hi, curently i have the commercial&journalists customization number (1270-4007).
Which customization number will a ftf have when I download the files via with pc companion and create the ftf with flashtool?
The original customization was Generic DE but now it has changed. So will pc companion download a Generic DE or something else?

Whilst attempting to use the flashtool to .181, I connect the phone in flash mode and it sais "please install or reinstall device drivers". I had extracted the fw to the firmware folder, and i presume I have to do something similar with the driver folder, however I am not sure what. There are three .rar folders in there but for x10 and x8, Do I use one of these or should there be drivers for the Arc in there?
Cheers
So.. I'm using CM7 at the moment, and I have changed my build.prop from LT15i to LT18i.
STILL it says 'LT15i' on PC Companion when I connect the phone to my computer.
Anyone know how to change this?
Its just a silly thing, but it annoys me quite a bit.
Did you change every occurrence of LT15i to LT18i ?
Yes. Replaced ~8 LT15i's. The marketplace and all the apps knows I'm using a LT18i, its just the PC Companion that still sees it as a LT15i.
Maybe you've to uninstall the PCC on your computer.
Then activate Install PC Companion in Settings - Sony Ericsson - Connectivity settings.
After that connect your phone with your PC and install PCC again with the upcoming prompt.

Just tried it. Still says LT15 when connecting the phone to the computer
Hello, i flashed my Arc to ARc S official ICS nordic, changed build prop and one xml to display LT15i instead of LT18i, Sony PC suite sees the phone as LT15 only in MCS connection, I tryed to conenct the phone over MTP but cannot install driver over win xp, the pc suite is not showing the phone (nor checking usb debug). and not even charge over MTP conenction.
How to fix it?
Regards.
Hey,
Today i relocked my testpointed arc for firmware upgrade via pc companion. Everything worked great, relock, reboot, connected to pc companion, detected phone and upgrade, the download started and when the preperation for installing starts pc companion just quits the upgrade window and goes to welcome screen of pc companion
I got a notification from pc companion that says the sd-card is not connected, check sim-lock and display-lock. But the sd-card explore window pops up and read/write is working.
Phone status:
Stock FW 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431)
Stock kernel
Root and CWM (BackUp Avalible)
Beats mod with Walkman
Conservation.apk mod
As i know this should not affect the upgrade.
Going to try on my private pc tomorrow, but any ideas or tips?

Why dont you go ahead and reinstall PC Companion, i have seen lots of posts where this does the trick Remember to delete the program files folder
PCC and SEUS are pretty redundant since we have the flashtool, its easier just to flash a ftf.

Go to ''device manager'' in your computer; see if your device drivers are normal; even if it is, I would recommend a complete reinstall of all drivers and programs xperia related. Tell me, are you using Windows 8? If yes, you should now that Windows 8 doesn't install drivers correctly, at least flashtool drivers.
