I got problems with voice in some applications like skype, viber after updating to 4.3 (569). the phone, magicjack are working well.
both skype and viber work well with messages when connecting to the other party but no voice and no sound on both ends. in google translate app the microphone doesn't work either: "no connection for speech input".
Any idea what is the problem and how to resolve it.
I tried to reinstall the ROM twice - but the same result. On 4.2 it works.:crying:

is sound video recording working if its working then do a factory reset otherwise mic must be damaged

microphone working with video recorder, with phone and magicjack applications. when I returned to 4.2, everything returned back to normal. it happens only when I install 4.3

I've flashed several different roms...doing appropriate wipes prior to flashing. Everything works great aside from the 4g Camera flash issue and what looks to be a problem with the voice recorder stock app when you go to record and attach a voice memo to a MMS. It pulls up the voice recorder app but it does nothing...acts like it's frozen. Anyone else have this problem?

I just upgraded my phone from GB to ICS 4.0.4. I was running Juggernaut ROM before, but I did a backup and factory reset in CWM recovery before installing 4.0.4.
Everything seems to be working well except for outgoing calls in Google Voice. I have my GV set to "Use for all calls." When I make a call, it shows the GV routing number, instead of the number I dialed. This is true for the call log too. This happens regardless of where I call from: using the keypad or from the contact list. Incoming calls are working fine. This definitely was NOT happening in 2.3.x, and I had been using it for many months without this issue. Has anyone seen this, or know if there's a fix?

There's an app in the Play store that will fix this problem for Android phones. Just search the Google Play store for "GV Outbound Call Log Repair"
I have the Google Dialer installed and working. The phone will take cell tower codes and execute them. I also have a working sip account setup in the dialer that makes and receives calls fine.
What I don't have is this:
I have a BlueAnt T3 headset. It pairs fine, but the only option is media use. Even after I select that and try to dial a number the dialer will switch back to the nexus speaker for output, then when I hang up it switches back to the headset. What am I doing wrong?

I have a Nexus 7 Deb, running unlocked and rooted stock 4.4.2 KVT49L with a Verizon Phone SIM. What dialer are you using? I have tried a few phone.apk files from other devices with no luck at all.

it's so weird that bluetooth works, but the instant I make a call it switches back to the nexus internal speaker.

I think I have that installed, I installed xposed and the sms mod, but I cannot send MMS. If I try to make a call using hangouts or with google now it just hangs, and I have tried to install the phone.apk from other devices and they will not install.
I think the MMS failures are from wrong APN settings in either the device or the hangouts app. But my APN settings in android are missing, and the APN settings in hangouts do not save, (a known reportedly fixed bug.)
I also used TitaniumBackup to remove the "BasicSMSReceiver" so that I dont get double notifications when I receive a SMS.
Where do I get a actaul phone dialer apk?
I sucsesfully installed skype and I can log in but I am not able to do skype calls, as soon as I try to call someone in my contact list it crashes. Anybody else have this problem????

Yes...i get the same.
Selecting contact works but as soon as i want to make a video call it states....Unfortunately, Skype has stopped.
Then i went to Setting / Apps / Skype and gave it all permissions and problem went away.

I tried changing permissions but it is still the same. I haven't tried video calling but its definitely crashing when I am calling
FWIW, no troubles doing Skype video calls for me.
Hi everybody!
i have a problem when making video calls using apps like Duo, Messener... seems to be losing voice so my friend can't hear my voice, or hears very low and echo . But when making voice calls on Duo or Messerger, the sound is normal. I also tried disabling Google assistant Voice match but it didn't fix it. I have also tried many rom versions from A10 to A11 all have the same situation, with stock rom A9 and A10, it is not the same. Can anyone help me, thanks!
