[Q] SXS Gray Triangle during start-up - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Guys. What should I do about the gray triangle with a wrench and a screwdriver forming a cross with a blue progress bar below? Everytime I turn my phone off, when it starts the triangle shows up. I've waited for it for an hour but nothing happened. Good thing though, I made a backup for the data, boot and all that stuff in TWRP. But when my phone shuts down normally, the problem (gray triangle) happens again. What should I do? Really need help.. Thanks in advance, guys.
Using stock .96 rom but I'm planning to flash existenz black v2 later.

I had similar problem with stock ROM but also with some unofficial ROMs. When I used many aplications or play games and my mobile getting slower I rebooted it and than triangle appeared. But after few seconds it disappeared.

Mine just keeps on going even after a few hard resets. Damn man. I really don't know what to do with this.

Try doing a clean flash of any stock based ROM. and when first time the triangle comes just wait for it to disappear..
just after installing a new ROM don't install any apps just wait for 5 min and do a restart.. den use your phone normally. Hope it helps.

I did try that, flashing the stock rom for .96 but to no avail still Now I'm just keeping my phone alive at all cost because if it shuts down normally (using the power button), the gray thing shows up again

[Q] stuck on bootloop/ stock defy

NOOB here. Looking for some serious help.
OK. back for round 2. Tried to install the froyo rom, followed instructions and when using system recovery,it said installing; stood that way for 2 1/2 hrs than battery died ( when started battery was full ) when I tried to restart ( had a backup battery full power ready ) it'll show me the M sign for motorola, it'll show the blur right next to it, than goes to the next screen showing the tmobile stuff, when the pink box becomes a full pink square, it reboots and doesitall over again. Tried doing a soft and hard reset, when I say ok apply update.zip, it says can't pass verification.
Also, when I plug the phone to charge, shows me a black battery with a question mark inside of it.
Is there an update.zip that I can use? As far as I know I'm still stock.
What to do, this is already my second phone, first one died when doing a backup. Don't know if I'm still good on warranty anymore. So, can I fix it or am i screwed???
Which rom you are trying to flash? In this case, you should flash a "boot only" sbf.
its update-cm-6.3.5.3-MilestoneXT720-KANG-signed
but i think its not for this phon !!
open recovery not wirking too !!
im stuck !!

Every ROM bootloops

I have attempted to flash multiple ROMs via CWM and everyone results in a bootloop, I am normally rather tech savy and believe I am installing them properly. Each time I have to flash back to stock via Odin. I am rather lost as I don't know where to start with the problem (Which results in a lack of explanation)
What other information may be needed to try to solve this?
I have primarily tried Juggernaut http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322642

Is it actually boot looping or just getting stuck on the logo??
Mine has taken as long as 10 minutes setting on the logo after a new rom flash ...
I assumed a boot loop was classified as the logo repeating over and over, as this is what is going on. When I attempted CM7 the blue circle/arrow just spun for 15+ minutes and with Juggernaut the "splash" colors thing just repeats over and over. No other screens appear.
Boot Loop, in my experience, has been when the logo is shown for a few minutes and then a quick (up to 30 seconds) black screen, phone vibrates and then the logo appears again repeating ad nauseam.

Yeah that is a boot loop ... the logo just hanging , is not a boot loop ..
I know it sounds strange, but try putting jug 4.1 and say the Faux123 kernel both on the phone, flash jug and then the kernel, then do a clear dalvik cache, and a fix permissions, then reboot, and let it sit for 10 - 30 minutes, I know it sucks ...
Can I flash these via odin somehow? Can no longer get into CWR after this last attempt.

I would Odin back to stock, root via odin, and then flash the superuser zip , there is a tutorial on it , I don't have the link handy ...

My turn to brick my Defy?

