No Service No IMEI on my T999

Hello guys, I need help. Last week i happened to install a custom rom on my t mobile s3 and after a while i decided to return its stock rom just to get a "no service" on the notification later after going on the settings there was no IMEI i have been trying to recover both but nothing seems to work. If anyone knows a way to gain back the signal and also the IMEI please help. Thanks

I tried that and gained my imei back but yet no service.

+1 I lost mine and data a few months ago and I was able to restore it along with the data as well. Just follow the guide and it should work :good:

Thanks guys used the following steps and gained my signal back but it is stuck on EDGE and keeps disconnecting also on the ERI Version it says not available and also no serial number i uploaded a screenshot. what should i do???

You might want to get rid if that picture showing your IMEI to start with

I dont Know if im wrong but when i flash custom rom from 4.2 the ones on the original dev. i travel from dallas to Puerto rico and yo know that in the plane you put the arpline mode when i turn it off i have the edge in my status bar and when i search for the imei it was 0 so me trying to fix my phone by some methods in xda i do it wrong and i get like a service screen in my phone and that screen was persistent so i go to tmobile fight a little bit anf the change my phone to a new one So in the new one i flashed one jb rom 4.1.1 and so far no problem with the imei.!

hey, atleast better you coz you were able to return it to T Mobile. I was given the phone by a friend from the States and i happen to be in Kenya so it is Impossible for me to return it.

After two days of working this issue I was able to repair my IMEI, however, I'm not stuck on 2g or "E" for AT&T.
I was able to use Model T989 to make the change as listed below. Please advise how to add 3g or 4g. Edge is extremely slow Thanks:

Days Later:
Problem resolved. You need QPST v2.7.378 and SGS3 QCN Generator (Peoplearmy). Although both I believe was created for the I535 (Verizon) it resolved my problem in which I'm able to get 3g/4g on my phone (T999) using the AT&T network after I repaired the IMEI.

I've been looking for this problem for almost a month and almost every xda thread link people post is dead.
Been stuck on Edge for almost a month, so finding these links that supposedly solve everything and then seeing they are not accesible to me is very frustrating. :/

When I go in Networks operators, available networks (witch takes a very long time to load compare to another phone) only shows "Rogers Wireless"

[Q] N7100 Not Registered on Network

I just bought a GT-N7100 (International Note 2) from someone who bought it Taiwan a few weeks ago and when he got home, couldn't use it because he has Verizon. I have AT&T and don't mind not having LTE as I don't use data too much on the go so it was perfect for me. Although I told him I wanted the stock Touchwiz Firmware when I bought it, a MIUI ROM was loaded when I got it. When I inserted my SIM card it worked on the ATT Network and I had no issues for about an hour. I went to Samsung-updates.com to get the stock firmware and reflashed the phone to run Touchwiz.
Well, when I flashed the new/stock Firmware, the boot animation got stuck in a loop and I let it run for a good 30 mins before shutting the phone off doing a factory reset in Recovery Mode. After resetting, the phone booted up and I was able to set everything up and use my wifi at home, but I was unable to connect to any mobile network for phone calls or data (couldn't even call out to ATT customer service). Ever since I tried flashing the stock Firmware (I used ODIN to flash the zip I got from samsung-updates.com) I cannot connect to the AT&T network. It is not an issue with the SIM card as I've tried my wife's SIM with the same issue and my SIM works fine on her phone. I've since tried flashing other ROMs that are both Touchwiz based and CM10 based, including: Alliance ROM, MIUI, CyanogenMod 10, and Paranoid Android. Each ROM has had different APN settings that I have tried to no effect. I've also researched a few APNs that I've entered manually with still no results. The phone does me no good if I can't use it away from my house on a network. PLEASE HELP!!

Are you reffering to network as in data or network inc voice calls as well.

Actually both. it wont connect at all

*#06# to see if your imei is correct and not reverted to generic. Compare the imei displayed to the box or back of the device

When I check the IMEI, it matches the box and the back of the phone except it has a /01 after it. So it reads 3536.......86 / 01. I'm not sure if that matters at all. But if not then the IMEI is good. The serial number also matches the back of the phone. From all the reading I've done, it's something to do with the EFS Folder but I don't really know where to go from here.

So from this we know your efs is not messed up and you have the correct imei set on the phone efs. From what I read so far you really need to call network operators and ask them by giving your imei number to see why your phone is not getting registered to the network. Do you think it might be blacklisted stolen lost phone?

You meant SIGNED ? they all do... Dowload the latest version 3.9.3... The first dowload link on the list...

