Bricked my xperia M :( - Sony Xperia M

Hey guys,I was trying to install cwm on my xperia m(c1904) i unlocked the bootloader and and the phone rebooted and the device started successfully, then I tried to install cwm by this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2480556 on the 7th setp it said Execute:
Code:
fastboot flash boot combined-xperia-m-boot.img
I tried that by DOS but it failed
I opened flashtools and opened fastboot mode and selected "select system to flash" and gave the location of that cwm img file,it got stuck at 0% so I unplugged and rebooted my phone and now it's only showing the SONY logo,I can't boot into recovery and when I connect my phone to flash mode the green LED turns on for only 1 second, flashtool does recognizes the phone but when I try to flash the stock firmware it starts flashing it but nothing happens and it shows 0%
I even tried PC companion for recovery but says"modified system detected, cannot repair"
the phone is able to boot into fastboot mode with the blue LED on

ok i unricked it ,reinstalled latest flash tool and flashed stock firmware, now can some1 explain me how do i flash cwm ?

What OS that your use?
In Windows 8 you need to disable driver enforcement before you can install flashtool driver properly

you can use kernel flasher for that. or if you have fastboot then
1. enable USB debugging and connect phone to pc.
2. execute the following commands
"adb reboot-bootloader"
"fastboot flash boot <recovery img name>
"fastboot reboot"

this solved the problem,thanks :good:

[Q] Arc S, fastboot stuck at " sending 'boot' "

Hi,
I have wanted to try CM10 for some time, and unlocked my Arc S for the first time today. I followed the guides at freexperiaproject, so it seems that I was able to unlock the bootloader successfully. After it was unlocked I rebooted and all my user data was reset (as expected).
I downloaded "FXP150-cm-10-20121208-UNOFFICIAL-anzu" from rapidgator and "gapps-jb-20121011-signed" wich I found at the cyanogenmod wiki. I put both the zip files in the root of my SD card. When I try running "fastboot flash boot boot.img" it says "sending 'boot' <5616 KB>...", but nothing more happens. I let it stay for several minutes and I have to push Control+C to abort it. I also extracted "boot.img" to the platform-tools folder under android-sdk.
In the SDK Manager I have installed "Android SDK Tools", "Android SDK Platform-tools" and "Google USB Driver".
Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything more I should do before running fastboot? Sorry if I have missed a basic step here.
Espen
First, copy the file .img to the fastboot folder, if the file system.img means you have to run the command with the command: fastboot> fastboot flash system system.img, if the file userdata.img means that the command should be fastboot> fastboot flash userdata userdata.img .if the file xxxxboot.img mean form the command fastboot> fastboot flash boot xxxxboot.img
Iam using google translate.so,I hope I helped you and I hope you understand

The file from the zip file is called "boot.img". I have copied it to the fastboot folder, and I am running "fastboot flash boot boot.img", as the "how to-" says.
Reinstall drivers

did you make the phone enter fastboot mode?
you should run "fastboot devices" to see.
Thanks for the replies!
I tried on a different computer this morning, and here it worked immediately. Not sure what was wrong on the other one, because I installed the same SDK packages and USB driver. Installing ROM at the moment.
[Edit]: Everything seems to be working fine. Very happy with CM10 at the moment

i dont like flashing kernel by flashtool, as far i done several 2011 devices the best method allways was over adb:good: & it pretty easy.
download android sdk & open the exe. leave all like it is (only may make sure google usb drivers are checked) & press on install.
after install place the boot.img here: ...\sdk\platform-tools
2. connect device into fastboot mode (blue led)
3.click in a empty space in the folder. now HOLD SHIFT & right click, choose ''open command line window here'' (<-- or sth like that sorry my setup is german)
4. enter 'fastboot devices' --> your device should be recognized as a bunch of numbers.
5. flash kernel by entering ''fastboot flash boot boot.img'' it tells you all done.
6. ''fastboot reboot''
7. enjoy new kernel

[Q] [HELP] C1905 stuck on bootloop, USB debugging off

I modified the build.prop file in the /system because I tried to enable a feature from Xperia Z1 I found somewhere in this forum. (I was a fool, yes.) When I rebooted my phone, it got stuck in a bootloop and I can no longer access recovery mode. I tried to flash stock ROM but unfortunately, USB debugging is off. What should I do? I know a Nexus user who was able to flash his phone with USB debugging off but his procedures are specific for Nexus only. Help me, please
Details:

Unlocked bootloader

I've never had a problem flashing ftfs with UDB debugging off, just make sure you have all of the drivers installed and then select the ftf to flash in flashmode. Once it asks you to connect the phone you will have to take the battery out, put it back in and put the cover back on to connect the USB cable and the flashmode button. When it goes into flashmode the LED will go green and then go off, this is normal. Flashtool will then restore your device to stock.

