It works excellent. Thanks you.
Some Screenshots..

Will test out battery life and performance.

Good ROM. Setup wizard is pain: wouldn't let you use the phone without Google garbage, so I had to remove it. Uses slightly more ram than CM10 and has the same sip service bug: wouldn't go to sleep after the first call until reboot. All CM ROMs have this bug. They broke the usual addresses for power manager and if you change those, you can't boot. To work properly sip app developers must customize their apps and they don't want to...

Notification led working properly and is there a working FM radio included?

Rom looks nice, but no LTE working for me, recent apps does not work...it freezes once you try to open an opened app.
I restored my cm10 backup and now LTE is not working in CM10 as well... what can I do?
Edit- I get it, I need to flash kernel and radio back.

You don't need to flash kernel. No recovery flashing can touch your kernel which is protected by locked bootloader. Baseband may help, but unlike CM10, this rom has no network settings, so you need to do "4636" and set it to LTE/GSM, but occasionally it defaults to WCDMA only...

Sorry, I thought that GAPPs included by default may be convenient (but had forgotten you don't like them). I will not use them next time.

By the way, the rom creators definitely have a sense of humor. When you disable their boot animation in rom control, you get a message: Jerk. On the second try they tell you: OK, I concede, pink unicorns are for little girls...

Thank you very much, added them to the OP.

Are AOKP and CM still not enough? Then please feel free test PAC-man and SlimBean for LB (download as always from here) and give feedback (and if possible post screenshots).

Nope... Don't use SystemUI/framework patches from other ROMs.

Slimbean works. So far, have no problems and love debloat.
Someone else would have to try PAC.
Well. WIFI patch could be used with no problems. Framework.res: No way. I will make the patch based on sleambean framework.

Yes, SlimBean is really lightweight (~113 MB) while the PAC build has about 178 MB.
Here is SlimBean. I think we LB users have enough AOSP ROMs now. If you guys know other ROMs I could build, please do let me know though!

I believe Calendar app is missing from Slimbean build, but I am sure one can just push CM calendar to system/app with appropriate permissions.

These are battery life graphs after applying my 2 patches: over 23 hours of time with plenty of phone calls and 2 hours of screen time and still 39% left. You can't have it on stock roms. And Slimbean, to which I switched yesterday, has even better battery life.

Since we've been talking about slim ROMs, good battery life and such... I have something that you may like: AOSP!
EDIT: Too much of a burden, too many bugs to be ironed out. You better enjoy Slim, PAC and co.

You need to remove the first couple of lines from Meta-Inf/com/google/android/update-script where the software calls for LT28h. Because your phone is LT28i, flashing does not proceed...
Can somebody please list all Xperia Ion variants? I can then add them to the updater-script by default.
BTW, if somebody is interested... Here you can find some nice add-ons (untested).

They are LT28h, LT28i and LT28at. But I think it will be best just to remove the first lines and start with ui-print....
Is this themed at all? I somewhat prefer roms that are dark.

I think it is clearly Slimbean, the lightest, but gives you a lot of options including many tweak options (embedded in settings app) and dual pane. It also gives you the largest ram (I had 395 mb on start). All CM based roms sleep well if properly patched.

Original FM app gives error and force closes in CM10 rom by @MrGezz and other releases of djolivier doesn't come with FM app.
Only gap of giving up stock based rom (I'm Aoba black fan of u) is the fm radio unavailability and "call waiting of other party doesn't show when originating the call" issue of CM10. Hoping a good reply.
Build Prop issues on install attempt
Tried to follow @optimumpro method of deleting the buildprop but i realized that even after removing said lines, im not sure how to recompile.
So maybe @djolivier OP can fix the build prop lines in his next update.

Use 7zip to unzip, then noteplus to make changes and save. Then rezip using 7zip again. That's it.
I flashed rom sucesfully, runs smooth, awesome features but recent apps does not work. I try to open a recent app and phone gets frozen. Can it be fixed? I am loving this rom so far.
I have this bug on all of my AOSP(-derived) ROMs for LB... Haven't been able to fix it yet.
I have no such bug, but I removed a bunch of apps I don't use (anthal radios etc). Also, you should tinker with original settings and launcher settings.