Galaxy S3 rooted - No mobile network

Hi guys,
I am writing this post requesting help with my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone which is rooted and is on T-Mobile UK.
Background/Problem:
After having my phone rooted watching a youtube video I then went onto put a leaked 4.2.2 ROM published by androidgalaxy.cu.cc without doing any cache/dalvik cache/data wipe - I used Odin for flashing. The ROM was working ok except few problems such as the Messaging app wouldn't load at all. After a bit of research much later, I realised it was due to not performing necessary wipes during flashing. I then decided to flash CyanogenMod 10.1 using ROM Manager and again I did not wipe anything. I was completely unaware of the necessity of doing wipes to avoid ROM malfunctioning. As expected after flashing, CyanogenMod wouldn't load and stuck at the boot lopp (on the screen where a glow goes around in circle). I did a wipe and re-flashed and it worked this time but I noticed that there was no mobile network. I read on some forum post that loading a stock rom might help and went ahead and flashed Stock Deodexed T999UVDMD5 ROM hoping it might help, but to no avail. Everything else seems fine but no way can I get the mobile network working. I have since taken my SIM out and tried it on an old HTC Wildfire S to make phone calls and send messages. I have come across IMEI number being missing and EFS (I am not sure what it is) being corrupt and I can identify my situation to be one of them. Upon dialing *#06# I get null/null instead of a proper IMEI number. Following are some of observations from my phone from the Settings:
*Settings>More Settings>Mobile Networks - Insert SIM card to access network services message pops up
*Settings>About Device>Baseband Version - Unknown
*Settings>About Device>Status>Network - Unknown
*Settings>About Device>Status>Mobile Network Type - Unknown
*Settings>About Device>Status>Service state - Out of service
*Settings>About Device>Status>Roaming - Not roaming
*Settings>About Device>Status>Mobile network state - Disconnected
*Settings>About Device>Status>My phone number - Unknown
*Settings>About Device>Status>IMEI - Unknown
*Settings>About Device>Status>IMEI SV - Unknown
*Settings>About Device>Status>Device Status - Custom

You're running the SGH-T999 device, right? Make you're you're doing that first.
The best u can tell you is to Odin a stock firmware. Going from 4.2.2 to 4.1.1 ROM's will more than likely give you issues. It's best to Odin so you get a fresh start and avoid any issues.
I highly recommend to use the app Andromizer to make a backup of your IMEI. Sometimes flashing different ROM's can cause you to lose your IMEI. So this will backup it up and restore it when you do lose it easily.

Yes, since I am using the T Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3 so I assume it is the SGH T999.
If I have understood you correctly.. you suggest I flashed a 4.1.1 ROM using Odin? Will that possibly solve the mobile network issue?
Regarding backing up the IMEI, I will definitely do that once the issue is solved, in case I want to flash another ROM next time.

Sorry, I have been very stupid in assuming that it is SGH T999. I just checked on the settings and the Model Number is GT-I9300.
So could it be that the network problem arose because the ROM I flashed was only meant for SGH T999?

Okay I have a Galaxy S3 theT-Mobile version, SGH-T999 and Im trying to unlock it by the Service Mode, (dial *#197328640# then UMTS, Debug Screen, Phone Control, Network Lock, Persho sha256 off) but that option [4] does not show, either way, I click on option [3] SHA256_ENABLE_FLAG[0], then I see "menu does not exist" "press back key" and "current command is 118630", Then I wait 30 seconds, press the menu key and select back, I do it again to be in that Ntwork Lock page again, BUT still that option [4] does not appear, which is the one that I am suppose to click and wait for a minute to get it unlocked. Yes, I have done my research;
I already downgraded my Android version to 4.1.1 since I had 4.1.2 and still no luck.
I have tried it with a T-Mobile SIM, Simple Mobile SIM and Aio Wireless SIM and still does not work. Can anyone help me please.

I just did it an hour ago for a friend. TMobile Galaxy S3... Downgraded to root66_VTR_T999VVLALH2.7z .... Did the unlock, confirmed working with new SIM (Family Mobile). Reinstalled TWRP, and reflashed his custom ROM back to 4.1.1... All is working perfectly...

How dId you downgrade? Did you include the modem in that? Your probably still using the MD5 modem.

I dont know if I did any of that, I just put clockwork mod or something like that and put that 4.1.1 update in there. What should I do next.? How do check if im still usind that MD5 modem.? And I dnt think you have to unlock a tmobile phone to use it whith family mobile, its like simple mobile and tmobile..

How do you not know what you flashed? And what exactly are you referring to by "that 4.1.1 update"?
All of the firmware info is listed in Settings. Why go through the trouble if you think you can use it without unlocking? Dont take it the wrong way, but if you don't know what you are flashing, or how to even check what you are running, you might consider stopping while you still have a functional device. People brick their phones all the time because they don't take the time to understand what it is they are doing.

And I didn't have the phone with me, but I have it now and yeah I still do have T999UVDMD5. And I am not a pro at this but I do have a little understanding of what I am doing. So do you have any suggestions on what to do to unlock it, cause my At&t month is running and I have no phone to use it with :/

Just flash an older modem and follow the instructions in the main unlock thread in General. Should work fine.

HELP WANTED - Unable to find service on any ROM except MIUI or CYAN on my T-mobile S4

Good morning everyone.
Sorry for creating a new thread, I just thought it would be a mess in a common thread.
I have a serious problem. For weeks I've been unable to find service on any ROM except MIUI or cyanogenmod 11. I hate the official one, that's the reason for changing a rom. But I would really like to flash Hyperdrive or Wicked.
I followed all the instructions and successfuly flashed lots of ROMs but there were NO service. I just kept receiveing the message "no service" or "no service area" right after I was switching back from a lock screen.
I think it might be because of a non-suitable modem for those ROMs. I tried to flash them with ODIN but it didn't worked out. I have some kind of a writing protection on a bootloader and I am unable to change it or unlock it or to flash another modem.
Please help me to flash.
