Applications always opening even though you dont open it like facebook,messenger etc. Specially when wi fi is on. It causes my phone to hang.. Tsk

use link2sd or romtoolbox or any other app that would do eother 2 of these freeze the app or delete it....

Probably it goes to push mode. Make sure you really exit it so it doesn't open when people pm you.
Anyway, why didn't you just post at faq if you knew you aren't supposed to make new threads for questions.

ofcourse that the point of freezing....i think what you need is juicedefender pro....then disable all other receiver for app except for tge one when you do open the app...fotgot if its really juicedefender or somw batt saving app....idea is your fircing the app not to be on background

You always create a thread bro..i think you should not use your phone anymore so that you will not have a problem anymore!! lol!
Go to task manager and manualy force stop your applications.
Hope this thread will close.

You know what. Juice defender kill my wifi connection . That's why i join here in xda to solve my problems. Even i uninstalled juice defender, the wifi doesnt work anymore.. Tsk

Use a2sd to save internal memory,
Be sure to exit unused app like sms,music,etc,
Check your ram usage at the task manager,
I also have a fb messenger and a simsimi that automatically when the wifi is open,but my phone did not hang.

No offense bro but sometimes we need to be smarter than the phone....we shouldnt be like apple users who pretty much looks for an app for everything like brushibg teeth cutting nails etc...hope you gey my point....
For me i dont use fb app i use dolphin instead...betyer that way

After a few hours of clearing ram. At first. The free ram is 160,then158,156,147,143,130,129,126,120,116,110,106,100,99,98. Tsk. Need to turn off again to get back to 160

Hi guys . I just wanna ask if all of you experiencing this. (Not only me).
This past days. Android market changed to google play. If i open google play some of the apps says, "This applicatiln is incompatible with you're device" . Not like android market, it only shows the applications compatible with you're device. Do you experiencing it guys?

Media Scanner on my Galaxy Y wont stops! :'(

Hii guys help me please. I flashed ICS Fusion ROM on my Galaxy Y and that was good and fine. After 2-3 hrs when I installed an application "UFO Camera" & "IB Internet Speeder & Booster (contains airpush)"., I uinstalled but then my media scanner won't stops. plz help me!!!!! pleaseeeee ... i dont wanna go back to stock rom, any other ideas on how to fix it?? :'(

no it can't..
It can't be a bug..i have also tried formatting of sdcard. it just happened in ICS fusion after installing "ufo camera" from play store. when it installed, media scanner started automatically, so I uninstalled but still my not gone ..:'( is this a Virus or Malware? my AVG PRO says that "you are protrcted" help plzzzz..

That ufo camera may be problem. You can try an app called rescan media root and disable media scanning.

Play store and it stops Media Scanning. Even at boot it wont run. If you want to media scan again you need to manually open the app.

WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF MEDIA SCANNING AND ID UFO CAMERA A VIRUS? NO ANTIVIRUS DETECTED IT AS A VIRUS BUT STILL IT US NOT SAFE..:-/ ? Thnx.. pleaseeee reply mr..

[Q] Phone won't let me install apps

I have Aptoide for my S2, and I tried downloading an app (Clear Vision). When it finjshed , I tried to hit install, but it wouldnt let me. Now, when I try to install third party apps, I can't hit install. I have the P.A.C Man ROM installed. Help please.

did you select "install from unkown sources" from the settings menu?

No its a game but I didn't want to pay for it so iy s considered a third party app since I didn't get it from the play store and now no third party apps will install

be careful getting apps from sites especially if it is something that is free that otherwise costs money on the market the new thing is to embed malware in to a legit package [it runs what it should like the game it says it is] it just happens to have malware embedded with the game.
This would make sense as it would want to try to stop you from installing AV software and it may not be able to stop the market [they have been adding AV stuff and other security slowly] so it stops you where it can.
Now not to say some other issue happened that caused this but it is VERY odd that right after you install an app you are supposed to pay for, but got for free and all of a sudden your device just doesn't allow software installs.

The thing is though it won't install ANYTHING I get outside of the Play Store. If I wanted GameGuardian, it wouldn't let me install it even though I had it before with the same ROM and everything. The only fix I found was to completely reinstall the ROM, and I don't want to reinstall all the apps again.

Do you have any apps running in the background? I remember on my amaze having screen filter on didnt let me click install either.

I didn't see any apps that would stop the apps from installing

Thats what I'm trying to avoid because I don't want to reinstall all the apps again.

When I try to install setcpu downloaded from 4shared.com, i try to click install but it doesn't do anything. Any help?
EDIT: Found the problem. I have screen adjuster running and for some reason turning it off lets my phone install apps again.

This kind of things are not allowed on xda.

If you are using manual time settings, change it to auto.

had this problem a while ago, I've been running an SSH tunnel to get to Gstore (no google store access for my country), and at some point it stopped even running at all, always crashing
the usual remedy is to do the following :
go into airplane mode
go into the app manager
look for google play : force stop/clear data&cache
look for google framework : force stop/clear data&cache
delete your google account from device
restart
once reboot is done, exit airplane mode, re-add your google account and try again, this worked for me once, then was useless
the next fix I tried was almost the same, except I replaced my own ssh tunnel with a vpn service (psiphon 3 in my case) and never had any problems since then
