So I noticed today that my keyboard secondary symbols on all the letters are missing. They were there yesterday. Since then, I have rooted the phone, installed Xposed Framework, Wanam, Multi Window Manager, and RootCloak. Somewhere between then and now, they have disappeared. Anybody have any ideas?
I have enabled Keyboard symbols in Wanam and rebooted, doesnt seem to change anything.
Thanks in advance!

Did you both try going into actual input settings and not just wanam to check if symbols are enabled on keyboard?

Yeah I did. I have since jumped ship for the SwiftKey beta since it has an optional number row like the Samsung keyboard and I like the autocorrect better.

I had SwiftKey on all my phones prior to this one, but I fell in love with the dedicated number row and SwiftKey didn't have that at the time. Now all is good

The problem is in the feature.xml file in system/csc. Xposed and/Wanam alter that file and remove the secondary symbols. I just backed up the original file then copied it over the changed one after I installed xposed and Wanam. Problem solved.
Thanks for the input everyone.

Thank you I had this problem and couldn't figure out why as I didn't mess with any keyboard settings in wanam. Your file worked thank you. On another note I see a features.xml.bak and a features.xml.backup in the csc folder as well.

I'm running 4.3 stock rooted on the us tmobile note 3 (SM-N900T). I had the same issue with both the secondary symbols disappearing and the space-to-accept autocorrect/complete being unavailable. Both after I had installed the Wanam xposed module. After doing a little digging into the xml file mentioned in this thread I found the line that appears to have fixed the autocorrect issue for me.
<CscFeature_Sip_DisableAutoCorrection>false</CscFeature_Sip_DisableAutoCorrection>
This was about 1/3 the way down in the file for me and was set to true. Changed it to false and my autocorrect is back

Modfied Samsung Keyboard.
Thanks to (Arsaw) for the smali edits.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2110841
Was able to modify the smali settings to enable:
*Long press from 500ms to 300ms
*System Font same as keyboard Keys
*Auto correction enabled.
*Space bar enables Highlighted words.
*Backup your Current Samsung Keyboard!*
*To Enable secondary keys you must have a Rom that has the feature.xml included..
Or add one to SYSTEM/CSC folder. Must change permissions and owner.. Reboot
Feature.xml http://www.mediafire.com/view/?c0hbhfcbuac0rv6
Place APK in SYSTEM/APPS change Permissions and Owner to Root/Root...And Reboot. ..and remember to enable samsung keyboard..
*Modified Apk alone*

*Flash zip*

Yeah, Clean 4.5. Flashed your mod in TWRP. Weird thing, though. ..my battery is now stuck at 28%. Would this have monkied with the 1% battery increments?

Strange.. it shouldn't have anything to do with that..The zip only contains the apk and a script to install it and to change permissions...The keyboard is modfied with some smali edits... But might have just been coincidence..
No worky on SkyNote. Side loaded, set permissions, set owner, rebooted. Android was set as default, set Samsung, no keyboard. Rebooted to twrp, wiped caches, fixed permissions, no joy. Went into app manager, wiped caxhe and data, still no worky.
Can confirm keyboard works with clean rom 4.5. Good job wish.

The option is available in root explorer, just long press it. I've noticed one issue with the keyboard. If you don't spell a word the way the keyboard has it, it will continue to auto correct no matter what, instead of allowing you to add the word.

Try this apk.
Don't install like an app. Rename SamsungIME.apk in System/App to SamsungIME.apk.bak.
Copy the apk and fix permissions (rw-r-r) and reboot.
Should be good as new. (Bonus, this has auto correct).
Thanks so much! Stupid question: you mean I rename the file currently on my phone right?

Yes. No need to delete it, just rename and copy new one over. If you don't like or prefer to go back, delete new one, rename old file back to original and reboot.

Language not downloading what worked for me:
- Installed zip did not wipe anything.
- Set as default in system/device/language and input
- Open anything that brings up the kb and except predictive setup.
- Go to manage apps and turn off the LG keyboard (if installed)
- return to settings for kb select input language and it will download. Our at least it did for me.
I tried several different procedures and the above is what worked. And you can turn the LG KB back on and the Samsung keyboard still works.

There needs to be certain apks on the device, if you are using a custom ROM, those apks may be deleted.
For reference, the dial codes on Samsung Roms seem to be died to the DM APKs. There are about 3 of them

I'm rooted and on stock self debloated and my dialer codes still work.
I know that HiddenMenu.apk is the actual apk that holds all the activities inside it. There then is another service/receiver that actually listens to the numbers being dialed inside the dialer.

This is what I found seem to be related to Dialer codes, somehow:
Samsung DM * (both phone interface and Service)
HiddenMenu
Phone / Dialer (depending on rom)
Somehow these are all intertwined to work together.
The DM apks are responsible for the actual interaction between the dialer codes and the network (i.e. PRL Updates), but are also somehow linked to the function working. Ill play around with the apks a bit more and try to gather some more info.

If this takes care of this for you and so that others can know that this has been resolved, please advance edit the OP and tag the topic with the word <SOLVED> and something in post #1 as well with the resolution. Users have quite the limited attention span, they wont bother reading for the solution, they'll just ask instead of looking.