Up to two days ago I was happily running CM 7.2 on my German Defy.
The claims of many that CM 10 alpha is good enough for daily use tempted me to try upgrading.
I made a nandroid, installed Quark's CM 10 daily build and started playing around.
A few apps crashed, which I did not like and my 32GB class 10 SDcard didn't seem to work as expected, acting as if it was a 16 GB card.
So I decided to return to CM 7.2.
My mistake is presumably that I expected restoring the nandroid would be enough. I ended up with the Defy stuck in the Google startup screen. So I downloaded RSD Light and an SBF, assuming flashing the phone would fix the issue. Well, it doesnt...
- If I flash a Jordan 2.51 SBF, I remain stuck with a black screen and the phone seemingly not doing anything at all.
- If I flash a Jordan 3.4.2 SBF RSD Lite states 'Please manually power up this phone' and 'In process...' while the phone displays a glowing Android logo. Nothing else happens. I pulled the battery to reboot the phone but it remains stuck in the screen with the glowing Android logo.
I've read many posts here but can't seem to find one that describes my issue. Has anyone got any idea how to proceed now?
Just go to stock recovery wipe data and cache and reboot again...it will work....for doing that.....press volume down button and then press and hold power and volume down button till android toy shows up.....then wipe data as I said....then do all the works of rooting....
Btw.....do not blame cm10 fr ur errors....problem with high class SD card is well known.....abt app crashes before blaming u should wipe cache/dalvik cache or reinstall app ......most of the errors are due to that.....or try fixing permissions in Cwm
Done

Thanks!
I had already tried this but something must have gone wrong. Your suggestion made me retry and this time I did get to see the toy Android icon. My Defy is up and running again.
I have the same problem whatever of the stocks sbf i try to install nothing happens just displaying the logo and please power up this phone.. in process. And after i try to go to stock recovery it appears just little android toy with big yellow exclamation mark in white triangle. Any ideas.

Once you are at the little droid push the UP and DOWN volume buttons simultaneously to go to the recovery menu. You can then wipe data which should give you a phone that starts properly again.

stuck on black screen after flashing rom

I was running the new version of Hyperdrive until the mms stop sending so I decided to go to Goodness. Originally I could not get any rom to flash from the internal or external memory, so I pulled the sd card wiped everything and reinstalled my backup of carbon from trwp. After I confirmed the phone was working properly , i downloaded and placed goodness onto my internal memory (ext sd is not in right now) , and flashed no problem. Now the phone boots the Samsung logo, the goes into the Goodness boot animation, then goes black. I left it sitting for 30 min and nothing. Did a battery pull and nothing. So finally, I tried to get back into recovery mode and i cant. I hold volume up+home+power and the phone displays the blue script that shows recovery, then the samsung logo, then boots right back into the Goodness boot animation. How can I get back into twrp? Ive searched high and low for answers but cannot seem to find the answers to my problem. Thanks
Can you get into download mode? If so, reflash your recovery and try again.
Did you wipe in between flashes?

between hyperdrive and carbon I did a full wipe. Between carbon and Goodness I didnt. i figured I would be ok since I installed nothing but the os and gapps. I had done it other times with no problems and figured this time would be the same.

Well I was able to unroot and re root my phone again. To answer the question though the boot animation would go on for 20-30 seconds and then the screen would stay black. No noise, no touch control, no indication that the power was on. When placed on the charger, the led wouldn't even display.
So is it all working now?

Make sure you redownload it, just in case it was a bad download.. you never know. I know it is time consuming but worth it.

[Q] BIG Trouble. Need help.

Well, I have a rooted phone. Like an idiot I deleted some files from the Busybox .bin directory because Busybox said it had found more than a version of Busybox. Ok, after I deleted one version or so I thought, Busybox prompt me up with some message like Big Problem. Well, I restarted my phone wich was working fine at the time, but after restart won't start, I only see the pink led and SONY logo for a few seconds and then the SONY logo fades, and it does that like 5 times and then the red led appears and stays like this for a few minutes wile plugged in ofcourse, and then again the pink led and so on with SONY logo fading away not starting up. What to do?
I am downloading the firmware right now. I hope that with Flashtool I can flash it. My phone is plugged in and is booting, well trying to boot continuously, when SONY logo appears after a second disappears and also I can see the pink led. Although I can put the phone in recovery also in flashmode I cannot start it, I hope that I can flash another firmware on it.
Tried flashing, not working. What now?

Do you have zip data in your internal memory? try yo flash it using CMW. or if this way didn't work try to press power button and volume up together until your phone vibrate 3 time.
SOLVED [ Flashing custom ROM with Flash Tool ]
It was very hard to do because my battery was 0% and not charging at all,but I managed to keep the phone in Flash Mode through the flashing process.
