I AM having xperia m single sim
iwant to know that can i flash my phone with any other sony xperia model without unlocking bootloader.
if yes than ehat are disadvantages?
i want to flash my phone with sony xperia z stock firmware..
is it possible???
Do yo like that kill ur XM?
It's impossible...:sly:
Yeah u can flash Xperia M Dual c2005 frimware on to ur Xperia M Single and flashing the frimware will get u android 4.2.2 + u don't need to be rooted or have a unlocked bootloader check this thread for more info
The only other firmware you can flash is the Xperia m duel firmware, you go to do any other Xperia firmware you will brick the device possibly to the point of it just being a paperweight so no you can't flash just any other firmware
Also please post questions in the correct section not in general!

if my phone bricked than can i recover flashing original stock rom ????????
Depends on how bricked it is, if connecting phone to pc through usb with volume down button and the led lights flash then you should be able to reflash a stock firmware using flashtools

I'm the new owner of the xperia arc , i've tried to look for questions about my issue, i've bought my xperia from a stranger ,the phone box is branded with Vodafone Spain, the phone is unlocked ( the method he used i don't know) and it has android version 2.3.2, if i try to make a software update with Pc Companion it will remain unlocked or not ??? can pls somewone help me ?
million tnx !
try and connect using fastboot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133650 , if you can then the bootloader is unlocked and you can't use the update service, you'll have to flash using flashtool/fastboot, they're in the same thread, but you can flash a pre-rooted img. if you can't connect to fastboot, you may have to root after every upgrade.

I suggest you .58 enhanced v2 over .62 bcoz it gives 420 mb data partition and easily rootable if you want to keep root.

so when i want to unlock bootloader, right before when my devices want to reboot, suddenly, flashtool won't detected my devices because my USB cable were dislodged from pc. and my xperia m bootloop. and i'm re-flashing again with FW 15.4.A.0.23 and so bootloop is gone. but the problem is, my xperia M won't detected any signal from my sim card, but before my devices bootloop, my xperia m can detect signal from my sim card. so anyone knows how to fix it?
nb: sorry for bad english
