[Q] Galaxy Note Tab Pro 8.4 LTE from Verizon? - Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 Q&A, Help & Trouble

I have been searching and searching. While I can find plenty of references to the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 being released on Verizon I have not seen any thing regarding the Galaxy Note Tab Pro 8.4. Even though there have been some sites reporting that there will be a LTE version.
Has any one seen any thing definitive?

Haven't seen anything definitive but I'm expecting the 8.4 LTE on AT&T and the 10.1 LTE on Verizon.

I'm just gonna get the 200 dollar USB modem from Verizon for the tab pro 8.4 when I get it of course I'm waiting on taxes lol

The Galaxy Note 2 will have the same specs whether it is US version or International version. The forum is the same for all variants. The only difference will be when you go to development, there is a separate sub-forum for each carrier. this is the same model that was used in the US Galaxy S3 forum. You are in the right place.

Samsung N7105 Galaxy Note II LTE

I have seen that there are 2 versions of the Galaxy note 2
version 1. Samsung N7105 Galaxy Note II LTE
version 2 Samsung N7100 Galaxy Note II
Are the roms in the rom section compatible for both versions or ther should be a different forum thread for the Samsung N7105 Galaxy Note II LTE just as there isone for the Galaxy S3 gt-i9305?
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105 LTE
Are there any roms yet for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105 LTE ?
There will be when its released in an English speaking country.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
I'm kind of hoping the ROMs will be compatible, since I doubt many people will be getting the N7105. I kind of want to, however, since the N7100 won't support 4G in my country.
I'm quite sure that the talented dev in XDA can managed to find a way to easily port ROMs between LTE and non LTE. I was hoping that the only difference is in the modem and not the ROM. Maybe just flashing some lib files can make the difference between the 2.

Singapore launching it from 19 October at all 3 Telcos.

It will be fine, all the US Galaxy S 3's can share almost all the roms/kernels (some better than others) so I don't see why the Note 2 would be much different. Obviously you'll flash different modems but roms/Kernels should cross over np.

Different firmware for the two models, rom for LTE don't available. I wonder for disponibility in Italy.

Seriously, I did not know there were sooo many different variants of the Note II (LTE). After reading on a couple of websites that it had FM Radio I went ahead to purchase the LTE version and only to find out later that it did not have FM Radio enabled in the Singapore version.
Some say there is no hardware built within the phone to support FM Radio but when I called Samsung Singapore helpline (1800-7267864) and voiced my disappointment, over the local market being deprived of a very basic function;
1) First I was told, no FM Radio and to download Radio Application from Google Play the streaming kind that will incur data charges.
2) When I said, why is that overseas LTE model has inbuilt FM Receiver then I was told that Samsung was aware of this issue and that they were working on this situation and perhaps there will be an update soon.
So in other words, it may just have something to do with the ROM and or Kernal and the hardware is probably already there but disabled. I suggest, those who feel there is a strong need for this function (FM Radio) to call them up and constantly, get an update otherwise, Samsung won't really know that there is a serious market for this function. Just my opinion.

which country? I really like the T325 version but don't think it will be available in the US... the LTE band is not compatible with ATT or Tmobile anyway...:crying:
Model: SM-T325
3G band: 850/900/1900/2100MHz
4G band: 800/850/900/1800/2100/2600MHz
Yea. I bought mine in Hong Kong and am using it now.

I highly doubt it will work with ATT LTE, the radio is missing LTE band 4 or 17.

I am using the SM-T325 on AT&T. I upgraded from the Galaxy Note 8.0 GT-N5100, and I simply swapped out the SIM card. I can confirm the tablet is able to send/receive voice calls, but so far it looks like I've only been able to achieve HSPA+ mobile data rates. The stock ROM allows you to select LTE/WCDMA/GSM network mode by default, but the status bar only shows the "H+" indicator. Using OOKLA speed test, I've been able to achieve around 9Mbps down, which is the same as my iPhone 5 and HTC One with LTE. Maybe it is a coverage issue?
I've rooted the tablet, and my apps are able to access the SD card using SDFix. However, I have not been able to successfully install a custom recovery like TWRP 2.7.0.1. I don't know if the radio can support faster mobile data rates, but so far the download speed has been similar to my Galaxy Note 8.0 GT-N5100, iPhone 5 and HTC One, which is good enough for me. On the other hand, the display quality and battery life are superior to the GT-N5100, so I am very happy with the SM-T325.

There will not be a software reason that your speeds are limited. I would expect coverage might be an issue because I expect the HTC One to have higher speeds than that. I don't believe LTE is possible on ATT or T-Mobile though.

This is great news. If we (US AT&T variant) could install foreign rom, like we could with the original Galaxy Tab, this would be an awesome device for phone and tablet.
i have one since 2 days
i have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 Wifi / 3G / 4G LTE
i'm French and i can say that i'm very surprised by the high screen quality and many others funtions.
So great !
i had a Galaxy Note 8 3G before.

Yeah you won't get LTE on that tablet in the US. The International SM-T325, just like all other international unlocked Samsung LTE devices, specifically locks out US LTE bands. Samsung most likely does this on purpose because they don't want people importing them to the US and taking business away from their carrier partners. It's probably the same reason why they don't directly sell unlocked devices direct to US consumers like, for instance, HTC does. So, yeah, if you use one of those on any US carrier, the most you're ever going to see is HSPA+, unfortunately. When it comes to Samsung devices and LTE in the US, you either buy it from a carrier, or GTFO.
On that note, I really wish AT&T would launch the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 already. I want that tablet really bad, but refuse to buy a WiFi-only version

I hate AT&T and their lousy selection of Android tablets and even worse updates. I bought the Note 8.0 LTE and am still stuck on 4.1. Here's an idea. I bought a used TMobile Note 10.1 2014 LTE and unlocked it to run on AT&T. Now to sell the Note 8.0! I do miss the form factor, though.
Yeah I don't know what the hell happened with the Note 8.0 on AT&T. That 4.1.2 ROM still has that annoying freeze problem that Samsung fixed in the 4.2.2 update. Some variants of that tablet are getting KitKat now so hopefully AT&T and Samsung will actually roll this one out to the I467 since they skipped 4.2.2.

zombie thread, I know. Running our t325 on T-MO. I haven't heard of any dev coming up with a radio that'll enable speeds above hspa+. That's strange to me, because even back in the day of the Note 1 (original note ... not even called '1' ... because that's all there was) - there were dev's that managed to upgrade our international model to U.S. 4glte . . . . and when the note came out, lte was hardly even in its infancy stage. IIRC, at that time, T-MO only had one model that was 4g ... some little htc model with a slide keyboard. Maybe the international tab pro 8" is getting less attention because of KNOX ??? or because it's simply not as popular as other devices?
.

Note Pro 12.2 SM-P907A - OTA from AT&T???

Is anyone else getting an update on their AT&T Note Pro 12.2? Mine is still coming down - and is coming down slow. I wonder what this is.

Note 10+/5g/20

Hi,
Just wondering if there would be any difference between the Note 10+ and Note 10+5g(on 4g network only)?
Also, if it is worth waiting for the Note 11/20?
Many thanks,
Allen
