Best Touchwiz 4.3 Kernel? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Looking for a jellybean kernel thats atleast current or something for my girlfriends new note 2 (sprint variant)
Im really wanting fast charge for her phone.
Thanks.

If you read through a few of the 4.3 threads or browse the original development section you will find out there is only two touchwiz kernels. 1 stock 1 custom (a work in progress).

Ahh ok thanks! Ill keep an eye out.

Check out devil kernel. As I said it is still a wip so if I were you I would read the whole thread (5-6) pages and wait for a stable tw release. Atm it starts handsfree activation on every boot. The developer has figured out the issue but has not made a new build yet.

what ROM should i get if i want touchwiz?

i just rooted my phone and i'm ready to install a custom rom, what i basically want is a debloated with touchwiz rom, additional features/options would be better
The one you get after searching lol, but seriously just look in the Dec section not og dev, the other one and then just read. I suggest something of DjIntrigue

Rom66 is good and comes rooted

Try out FrostyJB, seems to be pretty popular around here
Wicked_V6 is good comes with 2 themes red & blue. Extremely stable, good battery life and when you install it gives options to install some goodies.

FrostyICS. This is the reason why.

Seems like in general if you want good battery life go with a near-stock ICS rom, frosty is a good one but there are several to choose from. I'm currently trying serenity 1.2 LITE right now, it's pretty nice so far but I've only been using it a few hours.
After finally getting rooted yesterday (woohoo!), I flashed Stock sX v3.0. Awesome.

I would try anything from Wildchild. He mods stock ROMs both ICS and JB and they work great. I'm running the Xquizit xD v31(JB) and couldn't be happier. You can find it in the gs3 development forum.
Battery life is good and v 31 comes with all the tools you might need. You can also flash the Kitchen v 10 with it to customize your ROM.

Temporary do to someone stealing his work and it is a downer in general, besides we are on the verge of Official JB. So no point in spending so much time working on a rom that will be rebased and redone all over.

Can ATT devs port your wonderful roms to tmo note 2?

If only I know how to port,
You guys have so many options to choose from, we only have like 3 or 4 to choose from and they are all TW
Hoping the wondering devs here can port like aosp, aokp, cm10, 10.1. Or even miui
It will be greatly appreciated!!

It would probably be better to ask your devs to port those roms. Since they know what files would be needed.

Hey studying up on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411 may be a good place to start. Naturally since this is a att forum the files to be inserted would come from an att ROM but I don't see why it wouldn't work if you substituted T-Mobile files in place of the att replacement ones wouldn't work. It will open up a bunch of tw based ROMs but it'll give ya a good learning experience for one day working in aosp if your interested in it. Hopefully some more people interject on this because I think it would be beneficial to all of our forums to get this solid.

it's coming, the family is working on something, but it is TW based to start. dunno where it'll go from there, but there will not be any barf green
cooking a rom / theming ports etc take time and we all have lives outside of xda. patience is rewarded

In most cases your modem is not effected by flashing our roms. You only flash a modem if you loose your data connection. Im not sure about kernels but I dont think that would effect anything either. Not on tmo so can't say fir sure.
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda premium
People with TMo have been flashing CleanROM just fine. I can't speak for the other ROMs, but I'm pretty sure they're all on the same base...which isn't even an AT&T base
Ya I'm on clean Rom

Virgin Mobile Galaxy S3 SPH-L10

I know this dosent have anything to do with the Virgin Mobile but in some ways it may.
It has been posted in android forums about being able to flash CM10.1 to the virgin mobile Galaxy S3 SPH-L10
suppose to have the same hardware as the sprint version can anyone confirm this Plesae I would love all the features to work. there is a stock
odin modem and also a stock flashable kernel too in the android forums in the section all things root virgin mobile Galaxy s3.
It would be awesome Devs would give this phone some love Thank You devs and guys. ps some one there also stated the had sucess with
the sprint cm10 rom:laugh:
This should be in the q&a section I believe. But if the Virgin mobile version of the s3 is exactly the same as ours, you should be able to flash any rom as long as you have your APNs correct

If they don't come from this forum, don't flash them. As far as your options, have a look in original dev.

Beanstalk 4.4 and now Mahdi 4.4 preview

Well I pulled a 500 gig hdd from my old dvr and figured it is time to get back on source builds. Anyone ever use beanstalk? Thinking this will be my first build if anyone would like to use this just post a reply. If enough people are interested i just might make it public.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Got device tree setup and building now!! If it works this thing will rock. For those who dont know beanstalk go check out a few of the builds on other devices. So far it has more than any other KK rom out there. Cyanfox, PACMAN, and BAM are second rate when next to this rom.
I'd flash anything you build and I'm sure others would appreciate your work too.

Always willing to test something new
Well it compiled without any issue. Just have to wait till my wife is done watching the Walking Dead on my Note 2 so I can test the build. If anyone wants to try this before I have a chance here is a link.

EDIT: Well it boots and only has a few minor issues. This thing is super bad a$$. One of my favorite features is the power widgets in notifications. I will work on a video of the ROM tomorrow. This will be one of the easiest videos since it has built-in screen recorder.
Got repeated fc on android.process.acore after the splash screen. Philz 6.07.9 factory reset new rom. Double checked md5.

Thanks for your hard work and effort in bringing these ROMs to the community. Although I tend to stay away from AOSP due to speaker volume issus I definitely will flash and take for a test drive.

Edit: the mahdi rom's volume seems on par with 4.2.2 roms and much louder than 4.4 roms
