so i have been working with the xperia Z status bar on the xperia play and i noticed that i cant pull the status bar down when the phone is in fullscreen mode like a game. Seeing how this has been ported from a xperia Z on JB OS i doubt sony would leave out something like that.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to enable that feature in this status bar like via apk deconpile, edit recompile?
and i dont want any third party apps.

Hi to all.
Can someone help me how to edit my SystemUI to get fullscreen statusbar when the notification bar is scrolled down? Like in Xperia Z, but i don't like the SystemUI from Xperia Z.

Hiya.
I wanted to ask whether there is an option in the Settings or an update of Nexus 7 that makes the notifications bar on top and the three buttons on the bottom of the screen transparent? Or the ability to "autohide" the buttons underneath similar to the G2 and the Xperia phones?
What good launcher can you guys recommend for the Nexus 7 so as when in landscape i can make full "use" of the 7-inch screen? (especially when watching movies of playing games?
Please advice. Thank you.
Auto hide of the Navigation bar and status bar is not a new thing in android, any decent player like BSPlayer has an auto hide option for this bars , also as far as gaming there is immersion mode in Kitkat that apps and games can use if the developers enables so .. and transparent nav bar and status bar are part of the Now launcher, and i think Nova and Apex should support it also.

I did not know the autohide feature for Android has been around for a while. I was only aware of the current 4.4.2 OS of my Xperia Z1 (and i believe the LG G2 as well) that enables autohide of the nav bars on the bottom and notifications on top but not that of the Nexus 7. All the videos i have seen on Youtube all shows the black bars still there.
As regards the launchers you mentioned will it be a matter of swiping it from above and at the bottom to access the buttons is that correct?
Some apps have built in immersive mode and then they can hide navigation bar with/without status bar. Or you can turn on immersive mode manually whenever you want with this app (no root required):

It seems like on certain apps, the device hides the status bar like it's in immersive mode and it's annoying when I want to glance up to check the time. Is there a way to stop it from doing this if I'm not rooted?
Download holo themer once you changed the theme the status bar will stay there forever ☺??
The new lollipop update has just been officially updated on my new lg g3. But I've noticed a few different things that I'm now unable to change. One being a very annoying one! The top status bar and the bottom nav bar....
I use Nova launcher and there's a setting on there that if your device allows it that the top status bar will be set to full transparent (not just translucent)... this now no longer works?! Instead I have a dark overlay as the status bar and the same applies to the Nav bar. If I use the I.original home launcher then it does at least become translucent again with a gradient effect.
Is there any way to have a FULL translucent status bar again on lollipop without rooting it? As I didn't really want to have to root this phone. But these small UI changes make all the difference to me! I just can't understand why something like that would be taken away :-\
Try the Google Now Launcher After you install it, you can switch it from Settings > Home.
And if you'd be interestedin Nokia ZLauncher, it's a cool new thing, it's simple and minimal. it uses Try to download from Google Store if it says you can't or not compatible with your devide, you can grab the apk file from THIS THREAD
I hope this works for you. let me know.
where are you from ?
