Shuffle Tone not working on 4.4 KK - LG Optimus G Pro

I have always used shuffle tones to randomize my ring tones. But apparently Shuffle tone is broke on KK and one know of any other apps like shuffle tone that work on KK?
Thanks in advanced.

[Mod] Lockscreen Music Controls

I love the new lockscreen music controls on cyanogen mod but how can we get them onto other roms??
We need this mod!!
Any screenshots of this?

is this the lock screen controls you want? (the one from the video)
There is an app that works with either stock music player of music mod by Eliot Stocker on the market. Haven't tested it, but I can imagine it'll be along the same lines

Re:
I'm running one of the latest cyanogen roms and yes the lockscreen controls are awesome. I really missed that part from sense. And I must disagree with dmpwd because I feel the controls are way better implemented on cyanogen.
1) You can choose if you want the controls always available or not (unlike sense which only shows it when music is playing
2) The sense version always slides back down after 1 or 2 seconds which is really really annoying. By the time I hear the next song and determine if I want to skip that one as well it has moved back down again *sigh*
And it's a lockscreen...why would I want to look at the album art when the screen turns back off anyway right after I move to another song? The only thing missing atm is the artist/songname but I wouldn't be surprised if they're working on that already.
Oh, and cyanogen has the longpress volume-up/down for switching songs as well (very handy in the car).
But to each his own . I'm loving the mods/tweaks of cyanogen.

didn't know about that way to switch songs. sounds really good.
btw, would you please confirm whether cyanogen's lockscreen is the one on the youtube video posted in this thread?
thanks!
Re:
If you pause the youtube video at the 15 sec mark, that's what the controls look like. So it's the white controls only without the square borders that are shown. If you pause the music then it only shows the play button. And there's no fast-forward or rewind on longpress of the buttons for instance. I'm using the cyanogen nightly (cm_bravo-07272010-154338) atm.
I just found out the lockscreen controls also work for the Pandora app . No idea if the sense one does that as well but it's handy. Mostly use the default music app myself.
the controls in cyanogenmod V6.0.0-RC1 look slightly different than the ones in the video, they are more basic and I definately prefer them.
Anyone help on how to do this??

Already tried it, would defiantely prefer the cyanogenmod way ;-)
Re:
darkenergy is right. Widget locker is great. You can use any (stock) widget on the lockscreen since it replaces it. I totally forgot about it since I use QuickDesk (which is awesome btw, double tapping the homekey brings up an extra screen which is basically a layer over any open application so you don't have to go back to a homescreen, I use it for all the toggles, a music and messaging widget). The previous versions of widget locker had some problems with QuickDesk and I don't want to be without that app.
The great thing is that now the developer updated widget locker you can also use the doubleclick on the homebutton on the lockscreen, which is really awesome. A single press doesn't do anything, stays on the lockscreen. Just make sure you use QuickDesk as default home, set Widget Locker as launcher in QuickDesk and your normal launcher in Widget Locker
I just updated widget locker to 1.2.2 and put the Pure Music widget on the lockscreen. This means you have the album art there as well if you want it. You can even use the 4x4 widget. Works great. Widget Locker is also very customizable. Hide notification bar, which keys unlock, different background and so on.

Why do you prefer the cyanogenmod way? It's great for sure, especially since you don't need another app but that's about the only benefit I see of the cyanogenmod way . Am all for it to see it as a default/option in other roms, just curious why you prefer it.

Notification volume linked to ring volume.

Apparently, within ICS, there is no way to separate ring volume from notification volume, which means that when a Profile Manager is used it isn't possible to have ring enabled and notification silent at night, which is my objective.
I've used Quickprofiles and Profile Scheduler and am now on My Profiles + - all of which let me make changes to a night profile, but none of which allow me (because of the specifics of ICS) to keep the ringer on but turn notifications off.
Does anyone have a solution to this, or do I need to wait until ICS changes occur in later updates? Many thanks!
I made an app that can do this. It's still very much in beta so there may be bugs.

Not tested on the HTC One X
Thanks for this! Is it easily switchable - in other words, can I change profiles with a click that will turn off notification sounds but keep the ringtone on (and can I set a slightly quieter ringtone for the 'night' setting?)
Thank you for going to the trouble to try and fix this!

You can set the "absolute" values for the Gmail, SMS and Ringtone volumes. So you can set the Ringtone to "4", the Gmail to "0" and the SMS to "3", for example, and it will alter the volume accordingly when something is received.
I will try and add support for more notifications and 3rd party applications soon!

Is this for separate profiles - so I can set an easily switchable 'Day' and 'Night' profile?

Sorry, no, it doesn't feature profiles yet.
I'll look at adding them in the future though

Aren't you the genius behind Volume+?
Audio Control
You should check out Audio Control. Separate ringer and notification volumes, profiles, and a host of amazing features. My favorite app!

[Q] Alarm sound tones, repository?

I used a custom rom (I change so often I forgot which one) but the built in alarm had many selections and one was called "mildly alarming" or "very alarming" or something close to that.
Anyway, it was a klaxon like sound and very effective for getting out of bed. Anyone recognize this or perhaps have a pointer to a place with a large collection of alarm sound clips?
Try Zedge app from playstore.
Bunch of ringtones, notifications and more....
Hope that helpsssss:thumbup:

Silent notifications but not ringtone?

Hello,
just got my HTC One V late last night, set everything up to how I wanted it (Still on stock ROM, not touching CWM or root or any custom ROMs until I'm comfortable with the device), I'm new to Sense so it's a bit different obviously. I was wondering if it's possible to mute notification sounds but not mute the ringtone as far as I can tell their linked under the 'Sound' menu so am I looking for an option that doesn't exist or am i just blind?
Thanks.

Better lock screen on Touchwiz?

I know a lot of people don't like Touchwiz UI so they would suggest moving to AOSP our CM but I enjoy the motion features built in to the TW ROMs. With that in mind, are there any mods that can make the lock screen more functional?
I had CM7 on my captivate for a while and I loved having the audio player accessible from the lock screen. I tried widget locker on this phone (GS3) but it seemed to slow it down and the music controls were always there, even when I wasn't using the music player. If I remember right, on CM7 the music controls only showed up when I was listening to music.
^^^^ I also chose to stay TWUI due to all the features the phone provides. Hopefully we can get some devs on board to update the lockscreen. I would actually like an htc weather lockscreen port....

I haven't found the setting that only makes the music controls appear when I am listening to music. You're saying it has that ability?

I use PowerAmp and the music controls (which look great) only show up when music is playing.
I presume you already know about adding icons, weather, stock, etc. to the lock screen via TouchWiz? Some replacements look interesting (I want one, too, hehe!): Hive Unlocker. Here's a list: http://techthumbs.com/replace-your-android-phones-lock-screen

Widget Locker does have this ability via widgets. In particular, Phantom Music Control https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.jhg.musiccontrolwidget&hl=en from the market is basically a widget with player controls along with music metadata. The widget has a neat ability to disappear when there is no music playing. HOWEVER, the widget is still there along with the controls so if your screen accidentally turns on, you run the risk of pressing those "invisible" buttons. I haven't used it since Gingerbread so they may or may not have addressed this issue.
Or if you're main concern is to just change tracks, look for a ROM that has "Long-press volume to change tracks". This is very convenient when you're working out or any other situation where you don't feel like turning your screen on just to change tracks. I'm using The Devil's Reject right now which has it already baked in. Very cool ROM as well!
