few days ago i have installed my htc one x to stock mode, and eveything was fine, but today (dunno why if someone want to ask) i trid to update again but hboot from 1.36 to 1.39 which was again successful.....but after that after turning my phone on i realise that i dont have wifi and network signal.
and thts where all started,i did everything and anything and no luck.
now i see that even my radio is changed from 5.1204.162a.29 and i think it was 3.1204.162.29.
whn im trying to acces to stock recovery all i see is a red triangle with the phone....i cant even install custom recovery.
i tried a million of different firmwares etc etc but nothing.....phon is functional and everything is fine exept no wifi and network signal.
also tried to back again on stock rom with this ruu RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed
after rebooting i see HTC on display but when im trying to update its sais phone is not conected.
now insted of 3.14.401.27 i see another werion in ruu program 3.20.401.1
someone plz help me step by step how to this problem.
for any other info just ask.
phone is htc__032 tegra 3
and thanx
Don't know where you fcuked up but I can suggest a way out of this mess. Flash cwm recovery via fastboot. Grab a nandroid backup for your CID and hboot version and restore it. Don't forget flash boot.img
Nandroid backups

And if you need the exact correct version number you get it via :
Fastboot getvar version-main

Stock recovery is not helpful, the triangle is normal because it's stock. To restore or install something you ALWAYS need a custom recovery.
Download another x.xx.401. Nandroid that matches your main ! Do not look at your cid for now !
And read how to restore it in the OP. Flash the boot.img AND the recovery.img from the nandroid, place the nandroid unpacked on the sdcard in it's specific dir. Full wipe and restore the nandroid.
And make sure the bootloader is unlocked, flashing with a locked/relocked bootloader will always fail !

Hi all,
I was on stock 1.26 then unlocked rooted and installed CWM.
I made a backup with cwm, and then installed CM9. I'm going to return my One X and want to restore the backup. My question now is, do I need and boot.img first before I can restore my backup? During the backup process CWM said 'backing up boot image..' So will it restore it as well?
Thanks in advance....

No just restore your backup, flash stock recovery and then re-lock bootloader.
Help (if anyone can)
Hi, noob here (registration wise) been lurking for a year of so now.
First up I want to say I am not totally new to everything, I have rooted, flashed all sorts of roms etc on other models but my issue is with returning to stock on an HTC One X. I am hoping either someone can help me or at least tell me no one can at the moment.
I have done a number of searches and tried various things none of which have worked I am currently romless (no os installed when checked last on twrp) however since then I have also tried flashing a rom.zip so no longer have twrp at the moment but hopefully can still install it as I can get into fastboot.
My device is on Voda UK so currently it doesnt have an ruu that I can find the only thing I found was this a 3.14.161.27 rom zip which I tried flashing but while it flashed it just stays on the htc screen (it seems quite small and didnt have a system image in so wasnt sure if it was even complete)
My question is can I do anything with a nandroid backup if I can find one to get a uk stock even if its not Vodafone (or does it have to be Voda) if so can anyone point me to a dl? if not can anyone suggest anything to try or am I going to have to try and flash a custom rom again and not be on stock until a ruu is made if one is.
Thanks in advance for any guidance

Hi,
Version-main is 3.14.161.27 (that zip i tried earlier was meant to be the latest files) cid is vodap001
Oke so the zip is a nandroid backup ? Of so, you need to unpack it !
Check here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
It has your nandroid backup, in the OP you also get a description where to put it on the sdcard !
With the recovery i sent you, you can mount the sdcard as a mass storage device and copy it over

so does it not matter that the version number of a nandroid backup is lower than my version main? (sorry for the question this nandroid backups are the one part of this side of thing I am not familiar with)

ok thanks I just looked at the initial post and saw vodap001 was lower than my version (hence why my question) but then searched the thread and saw the vodap102 can be used on mine and that is the same version.
Yes it should be compatible......but you can also restore a lower matching version and restore the stock recovery afterwards and update to JB again !
If you want to be 100% sure it works , go for option 2 .... Restore the lower one and update again

I am with network three in the UK. So I cant use the european RRU.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think i did the same thing - having waited months for 3 uk to release jb update i reverted my phone back to stock ics ruu (downloaded from xda) and updated to jb via 3 uk ota, then after getting 1.39 hboot i unlocked and flashed renovate rom in such a hurry forgot to take a backup!
wouldn't worry though as we're not likely to see anothe hboot update before dev for the phone stops! just make sure you have a cwm backup of a working version of your phone and all will be good.. unless i've got the wrong end of the stick
Don't worry ? I would worry if i where you, im kinda shocked you say things like this. What about a hardware defect and you want to send it in for warranty.....ever considered that !
Always make sure you can go back to stock !
And about the hboot update.....you never know, its HTC !
I was also so frustrated with three and the update fiasco, I forget to make a backup. :banghead: I don't think the one x will be getting any further updates anyways.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I think it will
Is it still not out, I need an RUU for the same version too!

So he needs 1 lower nand and do at least 1 ota to pull the cid right !

This is something new for me why it is not possible to relock the bootloader you have the same base you don't backup CID or HBOOT you backup system and data. But if it is true I will know for future. Thanks Mr Hofs
When he restores a different cids nand and relocks the bootloader the phone boots only to the bootloader with a warning.
But after 1 official update with an unlocked bootloader the cid will be correct and the bootloader can be relocked.

Easiest way now is to restore the nandroid backup you probably didn't make before messing around with the superuser.zip !

Well you need a stock nandroid backup that has the same main version number 4.19.720 and restore it. As long as you don't have that you can't go back to stock. But there are custom roms based on pure stock looks. You can install that too.

You can't install anything like that via fastboot if phone is locked...you need to be unlocked and for the latest cm roms like cm 11 that recovery is too old... He can unlock too, flash a recovery make a nandroid backup without flashing another Rom and there is your backup

Other roms installs the same way as CM. Flash the boot.img make a full wipe and install the rom.zip....done
Here is the nandroid backup for HTC 038 4.19 - https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B3ipMMzpaJW4bGpMVTRNRHFpOUk/edit
But they're seperate files and you need to download them all and place them in the right folder.

i have flashed the android revolution hd rom. this rom is the perfect one, just the same as htc stock rom.you guys were really helpful.i would like to know many things about kernel and kernel flasher. what kernels actually does? i tried search the forum but couldn't find a simple post about it.
i like using android, and i wanna know most of it if i can.......thanks
Simple explanation, the kernel and hboot function sort of as a bios of a pc. It interacts with the software.
A kernel flasher....you don't need that if you flash the boot.img (kernel) straight from fastboot. The flasher does the same.
Hello,
I have buyed Htc One X Vodaphone/Sfr operator, French.
Can i S-off it to change CID VODAP203 ?
I want to install an official HTC Rom.
Someone can tell me how to do ?
Thanks
No s-off only paying for that and only in England or Russia...you can take a nandroid backup for your cid/mainversion ...the nandroid collection thread should be in general or android development section...please go there, search for the thread, it should be on first page and take the one you need for your phone...it's also easy to restore! Enough threads/guides for that in general

I'm very sorry but still don't know what to do !!
So i can't install official HTC Rom if i'm with this cid VODAP203.
Yes you can. You must download the nand backup from that thread, unpack it and put it on the sdcard. Flash the recovery.img and boot.img from the nand backup and make a full wipe in the recovery and restore the backup.
