthat I install CWM, flash pac_rom4.3,gapp and kernel. But when I reboot, it's brick LG logo,error boot.

is there any complications when flashing e975 rom to converted f180 phone in terms of mobile data and signal? i have a converted f180L in 4.1.2 E975 stock rom. i want to flash MIUI or cyanogen. is there anything i should do so i have signal or data network? i have searched for the answer here but to no avail. thanks!

i dont think it was what he meant. i think he meant it's just some copy of the 4.4.2 rom from dev thread. well, i dont think so. it uses raymanfx's kernel for sure, but the rom is real mokke. i tried only for couple hours, it has same bugs with raymanfx's, the animation's really nice though.
and i think they'll (the mokke dev) will maintain it. so since this thread is in general section, i think this thread is legit. good even, so people will know about mokke's rom (which is from chineese i believe)

I successfully flashed this rom in TWRP, tried it and reverted back to OPENSemc. Recovery was flashed in FOTA before so its not suppose to just go away. You can reflash TWRP from Goo Manager or find a zip file in development section. And as far as root goes just flash SuperSU zip, it is easy to find.

Check this first -> http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/144 You can use Flashtool to flash .elf file. There are instructions there on how to proceed. That will take care of TWRP. Then you can flash SuperSU zip file.

oke I ****ed up and my phone won't go past huawei screen i tried everything even put the update.app in the dload map now it says everthing is oke until system can someone please help me i'm out of options please help me

You need to mention which rom so that we know whether its a fixable brick or not.

and ? give step by step full information. The only unfixable bricking (meaning you have to give it to service) is when the brick happens on flashing B118 or B120 Chinese firmware.
Were you successful in having twrp on your phone ?

oke i used miui v5 i think as a rom i used the app of twrp downloaded the rom of cynogen then i followed the instructions and boom! bricked i think this was how it happend and yes i did do all the wiping (hahah)