1) Make a backup of the firmware you already have.
2) Open your original firmware file with WinRar or something like that.
3) Delete the loader.sin file out of the firmware.
4) Proceed to flash your firmware again, this time unticking the wipe cache and data boxes and excluding everything but the system.
Download latest backup from Bonoboo thread.. it has full root and CWM, just restore it via CWM

you can use fastboot drivers to flash CWM.. First download the backup and move it your SD card (use card reader) and insert it back in your phone .Download fastboot drivers and extract it on your computer.
)
Download CWM file and extract it. Now copy the .img file from the folder and copy to the fast boot folder.
Now switch off your phone and connect to the PC in fastboot mode. Press and hold volume up key and connect the phone in the USB cable. [Make sure that you have installed necessary drivers. Else it wont work. ]
open a command window there by holding shift key and right clicking on the white space in fastboot folder (replace boot_image_name.img with the name of .img file in the cwm folder)
Example:::"fastboot flash boot boot_image_name.img"
Wait till it finishes the shell. Done... Now power on your device and when LED turns **** click volume up and down few times, CWM will be opened then restore backup of bonoboo which you moved to your SD card
C:\Flashtool\Fastboot>Boot_image_name.img
'Boot_image_name.img' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
it turn like this in the command window, could somebody help me.
i need the step in more detail how to flash the CMW.
you should type(after changing the directory to the one that has the recovery):
fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
Sometimes it doesnt work saying remote command not allowed or something like that, so dont hesitate to flash the boot partition instead because ultimately you are going to restore everything
if the former doesnt work then type:
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
Note:you will first have to change the directory to the one that contains the recovery ex, if i have the recovery file in c:\ then type:
cd C:\
help me guyz.. i have c1904 but its never bootup even if i flash the firmware . alwasys bootlop in xperia animation .. tried to install cwm then from their flash any rom but it never been started .. means its stuck in flashing for every.. please help me.. tried ressurection cm13 both same. unlock bootloader. any way to get in back. seems like its dead in eveyway.

Hey there,
Looks like u r just a step away from CM11 and i think i can help u with that, just follow the steps:
Plz check again and again before attempting this, this will work for sure but still
Download Androxyde XPERIA Flashtool
Install the software , then go to C:\\flashtool\flashtool drivers and install drivers for your phone
make sure u install fastboot and flashmode drivers
then, connect ur phone in flashmode (holding volume down key) and wait for flashtool to detect ur device, later click on the icon which says "BLU". ur bootloader will unlock
then connect your phone in fastboot mode(holding volume down key)
Copy the CM11.zip and gapps.zip onto ur sdcard.
extract the boot.img from the CM11 zip file and click on the Flashing button and select fastboot mode and click on kernel to flash , then select boot.img
unplug ur phone, boot into recovery (holding volume up )
Wipe data/cache and dalvik cache
go to mounts, click format system
then go to install from sdcard and select Cm11.zip, later flash Gapps.zip
Reboot , enjoy
the Fastboot and Flashmode keys vary from device to device, i use Sony Xperia M Dual C2004 and the above mentioned keys were for that phone.
plz tell me if this helped or not:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::good::good:
hi,
i tried it but same problem, when i flash kernel boot.img from cm11.zip (now no more errors - maybe is it im trying at moment on win7 with new drivers), phone wont turn, led always light on orange. I worried that maybe is cuz of root, so i did ftf new 4.3. So i tried boot "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696259" no problem i went for first time to recovery mode on my xperia m. SU showed in apps. bootloader unlocked, debugg on.
but i dont understand one thing when phone is ON i check drivers in flashtool, i see device and adb drivers in flashtool, but when phone is off it say no adb drivers and debugg off??? but flashing kernel for root worked fine
Thanks
when i try to flash cm11.zip from root kernel in recovery it says Aborted, so why boot kernel from root works and from cm11 no?

xperia s not booting into recovery

Hi, I just installed the latest Paranoid Android ROM into my Xperia S.. During the unlock of the boot loader the device was recognized by my PC in fastboot mode, so I had no problem unlocking it. Not even flashing the recovery (TWRP) and the boot.img file gave me any problem..
Now if I try in any way to boot into recovery, my phone gets into fastboot mode instead of recovery mode. Also, my PC can't recognize the device anymore.. If I connect the phone in fastboot mode into the PC, the PC says that there are no driver installed.
If anyone could help me, it would be really appreciated..

problem with fastboot twrp flashing

my device came with unlocked bootloader, so I tried to flash twrp but every time i type "fastboot flash recovery C:\adb\twrp-3.2.1-3-whyred.img" and hit enter, the device seems to disconnect from pc and there is "press any key to reboot" in fastboot on my phone.
How can I solve this issue?`
Phone gets detected by adb/fastboot tool so its not a driver problem. I tried different cables and usb ports aswell.
Firmware is latest global stable.

Well if you already had adb in your pc, rename the twrp file to recovery, you don't have to move the twrp from download folder, open download folder press shift and right click then select open cmd here, on cmd type "adb device" to see if your device connected, then after that type this "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" press enter than after that type "fastboot boot recovery.img" TEAMWIN logo should appear on your device and then you can unplug your device. Hope this useful
i am trying to flash twrp there is no folder called adb i have installed the 15 second adb and all so i have got this minimal adb flashboot and i tried with that and got this ---- FAILED (remote: Flashing is not allowed in Lock State). i have granted all usb and oem unlocking. please help with this
Phone shows unlocked during the boot?
I had the same Problem, after a Factory Reset works for me.
I am on Miglobe-Rom Miui10 8.6.28.
Minimal ADB is enough.
Or use this from Attachment.
Unpack with Win.zip and copy Twrp in this Folder.
Conect the Phone with your Pc ,boot into Bootloader and click "cmd-here.exe"
Use this Command
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-3-whyred.img
@Nazukii - Quick question - any chance you could try running GameBench on your device, and see if our background service dies when the device is disconnected from the PC? I don't have a Note 5 Pro to test, and I've got some user complaints. Any assistance would be awesome!

If you have made sure that you have all the drivers installed and still have not solved, you need to use an Intel-based PC / notebook and use a usb 2.0.