[ROMS][KK][From Source] Sonic ROM [SOKP] & [PORTED] XenonHD & BeanStalk

Hello Everyone!!
So here is a new ROM I compiled yesterday, it does have a lot of features and it is called SONIC OPEN KANG PROJECT
I didn't open a new thread for it because I'm not gonna be updating it unless many users encourage me to do so...
Anyway I thought I should share it with you guys, for who ever wanna test it
Here is this ROM's features:
http://sonic-developers.com/?page_id=160
Also here is a quick review for the ROM:
And for more info visit their website:
http://sonic-developers.com
Download Link:
I've started uploading my files to androidfilehost.com , hoping you like it more than Dev-host
SOKP-MS-04-KK444-KTU84Q-20140726-amami.zip
Here are my screenhots as well:
Hello Guys,
Since our lovely Z1C is relatively new, it doesn't have many CM based ROMs, so I thought why not porting some
from the closest phone to ours (which is obviously Xperia Z1).
So I'll be presenting five ports for five ROMs as mentioned in the title, but I'm gonna start with a simple guide for how to port the ROM yourselves
All you have to do to port a CM11 based ROM from Z1 is:
Download the Z1 ROM and extract it wherever you want
Open META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script with any text editor and remove first five lines (assert)
Download This for old builds, and This for new builds, then unzip it
Copy and replace "boot.img" from the previous zip to your Z1 ROM
Copy and replace "modules" folder to system\lib\modules in your Z1 ROM
Open system/build.prop with any text editor and change this value:
Code:
# Graphics
ro.sf.lcd_density=480
to become:
Code:
# Graphics
ro.sf.lcd_density=320
that is it, although there are optional things you may do before compressing the ported ROM:
In system/build.prop search for honami and replace them with amami
And then search for C6903 and replace them with D5503
Also you may wonna add "Compact" here:
ro.product.model=Xperia Z1 Compact
Click to collapse
You may also open META-INF\com\android\metadata and do the same replaces
Resign the ROM.zip after compressing it
Important Notes:
DO THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK
You must be running KK ROM before flashing these ROMs down below
This method won't work on Slimkat, although you can grab it from Here
All bugs in these ROMs are related to the original ROM not issues caused by posting
Fell free to report any bugs you face though, and I'll enlist them in known issues
PacMan ROM and MoKee ROM are officially supported, so there is no need to port them
Instructions for all ROMs down below:
Copy the zip to your device
Reboot into recovery
Backup of your system (optional)
Do a factory reset and format [/system]
Flash the Zip

I don't expect updates to appear in the ROM's settings, but if they do,
yes updating that way should mess up a lot, it should make a bootloop.
anyway if you see an update for the ROM you're using, just tell me and I'll port the new release right away

Yeah it's been a week, so here are the Updates of this week:
Updated Carbon ROM to build 4 (2014-04-09)
Updated MoKee ROM to build 2014-04-04 (its kernel was updated to FXP314)
Added XenonHD ROM latest release build 5 [2014-04-02] (download link in second post)
it is very customizable (can't describe it enough)
you can check more info about it in its main thread
about the kernel update, it seems like FXP team have messed up thier kernel a little
so when I tried it on Carbon and XenonHD I got some sort of bootloop,
but it worked fine on MoKee, so MoKee is the only ROM that has FXP314 kernel,
I don't recommended anyone to use it for porting so I didn't upload it

Actually the problem is not much with the latest kernel, but rather with the ROMs:
Recently there was a huge changeset merged in CM tree, among other things it took in kernel a lot of CAF code\blobs from 4.4 Sony sources, and Xperia CM ROM was rebased on this CAF kernel.
It means, that the ROMs based on CM must be rebuild using latest sources, otherwise they'll have a bootloop with the new CAF kernel =)

unfortunately yes, if you want to flash a custom kernel, you have to have an unlocked bootloader (and that is required to flash custom ROM)

This ROM is based off AOSP

@deedwar is this a stable version? If radio is iffy how can we use this? Just to be clear when you say radio, radio is the fm radio or the radio antenna for service signal?
The new version brings an error while installing. "some symlinks failed" "error installind updater script".
I've downloaded the rom 3 times from different servers and the error is present all the time.
What's the problem?
Wipes are all done by me, also flashing the kernel with ADB extra.
I'm coming from mokee rom.

