Bootloader unlock allowed:NO!!! - Sony Xperia M

I originally had an xperia c1905 but cross flashed c2005 FW onto my device. What i find really annoying is that when i open the configuration in the service menu i find out that i cannot unlock the bootloader, ie, bootloader unlock allowed no. I haver read online and i have researched it, but other posts were made in 2013, i thought id ask ahain in 2014. Is there any possible way whatsoever of unlocking my phone's bootloader? will i ever be able to do it? Are there any modern ways that i might have missed?
Guys please dont tell me to send my phone to sony and they will unlock it for me. I have already tried it, but fot no response from sony. I have even contacted o2( my sim carrier) and asked about information on how to unlock, they told me that they cannot comment on that subject.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
If u have any information, i need your help, thank you!

As far as I know, no way of unlocking your bootloader if it says no. You still can try the regular bootloader unlocking procedure method, the only thing that may occur is it not working...

Or it can brick the device just leave it for now and wait for the time being there might be a way of doing it if it gets found if not the new firmware that's getting released shortly might lift the ban off the bootloader

I have the same problem. Please somebody need to find a way to unlock it. I bought my phone from Orange. I flashed the stock Sony's firmware and rooted it. I can't flash any CyanogenMod :crying: My old Galaxy Ace hasn't got any locks or something, installing custom roms was easy, but on this phone for me it's almost imposible...

I stumbled on a post on the Sony Talk forums the other day that stated if you carrier unlock your phone (so you can use any SIM card) and then flash an unbranded ROM the bootloader unlock status changes from No to Yes. This statement was made by a moderator on the forums and I have no idea how well the procedure will work.
Oh, the post was regarding the Z too so I'm not sure if it applies to the M.

[Q] Can anyone spare me moment to get me up to date re: ROM development?

Hi. I've been off the Arc ROM development scene for quite a few months but I'm back now and have been trying to read threads to get some idea of where we are up to now.
When I left, the boot-loader had been successfully unlocked and the phone rooted, Woohoo! Then we discovered that the SEUS threw its toys out of the pram if it met an unlocked handset, Bummer!
I see the situation re: SEUS and unlocked phones hasn't changed but I also see that someone has worked out a way to re-lock the bootloader.
Can we have a re-locked phone that is also rooted now? I would like to be able to use the SEUS updater but I want to keep my apps that require root access.
So if anyone can let me know what the current state of affairs is I'd be very grateful and have less headaches from reading miles and miles of posts!
Phil :-D
The namaste guide should help.

I know that you don't have to have an unlocked bootloader just to have root but what I would like to know is if I could unlock it to run some custom kernels for overclocking and then relock it for S E. updates ?
You can relock it and use SEUS.
But FlashTool will do it too without relocking it.

no, you can't unlock the bootloader (well that was what other people said when I asked, last year)

[Q] Xperia S - Any Progress Unlocking Bootloader

As subject says has there been any progress in being able to unlock the bootloader when it says "NO" on the phone ?
I really like my Xperia S, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated by Sony's snailpace updates. I'd love to put CM10.1 on it but currently have no way to :crying:
Thanks
Sorry, friend , but I don't think its possible.

I've heard that there might be small chance of unlocking fastboot by removing the netlock. However, I'm not sure. For some people, it was just necessary to flash another ftf...
BTW, I have the same problem as you and if I find a solution, I'll let you know...
Only SONY authorized service can do that for you, but there is a chance they won't.

[Q] How to unlock Xperia Play R800at bootloader?

Hi im DVE and I am new to this XDA stuff etc... I was wondering if anyone can help me out with how to unlock the Xperia Play At&t Bootloader so I can install ICS or Jellybean on my phone for I'm tired of and stuck using gingerbread 2.3 Any suggestions?
To my knowledge the R800at is the only model that does not let you use Sony's unlock site to unlock the bootloader. You need to hit up an XDA member by the name of Alejandrissimo and talk with him via Google Talk, he can unlock it for your remotely for free. Via the touchpoint method.
Check the Sony site and see if they are allowing AT&T users to unlock now:
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
Good luck.
Edit - Wotan Server has all the files you need to download and install the drivers for the Xperia PLAY to be recognized in your PC. It also will provide you with the files needed for Alejandrissimo to unlock your phones bootloader.
http://www.wotanserver.com/en/sony-ericsson/xperia-play-r800/unlock-tool/debranding-flash
Install the file listed on the above link, and when its installing it will install ALL drivers for Sony Ericsson phones. It will pop up several windows asking you to verify you want to install the drivers, select "ignore warning and install"... or however its read.
I appreciate your reply I really do I'm just sick of gingerbread and would like to try out custom roms one day lol!

If you want to take the full tour of custom roms, many do not require a unlocked bootloader. But for the best its best to unlock. Seriously if you get stuck, contact alejandrissimo, he is awesome. Very patient and will help you to unlock your phones bootloader.
Other Solutions to unlocking R800at bootloader?
I got another question to ask ya, what if I try this website:
fast gm (dot) com
It says to pay 5 dollars for a unlock code to get rid of the At&t off of my phone via network etc... will this unlock my bootloader as well?
I mean if anything or any website that states unlocking are they referring to the bootloader too?
I have a at&t r800at too i want to unlook
i want to unlook bootloader
me too! sick of gingerbread!
Thanks for telling me about Alejandrissimo. I have moved on to a Galaxy Note 3 N900T without ever trying custom ROMs on my old Xperia PLAY R800at (despite my constant frustrations with the generic North American R800a ROM). I wanted to experiment now that it's not my daily driver but I did not want to spend $30 at some unlocked site for a phone I'm not even using. The FTF method doesn't seem flexible enough to try everything I want to try.
unlock bootloader
Hi, is there posible to unlock bootloader for free?? Or a guide to unlock it??
If you want to unlock the bootloader go to the sony site. Or if you want to unlock for free use the testpoint method.
Test point is an old trick and there are many guides on youtube. Once unlocked it will appear to still be locked. However you cannot install all roms only the ones that have been converted. If you search LOopy in the forum you should find the thread whoch contains all the roms.
That is how I unlocked my r800at it also preserves drm.

It seems that you've worded that weird. I'm under the impression that sony still doesn't offer a way to unlock the r800at. Also, saying testpoint method is free, directly after, seems to infer sony charges for unlock. That, would also, be news to me heh.
But i also have unlocked my r800at bootloader with setool! Just tonight, also thanks to some info from your posts, thanks again.
This being the case, I think that services like Omnius, Wotan, and Alejandrissimo, should be referred to as either; "fastboot installation" or "fastboot unlocking". Bringing me to my original point, It seems sony; or maybe even the company of motherboard (i think qualcomm?), should have to release this "fastboot unlock/install". Recently a legislation deadline with carriers being forced to allow unlocks was met, feb 10 i think. I plan to link articles in a post soon.

If you unroot and relock your BL, they won't know you unlocked it.
The fact, that you requested the unlock code doesn't prove anything
In order to completely factory relock you device, you should first back up your TA partition before unlocking!
--> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598
That's right, you just get your unlock code, that doesn't automatically unlock your device. I recently got my phone back from repair, although I unlocked (and relocked) my bl I got a replacement phone, I didn't loose warranty.
Also, if you unlock, sony says you MIGHT loose warranty. I'm quite sure that they'll replace your device in case of hardware defect.
Xperia ZL, 4.3 Stock (.101), rooted
Problem solved thanks