I just installed the system image to check on mine i didnt do a complete install of the ROM itself so that would explain why i didnt see the same issues. I will do a clean build and repost it tomorrow when i wake up. Sorry for that.
In the meantime i relinked the older version with the bluetooth problem and people can install that and just install the new version over the top when i release it tomorrow.
By radio i mean FM RADIO not mobile signal.

Thanks for the updated kernel!
I got one issue tough, the most recent update brakes compatibility with the Gravity box module (Xposed framework).
In my humble opinion, in AOSP the UI should stay unaltered/vanilla, it's what makes this ROM unique.
All customization can be done by the user with Xposed framework and the Gravity box module for AOSP.
For example:
Clear all in recent apps
RAM bar in recent apps
Reboot options
Tiles customization
Torch options
and further on...
Other pros:
Customizing is an option rather than hardcoded in the framework and forced upon the user.
Saves you time as a dev.
and further on...

There is another branch that is there that i will compile from time to time that will be vanilla. However there are a few things i cant live without and while i do install the xposed framework i dont want to have to install a whole heap of mods just to do a few basic things.

I see, will take a look on github and see if I can compile the vanilla branch.

Battery life wasn't tested as RIL isn't working.. So as soon as I tested the major features, I was back to stock ROM.

Wow, seems to work great so far.
The mediascanner issue my phone was facing in CM11 isn't happening, which is great (on cm11 it couldn't see folders until they were renamed, and then couldn't read some id3 tags.
A couple of bugs to report:
Screen backlight doesn't seem to turn off, the screen goes black but the backlight stays on.
GPS doesn't seem to lock.
I didn't have time to test further stuff, but I'll happily try the next version or any patches you want tested (I've restored my backup as I need GPS for ingress).

Thanks for reporting. I have noted it down. I noticed one more bug, that the camera application isnt present. And other apps won't work. This is because the HAL patch isnt merged in omniROM code. So, I have to make a request in the gerrit. For now, I have added the parameters in my build. It is compiling at this moment.
There's another bug. Screen brightness doesn't change when trying to alter it. It's always on full.
Is Xperia M dual C2004 Compatible
I am using Sony Xperia M dual C2004 . Is my phone Compatible with this phone? i dont want to lose my dual SIm functionality

Please always do a clean flash when coming from another ROM
Code:
-Wipe system
-Wipe cache

Use latest version of TWRP

haha seems like you found a nonbroken repo give it a try right now
This is CM based? Because aosp roms seem to be more fluently than cm based roms.. I prefer AOSP Roms like PA and SlimLP.. But I could give this a try

Yyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssss
Hope someday Carbon LP becomes as huge as Carbon KK (if any kernel dev would upgrade the KK kernel i would go back for sure).
BTW buddie, be aware of ur 16th screenshot... there's something not liked here...
@MZO that new cm 2g data commit is implemented?
I did not use carbon roms in past, so I cannot say if it is worth to change from slimLP, but I think I could try and make a backup before, so I can jump back to slim any bugs occured till now?
Is your rom f2fs ready?

I don't know about F2FS support. But yeah it's worth a shot. No bugs so far
Excellent rom ... no bugs so far. Seems smooth and it doesn't heat up like most AOSP rom.
Ok my friend, because of you, I will flash this but if it does not work as fine as slim, I will change to old rom so, let us give it a shot.. see you

Haha, this was the surprise you were eagerly waiting for and I hope you find it worth your time .. Do gimme feedback
Sooo, I really did something bad! dirty flashed over slimLP, expecting bootloops and a needed fullWipe.. But nothing of them! Flashed, booted and I had a working rom! Setted also the sense cm12.1 design and I can say: It is fine! Some layout objects (some text sizes in carbon settings are f.e. too big, some too small) are not correct but all others are fine
So, I think your ROM is fully functional! Well made
Good work. Everything is working fine so far, exept Bluetooth. I have connected my phone with my smartwatch and Bluetooth stopped working after some minutes. Have to reboot to make it work again and after short time, it crashes again.

Haha thanks for your feedback. And yeah data of any api22 ROM is compatible with others but you should expect FCs.
